What's great about it: Stunning graphics, intense gameplay
What's not so great: Short campain, Don't like the controls
"This is one intense game! The graphics are absolutely amazing. I was on the edge of my seat through the whole game. Not a bad storyline. The campain was however, pretty short. That is not surprising though. I also did not love how the controls are set up. I wasn't crazy about the x-box live playability of it either. Over all a very fun game! Would recommend!"

What's great about it: Killer graphics, single player as good as multi-player
What's not so great: Campaigns a little short
"The graphics on this are killer! Great action, weapons, scenes, communication. Multi player adds a whole new dimension. It sucks you in and next thing you know 5 hours have passed.. Highly recommended"

What's great about it: Combat, Weapons, Complete Multiplayer Co-Op Campaign
What's not so great: Storyline is rather short, but most shooters are.
"Lives up to the hype about the game. I played it when it first came out and beat the game with a friend on Co-Op mode in an afternoon. I recently went through the campaign mode again by myself and it was a fun replay. My only gripeis that as is usual with shooters the campaign was pretty short."

Great SciFi FPS!

What's great about it: Game play stays fresh and exciting.
What's not so great: Not anything worth mentioning.
"For the longest time I had no interest in playing this game. Never mind it is one of the highest rated games available for the Xbox 360. I mean don't get me wrong, I love first person shooters, but I am not really in to the whole sci fi thing. While I finally got my hands on the game about a week ago, and I will admit that I was pleasantly surprised. I understand why it received such high marks. It has solid game play that manages to through in just enough as the game progresses to keep the game play fresh and exciting. The weapons are fun to use and don't feel like they are all the same under the surface. The controls are also surprisingly easy. The multiplayer seems to be fun as well. I would recommend trying this game out even if you are not a fan of the sci fi genre, you might be pleasantly surprised!"

What's great about it: multiplayer, campain, co-op, graphics.
What's not so great: multiplayer host and getting stuck in cover.
"Gears of War has truly set the bar for the next generation gaming. Gears has a simple yet fantastic multiplayer experience. What is so interesting about the multiplayer is how easy and fast the tide of the battle can change. With the right timing and skill, one person can win the round. The next round, it may take the entire team acting as one to even survive for 60 seconds. The easiest way to win is to comunicate with your team. This comunication opens new socail experiences and even new friends. A downside to multiplayer is the host. The host has no lag what so ever and could dominate the other lagged-out players. The host is never indestructable, so dont be intimadated. It is also possible, if you press the A botton too many times to get stuck in cover or not able to reload. Including the solid campain story, Gears of War is a must have to any gamer."

What's great about it: Awesome graphics, easy to use controls
What's not so great: only one campaign at a time
"GOW is by far one of the best games ever made, the visuals are stunning and the sound effects are crisp and everywhere. The story is solid and the difficulty levels can get insane! Even though this game came out a year before Halo 3 and COD4 it still can hold it's own on every level. This is a game every fps player should have. The only downside is that you can only have one campaign going at a time or you'll overwrite the previous one."

The First Great Game of the Next Gen

What's great about it: Top notch graphics, great gameplay
What's not so great: Short campaign
"This game is the first great game of the new generation of video games. This game came around 1year before Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Grand Theft Auto 4 and Bioshock and can still be compared to them. The quality of this game islike no other and you can tell how long it took to make it. The sound and graphics are the best ever on the Xbox 360. Halo 3, COD4, GTA4 and Bioshock can't compare to them in graphics and sound. The online play is above average but it is okay."

What's great about it: Very good gameplay, good online multiplayer, can play with another person on same x-box
What's not so great: no jump, finding and playing ranked matches can take a long time
"This is probably the best game that i have ever played over all. It's my favorite game on the X-box 360 and my most played. I've put in hundreds of hours on this game and still am not bored. Although ranked matches can take time to complete, player matches can be made and started immedietly and they just keep going through the chosen maps, so it can go very quickly. Also, choosing which maps to automatically play through, and chosing which weapons go where can make the game very very fun. Once again, BEST GAME I HAVE BOUGHT."

"This is one of the best third person shooters I have played in a while. The cover system feels like your playing paintball as you hide behind any object in the area to avoid getting shot. "not a game for the kids but i play it one of the best games i ever played and i loved it. i couldnt really say anything bad about it just a excellent game and the game creators brought a new type of game play to us. i would have to say THIS GAME ROCKS and it is very challenging but i played it at a friends house and loved it ever since one of the best ga,es i ever played and irst ga,e i had or my 360 hope you enjoy. 5 out of 5"

"This game has a solid storyline, that draws in the player. Online play is also fantastic, giving a variety of game types and maps to play. The controls are easily picked up and copy most other shooters, making new players, pros in no time. Its great gameplay does not mean that it lacks in graphics either. I really enjoy the game visual appearence and rendering of both setting and characters. I would recomend this game to anyone who enjoys a game full of action and in depth play."
