Now slamming a basketball, dodging a bullet or slaying a vicious monster on your GameCube is even easier. Updating the popular design of the Nintendo 64 controller, the new GameCube Controller will give you extreme control. With all-new enhancements for better comfort and gameplay, you'll enjoy your games like never before. Controller functions have been organized into distinct left and right systems, providing you with easier use. You can set the A button home position, so the role of each button is more intuitive. More functions have been added to increase gameplay control, including analog triggers on the left and right as well as a second analog stick. The rumble feature is now conveniently implemented into the controller, eliminating the need for inserting and removing a separate rumble pack.

What's great about it: Great Controller for Gamecube or Wii What's not so great: Stops Functioning Perfectly After Time, Out of Date
"Great controller for Gamecube or Wii. Not as many buttons, as durable, or easy to use as newer controllers is the only complaint I have besides the fact that its wired. Otherwise I havent had any major problems with it and I've had it for 6 years."

Perfect Nintendo Controller

What's great about it: Great design for Nintendo games What's not so great: Looks a little funny
"Recently, I've been looking for a new GameCube controller to play on my Wii so I was happy to find them here. Ones found on eBay are usually either used or knockoffs. Even though I like the classic controller, this controller is still my favorite for Super Smash Bros. and all the classic games."

Good Controller
07/24/2008
By MCAlexfrom Florida
What's great about it: Good design for games, like the color, still isn't obsolete! What's not so great: Corded
"What makes me happy about this controller the most is that it still isn't obsolete. It can be used on your Wii if you're still used to the handling of this controller and it's even recommended in some games such as SSBB and Mario Kart Wii. I'm still used to this controller so I'm happy I didn't get rid of mine and I recommend you buy one if you have one of these games and don't like the Wii controllers much."

What's great about it: Unique design, good for casual gamers What's not so great: Plastic-y feel, not as solid as some others
"Good controller, better than a lot of 3rd party ones."

Actually a great controller

"The Wii classic controller is a bit awkward and hard to use. Although it has an advantage of being wireless, you still need to attach it to the Wiimote (where it dangles like the Nunchuk). This is more of an issue when you play older Gamecube games and downloadable virtual games when you need to press a combination of buttons to run and jump at the same time. Too bad, the jump button (on the Wii classic controller) is far from the run button and much smaller than the original design. For these reasons, the original GC controller is still the preferable choice. I have used other 3rd party controllers and nothing can get close to the original Nintendo controller.
Pros: - Perfect response. The most annoying thing that some 3rd party controllers are notorious to is snapping back to the opposite direction when you wanted to have your Pacman or Mario guy turn right or left. - Perfect handgrip - rumble effect - Unlike the Nintendo "Wavebird", this is still available.
Cons: - Wired - Expensive, as Nintendo has almost abandoned the Gamecube console for Wii and very few are left."

What's great about it: helps you play some Wii games What's not so great: price?
"If you own a Gamecube, then its a no-brainer that you need this item. If you own a Wii, this item can assist you while playing some Wii games and all gamecube games. The controller can also be used to play Mario Kart Wii. However, you can find other gamecube controllers for $20, $15, or even $10. Although, some of the cheaper controllers are knock-offs. So, in conclusion, 5 stars for item quality and 3 stars for price averages to 4 stars."

What's great about it: Good sturdy controller, great design What's not so great: none
"I like this controller especially because of its sturdiness and ergonomic design. Its design feels comforting to the hands and the buttons are accessible and are therefore easy to press."

What's great about it: Work well What's not so great: Too short of a chord
"I have 3 of these controllers for my gamecube and one wireless. I much perfer the wireless because there isn't a chord that gets in the way of anyone and its easier to play because with a chord it could come unplugged because its not very long. It does work well, but there isn't much to buy for gamecube anymore. Wii has taken over."

Cool Controller
04/20/2008
By Jmc2793from Los Angeles, CA
What's great about it: Cool Color, Works both on Gamecube & Wii, Rumble
"I originally bought this for my Gamecube a while ago, but when the Wii came out, I used it for both. This controller is great, it has a cool color, and is very durable. If you have a Gamecube or Wii, you should get this because two players on Gamecube is more fun, and Virtual Console games and Super Smash Bros. Brawl works with it. This is like a must for you."

Perfect fit for certain places, lacking elsewhere.

What's great about it: Absolute best controller for gamecube fighting games, and later iterations such as Brawl and Naruto Revolution. What's not so great: Bad for most VC games; Not good for multi-platform fighters like Guilty Gear.
"Our good old ergonomically confusing friend, the gamecube controller, is absolutely fantastic for gamecube games on your Wii, or for later iterations of gamecube-specific fighters, such as Brawl or Naruto Revolution. However, multi-platform fighters, such as guilty gear or street fighter 2, are better suited to the classic controller. As well, some SNES VC games are nigh unplayable with the GC controller, such as Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country. From an ergonomic standpoint, it's bordering perfection, with some odd exceptions: The d-pad is atrociously small and requires a heavy-handed touch, and the z button definitely belongs elsewhere. So in conclusion, if you have Gamecube games and/or love Brawl or Naruto, this is the only option for you. As well: Early reviews indicate the GC controller is hands and away the best controller for the new Mario Kart."
