What's great about it: Good signal, easy setup
What's not so great: None.
"This wireless router also doubles as a wired router with a 4 port switch on the back. I have it wired to my desktop and connected wirelessly to my laptop that I keep across the house. The signal is great and the setup was a breeze. All the necessities of a wireless router at a fraction of the price!"

What's great about it: quick, easy setup
What's not so great: none so far
"setup was a snap, I have a cpu running XP, two running Vista, and a network printer. I just hooked them all up according to instructions, no problems connecting with any of them. I was able to setup a private, secure wireless network in about 10 min."

This router sucks

What's great about it: price, easy set up
What's not so great: disconnects all the time
"I have an acer laptop and comcast as my provider. My laptop always picks up my Belkin network with full bars, but it always defaults to a linksys network. It connects for awhile and then suddenly disconnects and then takes forever to connect to the network again. It also never connects when I first turn my laptop on. However, when I am at my boyfriend's place with his linksys router, I connect right away with no problems and my laptop connects to it as soon as I turn it on. (He also has comcast.) So I think all the problems associated with my connection has to do with the Belkin router.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ROUTER, BUY A LINKSYS!"

What's great about it: easy set up
What's not so great: disconnects and reconnects all the time
"It was okay at first, until I realized that when I am having a conversation on AIM or Yahoo it disconnects me or the instant messages that the other person is sending me are delayed by atlesat 2 minutes and come all at once, or I don't get them at all. I wouldnt recommed buying this router to anyone, its a waste of forty dollars, might as well spend the extra 10 to get a better one."

"I had this router for about a month now. I have two computers feeding off the signal. It works great! The tech support was fantastic when installing the system (as opposed to other routers that I have bought). The distance is okay.
Buy it! It is definately worth the money."

What's great about it: Easy to use standard wireless router
What's not so great: Loses Computer Connectivity Frequently
"When the router works, it is great. It has a pretty big tendency to not connect to your computer when turning the computer on. The router can be seen by your computer but won't connect. Using the router with a stored network key. Not sure if that helps with the problem or not."

"My friend called me tonight and asked me if I'd help him with the purchase of a wireless router. Which brought me to the best buy site. Since he didn't want to spend much money I decided to see if they still had the model I purchased about 1 1/2 yrs ago. And here it was, still at the same $39 I paid. I was so surprized at the first few reviews I read here. Maybe the computer, modem, service these people are using is the porblem because mine works great, super fast, no lost connection, nothing...we use 2 laptops off of it. So I highly recommend it!"

Great but drops comcast frequently

What's great about it: small, easy to setup, works
What's not so great: no reset button, drops comcast VOIP modem too often
"I bought this as my first router when I signed up for SBC-Yahoo DSL, and it worked without any glitches for about a year. At the most, every 3-6 months I had to reset the modem.
I switched to comcast's triple play offer which comes with a telephony modem. The connection started to drop often, which required power-cycling the router by unplugging it in the back and waiting about 3 minutes. This is ok perhaps once a week (the most it goes without dropping is about 2 weeks), but some days it dropped the connection constantly (>5 times) which is annoying. Today, after 2 years of 24/7 work, it died.
Researching for another makes me believe I was lucky to have such reliability. The switch to comcast is certainly to blame for any issues I had with this router, but I'm actually going to throw some dice and buy me something else from Belkin."

What's not so great: Everything runs slow and incomplete
"Do not waste your money on this junk. Everything runs super slow. When you finally get a page that is marked done...you have a blank page. Pushing the refresh button several times sometimes gets you the page that you wanted. Usually just bumps you off of the internet.
If I could have rated this a ZERO I would. Oh yeah,
I am 2 feet away from the router!!!!!!"

"I had the hundred dollar routers before like the Linksys and Netgear. This product is the same as those but cheaper. It works like them and it does a really good job. Don't hesitate to buy this one, it's really good. Trust me. After I bought, I went straight home to hook it up. It just took me about 15 minutes to install and after that it worked fine. Never had a problem with it. Oh, just don't forget to set up a password."

"I bought this because it was inexpensive a few days ago but i'm returning it tomorrow. It's a piece of garbage. The set up was fairly easy in my opinion but it would constantly lose connection and I had to run diagnostics all the time with no results. Don't waste your money."

"well i am new to the whole paying for internet deal and to be quite honest this is in the budget and it gets the job done... i have yet to configure the printer so more than one person in the house can use it but it does what its meant to do go on the internet... well worth the buy!"

What's great about it: Setup is painless, works great most of the time, small and unobtrusive
What's not so great: Occasionally drops signal
"This is a decent router. It was very easy to setup and sticks away quite nicely behind my TV. Works flawlessly most of the time. The only issue is it drops signal about once a week. A simple powercycle fixes this. While this might be a major issue with the hardcore PC crowd, it is only a minor annoyance to me. A great buy for the money."

What's not so great: set up was little confusing to set up wep vs password vs hex
"Overall the product performs great. Setting up the Wep code was strange because it ONLY asked for hex. In order to synch with other devices I had to go back in several times to overwrite hex codes.
All else was pretty straight forward"

What's not so great: No connection and have to run diagnostics all the time
"Bought this because of the price. Took it home and connected it and it worked immediately. Closed the laptop and came back later, waited on it to connect, no luck. Ran all the diagnostics, no luck. Finally after 20 min it just worked after repairing connection 6 times. I have to do this every time I start up the laptop. Not worth the money, buy a netgear or linksys."

What's great about it: Range is just big enough
What's not so great: Occasional, 1-2 times/month, restarts required
"I bought one almost a year ago and I have done loads with it. The signal reaches across my backyard with only minimal dropout, and that's with my laptop from 2002 on an after market card. The range is enough to cover my needs and not extend beyond my property. This is a real plus if you're worried about people jumping on your wireless.
Configuring the router is a breeze, if you know what your looking for.
Every once in a while I have to restart the router for some reason or another. But it immediately picks up and goes on like nothing was wrong. Just like if you don't reboot your computer after several weeks. IT HAPPENS.
All in all, a great buy. I'm planning on buying a second one to boost the signal in the far corners, just for the grins. Just shut off the broadcast feature and rename the SSID and that'll keep the baddies away."
