SynopsisTake up arms and choose to fight for one of three military superpowers, the United States, the Chinese or the newly formed Middle East Coalition. Rise through the ranks and achieve the rank of General through strong leadership skills and success in battle. With realistic weapons, battlefields and destruction, you'll need to learn the difference between concealment and cover to survive these battles. Fight your way to victory in immense, detailed environments, including city streets and remote forests. Each location can grow and shrink in size to accommodate the number of players for an optimum gameplay environment. Decide whether you want to enter the front lines as part of a squad or work behind the lines in Commander mode, directing the strategic assaults of your teammates. Take on the role of a variety of solider classes, including Assault, Sniper, Special Ops, Engineer and more. Head into battle by land, sea or air utilizing tanks, helicopters, hovercraft, fighter jets and more. Transform different vehicles to fit your needs with soldier kits to turn a vehicle into a mobile aid station or a helicopter into a flying ammo dump. I love this game and actually built my pc just for it but the only issue I am having is that the screen shots I see taken is showing great graphics and I have a ballin video card that's HDMI and it look pretty bad but on another pc I used it wes amazing. I run counter strike and it looks better that CODMW2 on my xbox360 so yeah this is an awesome game the multiplayer keeps you coming back for more and it delivers and its a great challenge I have been playing it for many years and still believe that battlefield is the best series and COD is behind in second. add my on Steam RyanRich17 or Xfire russianryanrich. peace

This is a good game, but the single player is very terrible. I don't mind this as the game truly shines in multiplayer. However, you will find it hard to progress in multiplayer as none of you're stats are saved so you cannot get new weapons and will not rank up. The stat system for this game is broken and EA has failed to fix it. Another con would be that loading a game takes awhile.
What's great about it: Cheap, fun online play
What's not so great: EA customer service for the online play is really bad

This was one of my first games i ever had for my cpu, and it didn't dissapoint. i got it from a friend who didn't have internetat his house so it wasnt that cool for him. but when i got online i got addicted to it! sick game. buy it and its only 10 fricken bucks!
What's great about it: omg, this is such an awsome game. the graphics are good, the online is beast, its sick
What's not so great: NADA!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of fun, cant wait to see if the online stuff is like BF1942, I loved that game.

Great game with good price. I have find many different place for a good place and also intend to get it from eBay. Surprisingly bestbuy selling cheaper than anyone else
What's great about it: BB got the best price i can find.
What's not so great: It's old game. not as many people playing MP.

I am a Gulf War Vet, and I really love this game. It gives you the reality of front line combat.

In my opinion, this is the greatest game of all time for this genre. Since BF2 was released, newer games have come out that tout better graphics (and they do have better graphics), but gamers get bored with them within a couple of months and come back to BF2. Old school gamers know that better graphics don't necessarily mean a better game. Playability and fun factor are just as, if not more, important. Case and point...The Nintendo Wii. Its consistantly spanked PS3 and X-Box 360 in sales, yet most of the games are simple in nature and don't have "explosive" graphics.
But back to this game, I've been playing since 2006 when I made the jump from Battlefield 1942 (another fun game) and I was immediately hooked. Unfortuantely, I haven't gotten that same feeling with a lot of releases since BF2. Battlefield 2142 fizzled quick, and I have a feeling BFBC2 will be similar.
Buy this game! Only warning is to newer players...You may get discouraged at first playing against veteran players who will most likely make life hell for you while you learn the ropes. Stick with it, and if possible, team up with some better players who will show you some tricks and tactics. Have fun gaming and see you on the field.
What's great about it: Graphics, playability, teamwork based, vehicles, communication, addicting
What's not so great: BF2 is notorious for lack of good hit registry (shooting an opponent and only getting a small dust cloud)

Only Unfortunate thing is eventually it will phase out since it's inception in 2004/2005. Bad Company 2, It's newest version plays more like a console came like cod4. Love the interaction with worldwide players in the multiplayer format. You can play on servers with max of 64 players. Is awesome.
What's great about it: Best first person multiplayer game I've ever played on pc
What's not so great: Newer versions aren't getting great reviews.(.BC2)

I expected this game to be like a older call of duty or medal of honor but it is not like that but still is sweet. It is very similar to starwars battlefront lot of fun
What's great about it: Price, Online and A lot more
What's not so great: menu confusing and hard to create online account

when i got the game, i was very excited, i watched trailers for this game, game play videos, and i thought i was a awesome game, till i received it in the mail... i attempted to install it and right when it got very close to the end the install wizard or what ever you call it, crashed on me, i recommend it for people how have a good video card, i don't have a great video card so that's why it probably didn't install....... but for people who don't have good video cards do not get this game, or any high quality game....
What's great about it: awesome game
What's not so great: wouldn't install to my computer

