What's great about it: Powerful, E Z change bags, great price, great quality, lighted powerhead.
What's not so great: Nothing!
I looked at several vacuums before buying the Electrolux. They all made a ghastly racket that was so bad it gave me a headache! Then I tried the Electrolux and was completely sold! It is quiet and powerful and although I know everyone is going bagless these days, I like not having to handle what is coming out if the vacuum because of the bag!! The powerhead is thorough and quiet but that does not stop it from getting the dirt down deep in the rug. Bags are easy to change and the HEPA filter keeps the dust from being blown around the house! Bottom line is that this is the best vacuum I have ever had! I would definitely recommend this to anyone!
This product is or has... Enough suction that a single-pass does the job, Easy to carry, A light canister, Convenient to store, A great pet hair picker upper, Useful tools, easy to change bags
About me... Big Family, Pet owner, Brand conscious, All about design, quality buyer and hard to please
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Well-designed, luxurious, strong and very quiet.
What's not so great: The retractable power cord could be a little longer.
Since I was little, my family has owned an Electrolux vacuum. In 37 years that entailed three vacuums, one of which is still happily being used on the second floor.
I bought this one as a Christmas gift for Mom, in part because it was one of the few canister vacuums with a power beater brush head. I liked the design since I first saw it in a magazine a couple of years ago. It looks great and its functionality and details are well considered.
I've had the pleasure of using it several times and plan to buy one for myself. Its suction is powerful, the beater brush palpably deep-cleans and grooms the carpet, it's smartly designed, and it's very, very quiet. It feels very high end and luxurious to use. A light twist of the wrist and the head steers left and right. Mom finds it comfortable to use in spite of her arthritis.

I bought this vacuum about 5 yrs. ago and it has broken more times than i can count. I wanted a good vacuum so i thought if i bought a top of the line model and paid a lot of money for it - it should be good. Not true! When i called customer service looking for an authorized dealer to fix it, they only had 'one" location which was a single man working out of an old store front (who happened to be the best part of owning this vacuum).
I will never buy another Electrolux again and recommend that no one else buys one either.

