What's great about it: Photo quality is excellent
What's not so great: Replaced cyan ink cartridge and would not work. Had to exchange printer because it would not recognize new cartridge.
Great photo quality. I hope I don't have anymore problems with ink cartridge replacement.

What's great about it: High quality printing; good price; quick start up; small footprint
What's not so great: Low paper capacity
I spent a considerable amount of time comparing units with similar features and similar cost before deciding to go with the Epson XP-800. I am very glad I did. I have been using the unit for over a month and have been very happy with it. The print quality is very good. I have printed a few photos, and they have also been very good. The unit starts up relatively quickly, unlike some other units. The initial setup was painless - I opted for a direct ethernet connection of the printer to my wireless router. I have 4 notebooks that wirelessly connect with the router, and all work with no problems with the printer. Two use Windows XP, one uses Windows 7, and one uses Windows 8. To get the setup software and drivers for the Windows 8 machine I had to go to the Epson website and make a download - but its installation was easy. I have used the copy function of the unit a lot, and the quality of copies is very good. The unit is nonintrusive when not in use - no annoying startups and other noises as in some other units. The paper trays have a somewhat low paper capacity, but are fine for the occasional home user. This was definitely a good purchase for me.

What's great about it: Lots of features, both wire and wireless
What's not so great: Little expensive, slow to start printing after coming out of sleep mode
I haven't printed on any photo paper yet but what I have printed is clear and good looking. One thing I like about it, and one of the reasons I picked it, was everything closes up and helps prevent dust and cat hair getting into the printer. Which is why our last printer stop printing.
It also has lots of features; wired, wireless, usb, scanning, cd printing, copy, memory card reader. It is a little expensive but with all of the features I was kinda expecting it.
One thing that I really dislike about it is, when you go to print after it has been in sleep/power save mode. It will take about 2-5 minutes to even start printing. Little frustrating if you just want to print one page real quick.

What's great about it: Ink lasts awhile and I use my printer everyday
What's not so great: I am a Mac user and I can not figure out the on cd direct print
Cd direct print very hard to figure with Mac. Still have not figured it out.... And everytime I change the ink it seems to print real light and skip spots for awhile before it starts to look real dark

This printer was very easy to get setup and use. The photo prints were very fast, averaging about 22 seconds to print a 4x6 photo. I highly recommend this.

What's great about it: It has all the features that home users could want and it doesn't take up much space. Wireless printing too
What's not so great: No issues so far
This printer has worked great for my use at home. It has all the features I would need at home (documents, photos, wireless,scanning, faxing). It will also print 2 sided documents so I can save on paper. It was a little pricy but I got it on sale and used reward points to help out.

This printer is great. I am still using the ink that came with the printer. With the Kodak printer I had before we would have had to buy new ink 2 or 3 times on what has been printed on this Epson and we are light users. I like how if you print on both sides of the paper it does it without having to turn the paper over. The price of the ink is not bad either.

What's great about it: For 3 months it printed the most spectacular photos
What's not so great: After 3 months it couldn't even print a plain black print letter
As noted...this printer was awesome when I first got it...loved it more than any printer I have ever had. The photos were life like. Then suddenly, for no apparent reason...it couldn't even print a letter you could read...ie; the print was so light. I went through all the troubleshooting steps...used an entire lot of ink (about $60) cleaning heads, nozzles and every thing else by myself and with Epson; still no difference. I put some new ink in and it was a little bit better for a couple of print jobs..then back faded prints. So now, my only option is to get a refurb (after 3 mos!) from Epson because Best Buy won't take it back. Ridiculous waste of time and money.

What's great about it: This printer can be setup and used with out a computer.
What's not so great: Expensive if not on sale.
I was able to emulate full home office functionality with my iPad and the Epson XP-800 printer. This printer can be configured to your wireless network independent of connecting it to a computer. The printer setup was intuitive to use and when it established a wireless network connection, the Epson XP-800 automatically updated it's self to the latest software revision. The Epson XP-800 is able to scan documents to my iPad by using the free Epson cloud and then forwarding it to the tablet via e-mail. AirPrint works flawlessly or you can use the direct wireless printing feature provided. Photo quality is very good, as well as document printing on quality paper. Be aware that the printer paper tray is sized for 8.5x11 inch paper and it does not print legal size documents. I love the fact that I was able to downsize my office environment to this one multifunction device and my tablet.

What's not so great: Paper tray does not hold alot of paper.
This is a very good and versatile printer especially if you can get it on sale.What I really like is the large touch screen, it makes it easy to see all the functions and job status. Print quality is very good but the paper tray does not hold very much paper however refilling the paper tray is very easy.

This is a good printer if you need only the basic printing.Been trying to use all the the fonctions but no luke so far but once I get all the setup , like the remote printing i wil say this is a great ppriter.

I bought this for my geneology project. I am happy since it makes my book look like I brought it to a professional. The only problem was that it ook a little longer to print than I had planned.

What's great about it: Photo Quality is awesome. Easy to setup.
What's not so great: Copying a photo to full size photo paper took some figuring.
This is my 2nd Epson Printer. My 1st printer [which I had for 5 or 6 years], died just before Christmas. I had another printer that came with my computer so I waited to buy a new printer. That didn't last long - hated the printer because I could not print a nice photo - it was great for documents. So when I decided to buy a new printer - it had to be an Epson! I talked with a saleman who directed me to my new Epson - Expression Premium XP-800 Small-in-One Wireless Photo All-In-One Printer. Very pleased with my printer.
