What's great about it: Good suction and good set of tools for the price
What's not so great: Does not last!
"It is a good product with good suction but it is not strong enough to last more than 6 months. First the release pedal is too weak it kept breaking again and again (It was replaced with original parts many times). Then the belt does not fit correclty so the brush does not rotate even on flat surfaces. Finally the engine is very nosy. I'll recommend getting something else. Next time I'm not getting a Bissel."

Amazing Value

What's great about it: Inexpensive; strong; built well; pretty
What's not so great: Hose is too stiff and short
"This vacuum is an amazing value at $85. I had always used Kenmore Cannisters, which are excellent, but expensive. When mine needed $180 in repairs, I decided to try this upright bagless. I was amazed at the suction and being bagless you actually see all the dust, dirt and doghair my other vacuum wasn't picking up. Plus storage is easy, everything being self contained. The only downfall is the hose, when trying to vacuum around the ceiling you really notice the short stiff hose. Plus the brush is constantly spinning the whole time, be careful not to burn the rug while you're looking up for a long period."

What's great about it: Great suction, lightweight, easy to use
What's not so great: wish the cord was longer
"Terrific product. Had other more well-known brand most of my life, but last "other brand" was quite expensive, very heavy and not very good! Husband suggested trying a Bissell and we bought the cheapest one. It's the best vacuum cleaner I've ever had. Does require a bit of upkeep, (clogged twice in the 3 years I owned it) but so worth it! Am planning on buying another one this afternoon!"

A very good product

What's great about it: power, light, easy to use, good cleaning
What's not so great: needs constant care, seems fragile
"This is a product that I had for almost a year now. The light burned out after a month and it does seem to become noisier with every use. But, with a proper and constant care, it did a great job every time for my two bedrooms apartment. It is very easy to use and it works pretty fast in cleaning the wall to wall carpet; for the small piece of hard floor that I have it does not seem appropriate. Overall, a very reliable product for now."

What's great about it: great suction, fairly quiet
What's not so great: none!
"this thing picked up items i didnt even hear it gobble up until i looked into the chamber before dumping it into the garbage! so much easier to not have bags, very easy to use and figure out. i love the wind up cord, makes my life easier and everything neater. my carpet even smells fresher after using it because of the hepa filter. it even picks up very well with the attachments which is hard to find in a vacuum."

What's great about it: CleanVIEW, wide path, great hose, HEPA filter
What's not so great: Loses suction when container is full
"This vacuum tells you when the spot you're vacuuming is clean, and you'd be surprised that just going over a spot once doesn't do the trick. After I use this vacuum, the carpet gets so clean and fresh smelling. It's a great vacuum."

What's great about it: Cleans like pro !!!
What's not so great: LOL I don't care for red
"I was looking for a nice cheap vacuum and found one in this model. What I didn't expect was the quality to be as high as it is. Who needs one of those high priced vacs when this one does the job just fine. I've had it for about 3 months now and hasn't lost a bit of suction. As a matter of fact it's been shared amongst three homes due to my brothers who refuse to go and buy their own so you can tag on 6 more months of useage. And these homes all have at least 1 carpeted living room and 2 or more carpeted bed rooms. The vac also works great on hardwood and kitchen tile floors and attachments work great on carpeted stairs."

What's great about it: Bagless, washable filters. Everything washable
What's not so great: None
"I have owed for 3-4 years now. Had 4-5 different vacumms before I got this one (those only lasted 3-6 months). Thank god I have warranty. I love that everything is washable! Picks up everything (I have 3 kids, 2 dogs and a cat) and doesn't ruin it. My next vacumm will definately be a Bissell!!"

"The vacuum worked ok for a couple of months, and now is so loud it hurts my ears to use it. It is ok and picking up dust, etc... but the noise is deafening!"

"We purchased two of these vacuums one for our house and the other for my mother-in-law. She upgraded to a Dyson a year later and we suffered with the Bissell. After 3 years it has completely lost suction and basically pushes the dirt around. The attachment has always had poor suction. It also smells bad every time I vacuum, like burnt rubber. I would put the $85 towards a Dyson and have it last a lot longer."

What's great about it: Works really good on carpet AND tile; Bagless
"I had a $100 gift certificate so I was forced to find a vacuum that would work good for less than $100. I chose this one and am very satisfied with it. Besides myself, I live with two other girls, and girls shed alot :-P. But this vacuum was able to pick all the hair up from the carpet AND the bathroom tile."

"Although the bare floor option never really worked well this vacuum did get the job done in my 800sq. ft. apartment for about a year. But since then it has just quit doing the job and requires 10-15 of work to get it running each time we go to use it. Admittedly we had ferrets during the first year I owned it but they hardly have thick heavy hair that can damage a vacuum. Meanwhile my cheaper & smaller dirtdevil gets the job done everytime."

"This vaccuum has performed fine. I've had it about a year. Emptying out the container can be a messy process, but not too bad. I just changed the belt, which is necessary, as the instructions indicate, as the belt had seriously stretched over the past year.
Not a lot of bells and whistles. But a good basic machine"

"Initially it worked ok, after about a year, dirt would not go into the bagless cup, it would fill up in the filtration system which of course rendered that useless cause all it did was catch the dirt. Probably ok for a small apt, not a house with kids & pets"
