What's great about it: Fun to play!!!! Great tracks to chose from!!
What's not so great: Not many tracks to chose from on DS download play. Otherwise nothing!!!
"This Mario game was a great buy!! If you like any sort of racing game I'd look here first. My family and friends all enjoy playing it. I even got my friend to buy it for her DS. My family and I also got the Wii game which was great as well."

What's great about it: Easy, yet somewhat challenging, very fun, especially when playing with friends
What's not so great: There aren't very many tracks to pick on DS Download Play
"I bought this game last year and I was going to buy some other game that I got later. Buying this one first was a good deccision because it's really fun and my 3 sisters and I love playing it together. It's also good on the wii. I hope there is a second one."

What's great about it: controls, characters
"it's a good classic mario kart game that will always be a favorite. This is a must buy. It doesn't get old as quick as all the other games. I didn't wanna put it down it down. It's that much fun."

What's great about it: online racing, battle mode
What's not so great: no online battle mode
"i wish they would have included the battle for online use. that wouldve made this game superb. it is a good game. if you love mario kart then you should get this game and play it anywhere you want. theres lots ta do when you're tired of regular racing all of the time."

What's great about it: The gameplay and the fun

"Me and my 7 year old daughter just bought this game and have had hours of fun. The gameplay and graphics are great. She has no trouble playing it and it is not too hard for her as some games can be when kids are young. She loves this game and is so glad to have it. We will definatley get our money's worth here. You never know what your going to get when you purchase a game. This one is worth the price. I grew playing this game as a kid so even if you are an adult buying it for yourself it is highly addicting. This is one of the better Nintendo DS games I have seen and played."

What's great about it: Many of the tracks are really fun and original.
What's not so great: Online mode isn't that great.
"This game has plenty of characters, a LOT of karts, and some really good tracks. I had hoped the graphics would have been a little better but they're still OK. This game is better than the GBA version of Mario Kart but not as good as the Wii version. Overall a good, solid game."

What's great about it: It's easy and addictive
"The game where normal racng rules don't apply! It's fun, addicitve and extreme. Best game ever released by the nintendo company, where you race head to head with the mario characters! It starts of with a simple easy race track and then it gets harder and harder, with lots of bonus and surprises on the way! Kids and adults love this game it's neverending fun! You can keep playing continueously and never get annoyed or bored! One of the easiest game to learn how to play, and he funnest. You have many choices to choose from of characters to cars. Thinking about buying it, well don't wait get I promise it's worth your money."

What's not so great: Nothing, absoultly nothing.

"This is a good and fun game for kids any age, I would recommend this game to people.. It isn't really hard to play, younger kids could learn how to play it easily...
The graphics in the game are good! In this game you get to choose the character you want to be and what type or car/mario cart you want to drive, and you get to unlock different courses to race on. You also get rewards/metals if you place highly in a race.."

What's great about it: Its like the old Mario Kart but with better graphics
"Mario Kart DS is a really fun game for the nintendo DS. I would say it is in the top 5 best games that are made for the nintendo DS. The price seems to be a little high at $34.99 but thats the going price at all stores. Sometimes it is on sale for 5 to 10 dollars cheaper. The game is definitely worth it at either price because it is a classic nintendo game that is brought to the DS. It has improved graphics compared to the N64 version with more characters, games and courses. There is also more challenging things to do and more things to unlock such as characters and different karts for the characters. The game has multiplayer capability where you can challenge friends to play. Overall I think it is a really great game."

"this game is as fun as the previous mario kart games. i have always enjoyed them for their simple play design and quick levels. very handy if you dont have an hour available to play. the levels are varied enough to keep a play through the game from betting boring and there are a few different characters with different stats to choose from. i normally pick Yoshi myself, he seems faster than the rest. the game also supports multiplayer but does lack if you are playing with only one mario cart game (if the other person doesnt have it).
the game is not hard to learn and is fun to play, the power ups and items keep the game interesting until the race is over. very fun addition to the mario kart line."

What's great about it: Multiplayer mode, a bunch of race tracks, challenge modes, unlockable characters & tracks, etc.
What's not so great: multiplayer only allows a few race tracks to be played on unless everyone had the same game
"I would probably say that my 2 favorite types of games are Mario games and car games. This game is like a 2-in-1 for me! It's addicting! You just keep wanting to drive and beat all the other Mario characters. The race tracks are all soooo different from eachother but theyre all soooo much fun!!!! I can play on the challenge mode for hours. I try to beat the last high scores of them all- and there are a BUNCH of different challenge modes!! Multiplayer is really fun, but it's very limited. There are only a few tracks to be chosen from unless everyone connecting has the same game card. Mario Kart is opne of the best games ever!"

What's not so great: After using long enough, it gets too easy
"I love this game, it was my first. I've had it for about 6 months now and I still play it all the time, but it's getting too easy, so after a while it gets boring because you win all the time. On the otherhand it's fun. There's tons of tracks and charactors to choose from. The multiplayer mode works even if the other players don't have the game (which is great) the controls are easy to learn and the tracks are all great."

What's great about it: You can unlock ALOT of things,WI-FI matches
What's not so great: The tracks kinda start getting boring after a while
"I have this game and it is terrific! You can play with up to 4 players on WI-FI and it is pretty good. This is an awesome game but the graphics arnt the best but cmon its DS so there pretty good for DS games. You can play with bunches of characters and unlock more characters too! The game is wicked easy on 50cc but when you get to 150cc and 150cc Mirror...it is crazy hard when you get there, but thats what makes it so much fun. You can play with up to 8 players on DS Download play or watever its called. Over all i love this game and i reccomend it."
