What's great about it: Powerful hardware, gorgeous screen, Beats Audio is fantastic.
What's not so great: No out of the box memory expansion (it's possible, though), battery life could be better.
This is a gorgeous, powerful phone. Simply put. It looks beautiful, it sounds beautiful, and the quad core processor coupled with the 2 GB of RAM just blasts through whatever you throw it's way.
Games, especially. They look amazing on this. TWC's video app (HD), YouTube (HD), and other video apps like it are just breathtaking on this. That 5" 1080p full HD display is a work of art. Seriously.
The phone's limitations are a pain in the neck. The lack of a SD card slot is a real pain, because you'll fill up the internal memory in the blink of an eye. I know, I did it in less than an hour. (The internal storage capacity is 16 GB, but 5-6 is claimed by Android and HTC Sense.) You can have more storage, though! You need what's known as a USB OTG (On The Go) cable, and a card reader capable of reading a SD card, or even better, a USB flash drive. Plug the drive or card reader/SD card into the OTG cable, plug it into the phone and it'll load on the phone as if it were a SD card. You can even mount and dismount it in the storage settings like old school Gingerbread and Honeycomb based systems allowed you. (I've noticed that a lot of Jellybean devices tend to get away from SD cards. Not all, but some of the major players do as of now.) You'll need to Google USB OTG to find the cable I'm talking about. If you can find one that has a Y cord (two ports, one USB connector), you can have memory AND charge the phone at the same time.
That's the only catch about the OTG...power. Which leads me to the next issue...
The battery, for a phone this size and what's under the hood, does boast a pretty impressive life...if you do nothing but let it sit idle and use it just for calls. If you use the phone for it's intended purpose (Android device), you're going to be tethered to a charger at least once per day. It's ridiculous. If you don't use the included wall charger, it'll take forever on a USB powered trickle charge because the battery is larger than most phones out there right now. Plus the inability to remove the battery is a big let down. Especially when the phone crashes and needs a reboot...
Still, I'm glad I got it and with the OTG cable I obtained, it's like my old phone but with real power and quality. I can't complain too much, I do use it for everything and it's yet to let me down.
P.S. Google will tell you you'll need OTG software and rooting, etc. You don't. The OTG functionality, software included, is already setup on the phone. Just plug it in and go!

What's great about it: love the Beats audio, great screen
very nice phone tith a large screen and Beats audio, love listening to music on it and browsing the web, calls are all clear and with the Verizon service i rarely have any kind of connection issues.

five inch screes is awesome. hate the volume control on the side, always accidentally shutting it off. liked the motorola droid car dock screen much better. although the ibot car dock states always connected, still have to plug in the power to phone each time. cannot find a car dock that stays connected like the Motorola droid car dock.

I bought this phone with great anticipation. Overall, the phone was very good, but I could never get over the battery life issues. I was frustrated enough that I returned it (not normal for me). I would not recommend this phone to anyone that uses it as a smart phone. If you mostly call and keep it in your pocket, great phone. But then again, you should be buying a flip phone.

What's great about it: Display, Responsiveness
What's not so great: Battery can drain slow with heavy screen usage or 4G. Non-expandable storage
I was initially attracted to the phone because of the screen resolution. However, after using it for a while I'm very pleased with the overall responsiveness and capabilities of the phone. The sound quality and camera are good and on par with most smart phones, but I would have liked to see the newer camera in the HTC one in this model as well. I've been surprised that generally I don't notice the phone getting hot despite it's being a quad core. I went with excellent overall because for the price (at least right now at $50) you won't find much better, and even at higher prices still runs neck and neck with most other phones

Phone functioned flawlessly while I had it. Responsive, quick, and great headset audio. Battery never died, but got low mid day as I do a lot of streaming. When not using the headset, the BBD audio is not enabled, and the audio quality goes out the window. Good reception and Vibrant screen.

great value for $50, no regrets!

What's great about it: Only other phone out there besides GS4 with 441 ppi!
What's not so great: no SD/micro SDHC card slot or removable battery-imitating iPhone now
This phone replaced my Sprint HTC Evo LTE, so it was really easy to get used to this phone. A lot of people mentioned Verizon bloatware-remove it and use Google Chrome if you don't like the regular browser! I am used to having an SD card slot, but it was easy to transfer all of my music & pictures to the phone via a USB card reader. Plenty of storage left for me & the 441 pixels per inch screen blows away the iPhone 5 (306 ppi)AND the Samsung GS3 (326 ppi). ONLY THE HTC DROID DNA & THE SAMSUNG GS4 HAVE 441 PPI SCREENS, which translates into the CLEAREST SCREEN images out there right now! Phone fits in any pocket very easily, even with a case on it.

I have no "buyers remorse" with the DNA. I sent my sister and her husband to Best Buy in Nashville and they each bought one. Two more happy customers. It's a great size with an outstanding screen. My battery has gone over a day with business and personal use. There may be better, but the DNA is the best for my use. No regrets after 2 months of use.

What's not so great: first phone had problems with no one able to hear me on phone. had a faulty microphone. replacement phone problems too.
First phone had problems with the microphone reciever was faulty and didn't work. Replacement phone loses connection to network so most days not internet and can't make or recieve phone calls.

What's not so great: A little bigger than I'm used to, but will get used to it.
I was going to buy the Galaxy S4, but when it was delayed coming out, I looked around and talked with the salesperson and found this phone to be my best option. Very happy with it. A huge improvement for me.

What's great about it: Screen clarity, weight, speed
What's not so great: Verizon locking out root access, no installed flash support, no external SD card support
This phone is a very nice upgrade to my original Droid X. It's blazing fast, has a beautiful screen and overall it is well built and light for it's size. However, I feel it is a downgrade in some respects. The lack of HDMI out, a MICRO SD slot, no removable battery and no menu button bother me a bit. The internal storage is honestly not enough. I'm not a music buff but even I've managed to fill up over half of the space available on the internal flash storage. The phone itself is great. I sound clear to others on both private and speaker microphones, the battery life is tolerable lasting me through the day and the screen resolution is fantastic. The built in browser and weather applications are garbage though. Definitely worth the time to go through the settings and remove as much of the bloatware as possible. And there is a lot of it.
You will have to go searching for flash support as well. It's not available on this phone unless you download an archived version of it from Adobe. Why manufacturers seem to think it's no longer used on sites is beyond me.
Overall I'm happy with this thing, but there are some missteps along the way.

Didn't not like it at all and it's battery dies way to quick. When I had notifications the chirp drove me crazy and couldn't figure out how to get it off.

I have owned this phone now for just about a month. I was completely shocked when I discovered that I can go an entire day on a single charge...and I am heavy user. I wasn't expecting that coming off the htc Droid Incredible. Very sharp pictures, love the camera features! Fast speed, and great call quality!