What's great about it: Build quality, Insane Suction, Performance, Quiet, LED Forward Lighting, Lightweight
What's not so great: Doesn't come with @hand Powerbrush
Okay, so I've been a long time Dyson owner, first owning a DC14, then upgrading to a DC15 Ball(Dyson's best machine, BTW), and after my DC15 was stolen by Korean moving men (I was stationed in South Korea/Osan AB at the time), I moved up to the DC25 Ball - Blueprint model. First off, the quality of the DC15 was so much higher than the DC25. The DC15 had a much larger debris container, a nice METAL soleplate cover, a better turning radius, and a more aggressive brush-roll. On the other hand, the DC25 uses more plastic (especially for the soleplate), the brush-roll is far less aggressive, the debris container is much smaller, the handle flexes too much, and the airways seem narrower than on the older model (they seem more prone to clogging, but that hasn't happened to me).
Anyways, I have been using the DC25 for a while, and so many little things kept bothering me about this machine: for starters, the unit sounding like an old shopping cart when pushed, creaking plastic, the hose coupling breaking, the machine sounding like a loud street sweeper after putting a freshly rinsed HEPA filter back into the machine (the DC25 has a washable HEPA cartridge, but the rubber seal around it is not of proper thickness, so the machine emits a loud wailing noise until the heated air from the motor's exhaust causes the rubber seal to expand), a brush-roll that causes loud rumbling noises because it doesn't properly fit in the powerhead (I got Dyson to send me a new brush-roll, but the new one didn't properly fit as well. My remedy: stuffing toilet paper in one end of the brush-roll to get it to snugly fit in powerhead).
So I go months using this thing, putting up with all its imperfections, but one day the OCD in me caused me to snap...in realizing that a $500 vacuum should be FAR MORE REFINED than this disposable piece of rubbish. So I put the Dyson on Craigslist, and started shopping around for a new machine. I looked at many independence vacuum shop boutique makes and models, including the new Oreck Edge upright ($800), and the Miele S7 Tango ($800), and a few Sebo's and Riccar's as well....but then I came across the Electrolux Oxygen canister, and I knew that it was the machine I was looking for.
The first thing I noticed about the Oxygen was the build quality. All the plastics are tight fitting, and did not feel flimsy. The wheels on the canister and powerhead are rubberized, which are more forgiving on hard flooring. The bristles on the floor tool and dusting brush are soft animal hairs (will not scratch hard surfaces), not plastic. I was also impressed with how silent the wheels on canister and powerhead are when in motion: they were absolutely quiet (I'm not sure, but I suspect ball bearings are used for the wheels of this machine), where as pushing around a Dyson sounded like pushing an old, rickety shopping cart. Also, this machine is made in Europe (Hungary to be exact)....when was the last time you saw a European vacuum cleaner sold in a mass retail venue, or simply anything not made in China? Occasionally you'll see an Oreck or two at Target, and maybe a few Miele's at a Bed Bath & Beyond here and there, but most of the time, mass retail will offer you nothing but consumables made in China, or in Dyson's case, Malaysia. Overall, the Electrolux seemed more like a machine that you'd find in an independent vacuum shop, and not your typical Wal-Mart or Sears.
As far as features go, the Oxygen has an electric powerhead with foot pedal height adjust, LED headlights that give off brilliant bluish white illumination(very similar to Miele S7 and Oreck Edge), a foot pedal release that detaches the telescoping wand from the powerhead and allows you to connect the bare floor nozzle, dusting brush, crevice tool, or stair tool to the end of the wand, sealed HEPA filtration (according to the September 2010 issue of Good Housekeeping, the Oxygen is the canister with the best filtration and lowest particulate emissions for people with allergies, while the Miele S7 was named best upright), foot controls for activating the automatic cord winder and turning the machine on/off.
The performance of this machine is fantastic. The suction is unreal, coming from this little machine, especially compared to my old Dyson. I've vacuumed plenty of filth in my household already without changing the bag once, and the suction is still very, very strong. The "DeepClean" powerhead really does deep carpet: I always hear little sand particles being lifted through the powerhead, and trickling through the hose, no matter how many times I go over the same patch of carpeting. This machine is also unbelievably quiet; the powerhead is slightly louder than the canister/suction motor (it was the other way around with my Dyson).
Another quality of this machine that I really enjoy is the design of the "@hand Powerbrush" (this is an OPTIONAL ACCESSORY that costs $80). It is a small hand tool attachment with a rotating brush-roll that is MOTOR DRIVEN, which unlike other hand tools with air-turbine driven brush rolls, yields unrelenting brush roll RPM's and torque in removing pet hair and dislodging embedded dirt without compromising airflow performance. However, the feature that stands out is the ability to rotate the @hand powerbrush 180º, so that the debris intake/brush-roll faces forward for cleaning seat backs, the front carpeted areas of individual stairs, or any other vertically carpeted areas without awkwardly holding the handle.
Overall, I am happy that I purchased the Electrolux Oxygen. Sure, I could have gone with an indie shop product with would have cost almost $1000, but this vacuum yields the same levels of performance, quality, and refinement for hundreds of dollars less.

Had a Filter Queen for many years but wanted a good quality but lower cost replacement. So far this one seems to fit the bill.

What's great about it: very light and quiet
What's not so great: Price
This is a great vacuum, very quiet and light weight compared to Kenmore Canisters. It seams also that it vacuums better (more suction power).
It moves very easy and the LED light on the brush head is very bright.
We would definitely buy this vacuum again.
The only negative part is the kind of high price.

Do not buy this vaccuum! You might as well buy the $69 Eureka because that is who makes it. We bought the Oxygen and within 3 months it already physically broke. The repairman said it was made by Eurka in China. Everything is plastic... fortunately the warranty was in effect, however that only lasts a year. We literally have had to glue a piece that keeps popping out in the carpet attachment. The bag change activator has never worked. The vaccuum itself works well but it was not built to last and I don't think it is worth the money. While the small size is an attraction you pay for it with a small bag.