I love this game, Ive been playing it since 2005 believe it or not. Right now Im playing it maxed out, and ya the graphics look a little dated but none the less they look fine by my standards. Its sooo fun make sure you download the new 1.5 patch and you get a ton of new maps and booster packs free. If you find a good server you have absoultely NO lag and you can favorite that server so you can go back and play it every time.
Im playing it on windows 7 professional 64-bit with no problems.
and to the guy below me with problems on Punkbuster. You need to RIGHT CLICK the battefield 2 shortcut and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. No problems after that

This is the most fun FPS's ever. WHY?! because there are planes, choppers, and tanks. not solely Shooting guns.
The game is for online play only. Offline is lame, and it's not even fun. Problem is now, this game is several years old, and no one is paying the dough for dedicated servers.
If you buy this game, you HAVE to get a flight joystick. I suggest the Logitech Pro3D. $35 bucks, and it's all you need. I spent a good part of 500 hours addicted to this game. 2 people can get in the attack chopper. one pilot, one gunner, and fly TV wired missles into tanks while RAILING on helpless newbs below with a rail gun. f15 planes can have 2 pilots. The Migs and j10's offer plane vs. plane dogfights. C4 explosives can be placed on buggies and you can jump out of the car and explode things as the buggy still continues to move. (little bit unrealistic, but so much FUN!!)
This game is basically as much as a number 4 at McDonald's upsize to large with an extra Milk shake. 10 bucks... Even if there are 5 servers still available it's worth it. Menus are a little hard to navigate at first and sometimes the servers don't show up properly. Even still, it's the best FPS ever. EVER! Bad Company 2 comes out in March. I have it on pre-order. Battlefield 2 for the longest time was the most played game by X-Fire users next to World of Warcraft.
What's great about it: Online Play...amazing Dedicated servers, no lag
What's not so great: Offline Play...there's not really one. Dedicated Servers...game's outdated, not a lot of people paying for servers

This is still one of the best games ever. Its gives you lots of freedom and its lots of fun. You can fly planes and helicopters, drive cars and tanks, even boats. At first, you can only play with others who has the same version. You can update it but you have to download to updates. The first is about 500mbs and the second is 1.94 Gbs. but overall the game is great.
What's great about it: Graphics and Game Play, Great Multiplayer
What's not so great: Large Updates

I bought this while waiting to hear back from EA Tech support about BF:1942, and was disappointed that it is mainly an online game. I prefer single player campaign style games, and figured it would be similiar to BF:1942. Wrong! If you like to play online, it's a good deal. Not sure how many still play it, but go for it. Just watch out, I haven't had any problems running this game, but EA Tech support sucks.
What's great about it: Graphics; realism
What's not so great: Mainly for online play; single player mode not a campaign and it constantly gives you tips.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Graphics are amazing DICE did really good on that. Once you slip it into your computer it's the best . The game is mostly based on multiplayer online play with up to 64 players can battle it out as China,american and MEC. the weapons are awesome and the classes are very well balanced. The ranking system is really good. you can unlock different weapon kits for each class. The best thing for me though is the vehicles. Driving a tank and blowing the heck out of things is really fun. you can be jets too and shoot missles at things. or you could just get a go kart and run over people. The only bad things about this game is that the server is not that good and the game can lag at sometimes. The single player is horrible so that takes a little of the lasting part but multiplayer makes this game the best and I can't wait for battlefield 3 coming next year ( I think) and the new battlefield 1943 coming in september.
What's great about it: The Graphics are amazing
What's not so great: bad single player

This is a very good FPS. Its not like some games, it feels like its real war. Multplayer is the best part of the game, but playing it alone is a awesome too. The only bad part is to play online you have to download a patch that take 1 1/2 hour to download. But thats not all that much so I would say go for it.
Note: By this Battlefield 2. Its $10 you can't beat that. But the complete collection of Battlefield 2 is $30, is hard to set up, and if you mess up you have to contact EA to fix it. Also there really not that much added to it.
What's great about it: Fun Multplayer, Great price, Fun Singler player
What's not so great: Downloading Patches

It is a sin that this game is now only $10. With that price, you cannot go wrong. When this game came out, there was no other game like it, and it sill proves to be just that. The online multiplayer delivers an experience like no other, and the game offers great versatility. With tanks, boats, planes, cars, artillery, etc this game has endless possibilities. Awesome game, and once again, for the price you cannot go wrong with it. If your looking for an extremely fun on-line multi-player experience, Battlefield 2 is the way to go.
What's great about it: Extremely unique gameplay
What's not so great: No campaign

You will love the in depth action with this game. It quickly draws you in and emerges you to an environment. You feel as you're really in a battle atmosphere. The online play is awesome. My nephew couldn't put it down. Pretty up all night playing this game.
