Nice remote - lacks quality 03/05/2009

What's great about it: Ability to control everything
What's not so great: Quality of product

"I had this remote for a little over a year and the hard buttons on the side stopped working and battery life appears to be getting shorter. This will control everything and does a good job of that but save your money it defianlty lacks quality.

Contacted maker of remote for service but costs $400 minimum for them to look at it. If you do buy this remote but the best buy protection plan to protect yourself against the poor quality of the product."

What's great about it: a lot better having one than five
What's not so great: you have to find a place to put the bulky thing

"its a lot nicer to have ONE remote that can do it all, than to have FIVE to control each thing.all of the people that come over to my home theatre are amazed, and i usually dont let them use/touch my remote. i love it, and the touch screen is a plus!!! i love hown it can turn down my lights so i dont have to get up and do it. and my old remote you had to like jam down on the buttons to get them work, now that i have a thouch screen, it doesnt have to be jammed on. my home theatre is HUUUUUUUGE and this can do the job from anywhere in the room. and i have this light room behind all the seats in the back that controls the lights and sometimes music. now it doesnt get used much now that i have this remote that is SO much easier to use."

What's great about it: Does a lot more that I expect a remote to do.

"I am a Remote control freak. I have played with many remotes and nothing can compare with this one. It controls everything so I could get rid of my 4 remotes that I have to operate my systems. Not only does it just control my TV, cable, and Home Theater system it controls my lights too. That is what I've wanted and I found something that will do it."

Easy as starting your car 09/09/2007

"The Magnolia team came and installed my whole system. They programmed the MX3000 to operate my indoor and outdoor speakers, and control the lighting in my theater. They also programmed it so my favorite channels have their own icons. The remote replaced SEVEN remotes I would have needed and now my wife and kids can use and enjoy our TV and speakers. Also the touch screen lcd is fun to show off to my friends."
