What's great about it: Super easy to install, looks great, quiet, good price
What's not so great: control panel is cheaply made
After replacing all the other appliances in our kitchen, my husband and I decided that our outdated range hood needed to go and we wanted something that would match the rest of our kitchen, but we didn't want to spend a lot of money. The Broan Allure was the perfect combo of power, features, and look for us. I was able to use my Reward Zone points from our other purchases to get $50 off the range hood which made the price that much more appealing. Installation was easy and it went right into the space of our old hood without a fight. It's quiet but clears the smoke, the lights are bright, and it looks good. The only thing I don't like about this hood is the control panel. It looks like I could just peel it right off, and I'm not talking about the protective film either. I don't expect the control patter to last forever, which is a shame; the range hood we replaced definitely lasted longer than this one will. That said, we knew that this hood would be a temporary visual solution as we're probably going to remodel the kitchen in a few years anyway and will most likely move our range and will need an island hood at that point. I would recommend this hood for light use only. If you're looking for a quick face lift as I was, this is your hood; if you're looking for a deal on a last you a life-time hood, this probably won't be it.
