Cleaned up some pretty damaged discs

What's great about it: Took out some nasty scratches
What's not so great: Supposed to be good for only about 30 discs
This took some nasty scratches and skips out of my discs. I hope it lasts longer than the projected 30 discs it's supposed to fix. (That's about a buck a disc to fix). I'll keep using it until it dies.

What's great about it: fast, easy, works great
What's not so great: only fixes 25 discs before you have to replace the wheel...
My kids had abused a couple of Wii discs and some DVDs when I stumbled on this. Purchased it based on the reviews not really having high hopes but figuring if it saved just one Wii disc I'd have my money's worth. Well I'll be! This thing saved every disc I tried - even a BADLY abused DVD. That one took about 4 tries, but it was eventually fixed! What a GREAT product!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: It was a little more money than I expected.
My 8 year old son had a friend sleep over and they knocked the X-Box over a few times and caused the game disk to become off-center which created a perfect circle groove in the disk. I was told that scratches that deep are not repairable. We gave the DVDDoctor a shot and although we had to run each disk through about 10 times, it worked. Make sure the disk stays wet and rinse the DVDDoctor in warm water when you start to seee the white build-up from the DVD "sanding" process.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: Made the dvd worse
I tried the product because of all the great reviews. I followed the instructions in the box and made the disc worse. The dvd was skipping before and then became unreadable after using the product. I would not recommend it.

As much as I wanted it to, this product did not work for me. The DVD I was interested in does not have deep scratches, but this product did not help the playability of the DVD.

What's great about it: Works well, easy to use, good value
It's always nice when you find a product that actually does what it says it will do. Our neighbor had a CD of mp3 song files, but our computer could only download about half of them (130 of 240) as the CD was dirty and badly scratched. After using the DVDDoctor on the CD our computer was able to download all of the songs. Very glad I bought this product!

What's not so great: becareful to follow directions or it may harm disc.
very simple you put it in the designated location turn the handle away from you (if you turn the handle the other way the disc will flop out) let it spin a full cycle around the disc take it out and it's ready to play... the best scratch remover I have used so far!

What's not so great: The cleaning of CDs and DVDs could be better.
I bought the DVD Dr with the hope that it would correct a problem that I have with my new Sony DVD player which is so sensitive that any defect in the disc can cause the image to fad to a monochrome. The DVD DR does the job sort of but not perfect.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: I HAD A DATA CD THAT WAS DAMAGED IN A COMPUTER AND THIS FIXED IT
MY COMPUTER AT WORK DAMAGED THE DATA CD AND I REALLY NEEDED TO GET IT FIXED BOUGHT THE DVD DR AND IT WORKED GREAT TOOK A FEW TIMES RUNNING IT THROUGH BUT I FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK AND THEN MADE A COPY.
YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PRODUCT 5 STAR RATING ALL THE WAY

Got this for my 11 year old son because he was always complaining about his games freezing or skipping since Christmas I have heard no more complaing of games or movies not working and he has even fixed his cousins games need to find more of the solution though he is almost out and then I will have to here about that but this does actually work.

What's great about it: Easy to use, quite effective
What's not so great: Costs more than I think it should
Save your extra $10-15 that you were going to spend on the battery-operated version. This one cleaned up the scratches on my toddlers DVD's. Note: sometimes it takes as many as 3 runs through it to get the job done and all the scratches don't disappear. Bottom line though is the DVD's that used skip or stop altogether now run like new. Takes minimal strength to crank the wheel.

This little thing fixed all the nasty scratches on two of my Xbox dvd's, even the deep ones. All you need to do is read the instructions and ad bit of elbow grease (2 minutes or so) and presto! Great Product!!!

What this says "this can repair cds and dvds" its wrong to me it should say "add it repairs dvds,blu-ray disks and cds".Blu-ray disk is based on on the shapes of cd and dvds.Also you should buy this object because u can repair the cds,blue-rays disks& dvds as long you want to repair them.On digital innovations Auto Max can repair the disks in 1 min or 2 min,the Auto Max repairs those disks (approx.) very slow.The warreny is great on this repair system and the price for this object too.

This is a inexspensive, manual device that actually works. The instruction is so simply that my 6 year old son actually restored his favorite xbox 360 game

WOW this thing works! Xbox 360 caused some circular scratches in the disc. The dvdDr restored the game and saved my son 40.00 dollors. We thought we have to buy a new game.
