What's great about it: Black Sleek, Quiet for the first few months
"This thing was unfortuntely a lemon. We haven't had much luck with our LG products. The dishwasher was serviced several times within 1.5yr and finally repair person decided its a lemon. If you buy this...... buy a extended warranty as it will fall apart pretty quick."

What's great about it: HOLDS ALOT OF DISHES
What's not so great: BOTTOM RACK AND WHEELS FALL OFF
"ITS AN OK PRODUCT. IF YOU WANT YOUR DISHES TO BE DRY YOU HAVE TO PUT JET DRY IN IT. OTHERWISE, THEY WILL BE SOAKED. NO MATTER HOW LONG THEY SIT. YOU HAVE TO LOAD THE DISHES JUST RIGHT FOR IT TO BE ABLE TO GET ALL THE SOAP OUT OF THE DOOR COMPARTMENT. IF YOU PULL THE RACK OUT TO FAST IT WONT GO BACK IN EASILY AND THE WHEELS FALL OFF. TO THE POSITIVE SIDE, IT IS SUPER QUIET. YOU CAN FIT QUITE A FEW DISHES IN IT."

Avoid this dishwasher

What's great about it: Looks nice and drowns out other background noise
What's not so great: Does not wash and does not dry
"The bottom rack doesn't roll properly, dishes don't come out clean and everything comes out dripping wet. This dishwasher is a lot noiser than expected. We've owned this for a week and hope we can give it back!"

Disappointed

What's great about it: Quiet machine
What's not so great: dishes never quite clean or dry
"I have been very pleased with most of our LG appliances. This dishwasher was a disappointment however. Our dishes never seemed to get clean even on the higher power settings. The dishes were never dry. Our dishwasher lasted just over 2 years. It then started leaking water."

Minor Reservation

What's great about it: Quiet and cleans dishes exceptionally
What's not so great: dishes never fully dry
"I purchased this product in August. I actually love it. I had more problems with the installation. I have one reservation, and that is my dishes never come out fully dry, even after letting them sit a few hours. I always seem to have puddles on glasses, cups and anything that may have a lip on it. It is the quietest machine, and my dishes are spotless. I love the options it offers. Would I buy it again, absolutely !"

very happy

"We love this dishwasher! It is extremely quiet and, if I run the 15 min rinse cyle after loading the dirty dishes, I don't have to wash the dishes before loading - even if they're going to sit for a day or so before running a full cycle. I have not had trouble with the bottom rack like the two previous reviewers, but I do find that because our dishes have a "lip," I have to load them into every other space or the water can't get between them. Then, I'm left with 1/2 as much space as I expected from this product. After having this dishwasher for about a month, I'm still having trouble figuring out how to load it efficiently. It appears that there should be 3 rows of dishes on the bottom rack (e.g. dinner dishes, salad dishes, and bowls), but I can't get everything to fit. I'm also having a hard time figuring out how to fit in larger items like serving bowls, but I expect that will improve with time and experimentation."

awesome, with one reservation

"This IS the QUIETEST dishwasher, EVER! It cleans dishes well and is extremely quiet. If it weren't for the sound from the sink of water draining, we wouldn't even know it was on! My only reservation is expressed by the first reviewer: the bottom drawer does occasionally get stuck going back in, and as a result, sometimes slides off the track. Yes, it's something we don't like, but we know it can happen, and if we move the drawer SLOWLY, it doesn't happen too often. With all the good this dishwasher has going for it, this one setback isn't stopping us from buying more LG products in the future. We love this dishwasher!"

Horribly designed dishwasher
08/15/2007
By Blackrock

"We bought this dishwasher in January, 2007.
The good: None
The bad: The motor is so close to the floor you only get a very narrow, tiny channel to get your water supply installed. Control button design is such that if you lean against the front you can accidentally turn off the washer. You then have to start over - no resume feature. The rack tines are so close together that when you put your dishes in the water spray can't get between them and so you have to wash your dishes before you wash them. The upper rack is so badly designed that glasses routinely fall over unless you've packed them tightly. And the absolute worst part: The weatherstripping around the tub is so poorly designed that the dish tray wheels routinely bump into it. This bends the stripping out until ultimately you can no longer get the tray in. Then you have to beat the metal strip down with a hammer. Hit the strip enough times with the dish rack wheels and you'll enventually break the spot welds that attached the strip to the tub. Oh, and the wheels are always being knocked off the rack when they hit the sides. If they don't fall off, the rack simply falls off the poorly designed door rails. It's so much fun trying to move a rack with 50 pounds of dishes.
While I am only reviewing this model, all LG dishwashers have these same design flaws.
I could go on, but you get the idea. Avoid LG dishwashers at all cost."
