What's great about it: Great concept!
What's not so great: Some glitches
"Dont get me wrong this game is good, but a few glitches in the online play. That is seriously what Halo is about the online play. The campaign is too easy and everything like that. So I like playing online with a bunch of my friends and getting a whole team."

What's great about it: forge
What's not so great: boring story mode
"I must admit I did like it when i first bought it but after 3 weeks I got bored. multiplayer was fun but ranks were impossible and having to waste a whole clip to kill a dude sucks. there was nothing interesting in the story except the co-op. the cortana level is the one thing i think people might agree with me when i say it is the worst level in gaming history. the vehicles in the are cool like the warthog and hornet. the forge and achievments are the ONLY reason i ever play this game."

What's great about it: Outstanding single player followed by an unforgetable multyplayer
What's not so great: Not really anything to complain about
"Hey, I would like to start this review of by saying this game is incriedable and unique in many ways. And if you are one of the very few who have never heard of the Halo series, its about an epic battle between two factions, the Covenant (an alien race), and the UNSC (a human race). You play as Spartan-117 (the Master Chief), the last of the UNSC's legendary SPARTAN 2 Military Program (A program that greated a line of biologically augmented super-soldier's) . The Covenant have been trying to fire all of the halo rings witch by doing so they think will send themselves to a world of harmony. But however, that is not the case. As the UNSC knows by firing the halo rings a parasite known as the infamous Flood is unleashed, the flood unleashes a horrible wrath of death to whomever it consumes. and the bodies that are consumed comeback as monsterious puppets that help due the Floods evil bidding. So you as Master Chief must stop the Covenant from firing of the halo rings.
Now down to the the good stuff the gamplay. The gameplay is superior to many of its predecessor's with an epic singleplayer that is really truley addicting and thrives you to keep going until you now how it ends (I promise not to give away any spoliers). Know if your looking for multiplayer this game delivers. With many different game modes to choose from including Co-op, Team "slayer" (team deathmatch) MLG (major league gaming) and many more. And if you ever get bored just drag your friends to "forge" (a truley unique levely designer), or too theater were you and your friends can view a recording of your previous matches and take pictures of your favourite kills or record video of best matches and then go online and share them with all your other friends.
So basically I fully reccommend this game to anyone who enjoys videogames, or even someone whos just starting out. So if for some reason if you don't have it go get it and enjoy."

"Hi i think is the best game produced by XBox and especial the 360 the third title in the Halo Series and concludes the Story Arc that began in Halo Combat Evolved and continue in Halo 2. I recommended this first-person shooter video game one exclusively for the XBox 360.

What's great about it: Versatile gameplay, both in the campaign and in XBOX Live. There is always room for growth and experience to gain.
What's not so great: It leaves you wanting a Halo 4...
"Awesome game. There's a reason why the Halo franchise put the XBOX on the map. It's the reason why I own an XBOX 360. The campaign was fun and challenging and never a straightforward, predictable FPS. There are a variety of weapons and items that require skill and experience to master. Great game..."

What's great about it: awesome game on all accounts
What's not so great: could probably be beaten in 10-15 hrs
"Awesome game, recommended for anyone who likes FPS (first person shooter) games. Great storyline as well, successfully and creatively finishes the trilogy. Can't really say anything bad about the game, except an ace at FPS could probably finish it on normal difficulty in 10-15 hrs (legendary is much more challenging, which makes it a longer game)"

What's great about it: Wonderful online multiplayer, and single player campaigns.
What's not so great: The online multiplayer system is a little slow for loading.
"This game is the last of the trilogy (Sadly) but bungie promised the halo theme is not going to be put to rest. Next on the halo list is "Halo Wars" a R.T.S (Real Time Strategy)."

What's great about it: Biggest Online Shooter Community
What's not so great: Campaign is boring, not very many new weapons.
"Fans of Halo will love this game. Especially the online side of the game. Personally I find the presentation of the game to be almost cartoonish, nothing seems very lifelike. You would thing something like the Flood would look really gross and rather scary, but with the colors and character mapping used they look rather lame. The weapons are almost all the same as the previous games, and are pretty boring.
If you are looking for a fun first person shooter look into: F.E.A.R. or F.E.A.R. Files (my personaly favorites), Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, or the new Battlefield: Bad Company."

What's great about it: Great game, good story and campaign mode, great online

"I play halo 3 almost everyday. I have beaten the story mode on legendary (hardest difficulty) and i have played over 1000 games online. the graphics are amazing and the online program matches you up with people who have the same skill in the game. I would highly recommend this game to people who have xbox360 and love video games/ shooter games."

What's not so great: major lag in online matches depending on the people.
"I highly recomend this game.The campaign mode can be played solo or with a friend.I have played the campaign many times and will a lot more times.Its great to play with a friend.If you get this game i highly recomend xbox live.It has amazingly fun online gameplay and always has new DLC maps that are also really fun.The only problem is that when youre online there may be lag depending on the people your playing with.If this happens just go to the settings and select best connection instead of quikest.Dont worry it wont take to much longer than quikest.Then there is also a way you can tamper with maps and make new ones with thousands of weapons items and vehicles in forge mode on any multiplayer map.There is also a way you can change your look with unlockable armour and even change the colors of the armour.If you have liked other Halo games you will love this one and if you have never played any Halo games but like shooters you will love this game."

What's not so great: need a hard drive to do anything.
"halo 3 is the best halo game by far! new weapons! maps! and more. It has an option called theatre where you can watch previously played games! and forge where you can make your own changes to a halo 3 map. you can make your own spartan or elite. unlock new armor! and if you get all the achivements you can get a katana which is a sword that goes on the back of your spartan! this game is a must have for the 360!!!!"
