Not hot enough to cook meet & tried for an hour

What's great about it: It did work just fine for the cheese and chocolate
What's not so great: It never did get the broth hot enough to cook the meet.
This item was returned because it did not serve its purpose. We left a potato in the broth for 30 minutes and it never cooked.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: good price
What's not so great: thin metal, heat switch hard to use
The pot is really thin. The heat output is probably too much for the metal and can burn the contents if not monitored carefully. The switch used to control the temperature can stick and make adjusting the temp difficult. When adjusting the temp and the control sticks, no easy way to grip the base, and it is very light so it can slide away from you. You get what you pay for, I guess.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just what I was looking for.

What's great about it: Easy to do, big hit with guest.
What's not so great: I could use a little bigger one.
We have been talking about getting a fondue for months now and have not been able to find one that you can actually use to cook meat. This one fit our needs and is a big hit. The only negative thing I could say is I wish it could be bigger.

What's great about it: Gets oils, cheese or chocolate hot in a hurry
What's not so great: no complaints
I gave this to my son & girlfriend for Christmas and they love it! Have used it several times already and have no complaints about it's performance.

What's great about it: Easy to set up
What's not so great: Doesn't really perform well.
I had decided rather last minute that I wanted to do a fondue dinner for New Years Eve with my husband. We looked around and decided that the price was right and ordered this product online at BestBuy.com and picked it up directly that day at the store. Service as usual was prompt and courteous. We took the Fondue Pot home, plugged it in, prepared our food - and were disappointed in the performance. We decided to try the cheese fondue first - and it scortched the cheese - and burned it on to the bottom of the pot. I did eventually get it cleaned up - and we decided to use it for our meat. We had prepared a broth for meat fondue on the stove top in a different pot - then transferred it into the Fondue Pot... We had the heat at full blast - and were nervous since our cheese was a disaster... the broth did not heat up enough to heat / cook our meat. It never simmered at all. We did return to Best Buy with out any problem tho.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
