This is a great system. Liked it for a while now. Had to replace my old on. It wouldn't read disks anymore. It could have been the fact i threw it in my suitcase when i traveled for work. Definitely worth the price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love it. It's the right size 4 how much space I have. I hope the PS3 could one day match it's size with more memory.

What's great about it: Great System for a great price. Plays PS1 games aswell.
What's not so great: They should of put a cooling fan in it.
I first bought the PS2 Slim back in 2004. I played a lot of GTA San Andreas I admit but I never played it for a long period of time in one sitting. After about 2 years of having it, I was playing a CD in it. It was left on and something happened to it. It could read PS1 games but not PS2 games. Dont know what happened. After learning recently their going to quit making PS2's in about a year I purchased another one so I would be able to play PS1 and PS2 games since the PS3 isnt backwards compatable. For $99.00 bucks you cant beat it. PS2 games are cheap aswell and are still a lot of fun. I bought the GTA Trilogy box set with it (It came with: GTA 3, GTA Vice City, & San Andreas) and with tax it only came to about $134.00. I just hope this one lasts, I may even buy a couple of back ups just to have them around.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: KiND OF SMALL
QUiETER THAN ORiGiNAL PS2. EASY TO STORE. THE ONLY BAD THiNG iS THAT iT'S REALLY SMALL SO iT MiGHT BE EASY TO BREAK.

What's great about it: i got this console when it first came out and still works without any problems
What's not so great: no reason for any
If you want a gaming system that practically lasts forever and still has great games then get it if you want to be the opposit then i dont know what to say about that overall this a great deal especially with the new price

What's great about it: It runs great , fast loading,and quiet.
What's not so great: have found no problems
Yaaay ! We are able to play our games again , watch dvrs on, or even listen to cd music ! A great lil compact at a fraction of it's original cost !

What's great about it: Easy to ret up All ready configured for Component cables
What's not so great: Glitch in start up program
Bought a PS2, because of Sony killing backwards compatibility on the PS3.
The PS2 was easy to setup, normally the ps2 is set to use RGB cable and would have to set up component in the system settings. This model of the PS2 came with component( component cable sold separately ) and progressive scan on.
The only con of this model is when you turn it on and the Sony logo comes on the screen, the screen goes black, then distorts, then clears up.
Other then that no issues and PS2 and PS games play flawlessly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: great games available that are cheap
What's not so great: new good games like GTA 4 dont come out for ps2 anymore
its actually more durable than the big original ps2, u could play for hours even though it doesnt have a fan like the big one. there have been days when i play at night and fall asleep without turning it off. i wake up in the morning press the start button and it still plays. it has never froze on me.
best bang for your buck. theres a bunch of games for the ps2 out there. and it plays dvs and cds what more do u want.
they still come out with some new games for the ps2 like nba 2k10
i love my playstation!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: It doesn't come with any games.
It was easy to set up, but the product itself is very delicate, and will definitely burn out within a year or two.

This was an upgrade to replace our older, larger version of the Playstation 2. When we found out the latest version of the PS3 does not play the PS2 games, we immediately ordered a new PS2 so we could enjoy our PS2 games for a long time.

What's great about it: CAME WITH NO POWER BRICK!!! (didn't need it),Price, How small it is
What's not so great: NONE
This is a GREAT console. it doesn't look like the one in the picture above, its a little more glossy black on the left side but looks better than the on in the picture above. (also have a picture of it to the right) The only 2 reasons I have gotten this console is because 1. PS3 doesn't have backwards compatibility and 2. my REALLY OLD PS2 finally died and i still like the PS2 games.
Have added pictures to the right of what the PS2 actually looked like and the size of it compared to a regular 40GB Playstation 3
I would recommend this to a friend!

It was quite easy to order on line then pick it up at the store! Given that no stores in our area had the Playstation 2, the fact I could find it online saved a disappointment on Christmas morning!
