This unit replaced my 3 year old Samsung which replaced my 31 year old Admiral that Hurricane Jeannie ruined. The Samsung was declared beyond repair on the second service call.
After 10 days we finally got delivery on this Whirlpool which worked fine for only 11 days and then the refrigerator side died. Now I have to wait 8 days for the repairman.
I tried to give this review one star but couldn't get below 4.

What's great about it: Freezer side works OK
What's not so great: Fresh food side won't go below 51º

I would not recommend this one at all. After six months the door to the ice dispenser came apart (made of plastic). After having the refrigerator for two years, ice maker quit working and then started having problems with the temp in the refrigerator side, just didn't keep items cold. So now I'm having to look for another refrigerator, so I will buy anything but a whirlpool.
What's great about it: Water dispenser worked fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
