Worst Washer Ever

What's great about it: None
What's not so great: Unreliable and doesn't clean well
"This may be the worst washer ever. It behaves strangely - long delays before it will start. Sometimes it refuses to unlock the door. Even when you are careful to not overload it, the clothes dont come out smelling clean. Towels especially. In short, it s$%ks. I cant wait to replace it, but the choices in units this size are very limited."

What's great about it: not one
What's not so great: everything
"We like many purchased this do to small space issues. We looked at many and this seemed like our only choice. We first had our dryer replaced now our washer is next . Dryer just never worked , washer made loud noises and I have more water on floor then in washer. To many repair calls to count !!"

What's great about it: NONE
"Don't buy this piece of junk! I bought the washer and dryer 2 years ago. Both have turned out to be terrible - They had to deliver 3 washers before one worked properly. It worked for a short time and then the problems started. I am now junking both the washer and dryer and buying new ones - but not Whirlpool brand after this mess... don't buy this - you'll regret it."

What's great about it: It washes clothes...sometimes
What's not so great: Only works when it wants to....
"This washer has a mind of its own...sometimes it just doesn't work. It just sits there and makes a noise like it's about to wash, but it doesn't. Randomly it starts working again. I wouldn't care if I had bought it used, but I bought it new and has had these issues from the beginning, although they seem to be worse after 2.5 years. Buy a different washer."

What's great about it: energy efficient; uses little water;
What's not so great: difficult to use and not effective
"I purchased this machine 2 years ago. This is the first front loading machine I have owned. I bought this model primarily because of space contraints in my condo. The controls are not very intuitive; I had to actually make a chart so I would know what the water temp is for each cycle. The door usually has to be closed twice (slammed twice) to engage the start button. It does not clean the clothes very well. It is loud. I would not buy this again and am already looking for a replacement;"

"We bought the washer/dryer combo in order to do laundry upstairs, out of the basement. This machine has been a complete nightmare. It has a mind of its own, only filling and starting after much cajoling - extremely tempramental. It is defeinitely not a machine you can just turn on and leave because it may not start. The cycles run too long and are too loud. I regret the day we bought the thing."

What's great about it: Quiet. Features are amazing.
What's not so great: None
"We searched for a long time for a stackable washer and dryer for our condo. Our last stop was Best Buy ... we wish it had been our First, we would have saved a lot of gas money.
The product was what we needed, there was no delivery, set-up or take away fee = this saved us a ton of money = bought them on the spot. Very happy!!!"

Big Disappointment

"This washer was a serious disappointment. It is compact, and you do use very little detergent and water, but these benefits are totally outweighed by the significant problems. You can't use bleach or brighteners or anything like that (not even natural alternatives - we ruined several loads' worth of clothes and sheets using bleach alternatives). There is no way to get whites actually white, and clothes seem to pill much faster than they should. The high efficiency aspect of this machine seems to involve using so little water and detergent that the clothes don't actually get clean. I have only had this washer for 2 years and I am going to replace it as soon as I can with a real one."

What's not so great: Don't forget the HE detergent!
