What's great about it: powerful, lighted display, good control layout, doesn't blow my circuit breaker
What's not so great: feels cheap, noisy, carousel jerky, controls hard to press, door eject button flaky, slides around
This MW seems more cheaply made than my previous one (a Sharp) that cost less than half of this. I feel like a lot of products are going downhill in quality these days. This is better in some respects than the previous one, but worse in others. The door doesn't open if the eject button is hit on the right side. In addition, every time I hit the door eject the unit would turn a bit to the right, which I solved by putting some rubber pads under the feet. The rear "feet" are just bumps on the sheet metal BTW.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Straightforward controls. No guesswork.
This microwave has so many great features for the price, it's hard to begin. Very large capacity with turntable and many quick start features for pizza, popcorn and more. Defrost mode is terriffic.
