What's great about it: Does not get boaring easily, great graphics
What's not so great: No cons so far
"I got this game about half a year ago, when I first got my Nintendo DS. It is absoloutly great, I am yet to get board with it and I still play it often. It can get frusterating at times when you are trying to unlock something, but worth it when you unlock extra courses. I am still trying to beat my times on the courses, so I am still chalenging myself"

What's great about it: super fun and never gets old.

What's great about it: You can play for a long time, and you can play over and over again.
What's not so great: It costs at bit much for something that's been out for a while...
"Mario Kart is really fun, especially with friends. I think that anyone with a Nintendo DS should own this game. It might get a little boring after you beat some levels, but the game will never run out of things to do."

What's great about it: Mario Cart DS brings a lot of favorite maps from the nintendo 64 mario cart, such as the beach level
What's not so great: Many flaws, when you activate the star you still crash into trees, doesn't last a long as it use to,
"Mario cart DS brings back the same fun as Mario Cart 64, just a lot less, the game could have been better if there had been more characters, and this might just be me but I felt as if the maps were a lot shorter. There's all the same items.
Overall the game is enjoyable."

What's great about it: Everything! Especially the Wi-Fi!
What's not so great: Nothing!
"This is my favorite DS game so far. It has Wi-Fi, it's cool to play with people around the world. It has good graphics, good tracks, good chracters (some you have to unlock). All in all, its a WONDERFUL game. I HIGHLY recommend it."

What's great about it: graphics, gameplay, variety of characters
What's not so great: old courses brought back
"this is a great game. the graphics surpass the nintendo 64. and are slighty less good than the gamecube. but still a good looking game. the gameplay is great. just like the super nintendo button layout this mimics that system in controls. so it will be familiar to use. and the different types of characters you can be is great. there are 9 or 10 different characters you can be.
the thing that I did not like was that around half of the stages are from previous versions of mario kart. so you tend not to get that many new levels here. I recommend this game, it is a good portable game you will enjoy for hours and hours, even though the levels are repeated over and over, just harder versions of it. buy this game, it is fun and not boring either."

What's great about it: Same great Mario Kart gameplay
What's not so great: Not much new to keep it fresh
"I regret this purchase. I know that sounds crazy to say about a Mario Kart game, but it just doesn't offer anything new. I thought it would be great that they stayed true to the N64 version, but after playing it a while, it just doesn't hold my interest anymore. It feels like I've played it all before. There may be some new maps, but they don't seem as inventive as the N64 version's. After spending some time with it, I've decided that I'd rather have a new reinvention of the franchise.
However, if classic N64-era Mario Kart is what you long for, this is a great purchase and it even includes online play."

What's great about it: fun game, lots of fun tracks, wifi enabled
What's not so great: can get hard on 100cc and higher
"This is my favorite game for the DS. And my favorite mario kart game in the series. It has cool tracks, as well as old throwback courses from the SNES game and on. It is the easiest game in the series to control the karts. You do not spin out when you drive on dirt or mud like in the other mario kart games. A drawback is that it is pretty hard on 100cc and higher. and people on-line are crazy good. I played many hours and unlocked everything, and once I played on-line I got smoked by almost every driver. But overall, really fun and addictive game."

What's great about it: Brings back the classic style of Mariokart.
What's not so great: Gets repetitive if you're playing solo.
"Mariokart DS goes back to the control style similar to the original Super Mariokart. There are plenty of brand-new tracks, plus a bunch from previous Mariokart games for all you fans of the classics! In addition to solo grand prix, there are battle games and missions to complete as well. And as with any Mario game, there are plenty of playable characters to choose from, and multiplayer mode is excellent as well. All-in-all, the great game with plenty of challenges to keep you occupied for a good long time."

"This is a great game for the DS. The single player is very fun and you can play online. Online play is very hard but it is still alot of fun. All of the tracks are fun and the powerups are great. It is very fun to play with your friends, and they don't even have to have the game. I would recommend this to anyone who has a DS!"

What's great about it: Big amount of racing courses
What's not so great: difficult to create sparks for speed boost
"This game is very similar to Mario Kart Wii... there is a good choice of characters... although, not many kart choices.
The difficulty makes it challenging compared to other DS games...
Its often hard to manipulate the cross button for a speed boost.
I would definatley suggest buying this game!"

What's great about it: Retro tracks and mission mode
What's not so great: Your hand can get tired after awhile of playing
"Mario Kart DS is a great game. I recommend this to anyone who has a DS and likes any of the Mario Kart games. This game has a lot of different features. There are two sets of tracks, one made specifically for this DS game and one full of retro levels. Each set has 4 races, and each race has 4 tracks, for a total of 32 tracks. The retro tracks are great because there are tracks from all of the previous games from the SNES, GBA, Gamecube, and N64 versions. This is a lot of fun to play some of the old levels you love. There are also some new items and different uses for the ones you had before. The mission mode is fun as well there are at least 6 missions (although more may open up as you play) each mission has 9 levels in it where you do things from going through gates in order to collecting coins, or even breaking boxes. Each one does have a boss battle that you have to complete to go onto the next one as well. You of course have the time trials which you can have ghosts and even share the ghosts with your friends. There is also a battle mode (which I really have not tried yet, but I’m sure it is similar to the previous games battle modes). There is a team mode as well that you can race through as a team of 4 vs. 4. There is a lot of unlockables that open up as you play through certain parts of the game. SO there is a lot of play times."

"this is the best ds game in years, and probably always will be. there multiplayer that you could play with your friends, or online wi-fi so you could paly around the world! there are also some cool missions that take you off the road and are really cool. but also, the grand prix. there are about 32 different tracks, seperated into cups, which are soooo awesome!!!! each one is pretty different with cool obstacles. if anyone even has a ds, this has to be your number one choice. this really, truly is the best ds game ever."
