What's great about it: Amazing multiplayer for a bit
What's not so great: NO storyline creativity
"First of all the storyline sucked. It seemed that some of these level were actually from halo 1. The storyline was simply uninteresting and repetitive. The multiplayer and forge really sells it. With forge you could to everything from races to soccer to jumping 200 feet high with shotguns. and the normal online play was great. although after a while you realized that the whole game revolved around running up to someone jamming the trigger than hitting them. i.e. no SKILL AT ALL. Oh and the best multiplayer option ever to be created in a videome was put in.

What's great about it: graphics, custom games, forging maps
What's not so great: short story, story too easy
"I liked story mode, but after playing matchmaking, it gets really boring. matchmaking was fun for a month, then I said forget halo, and got Gears of War, and Call of Duty 4."

What's great about it: It's the final installment in the Halo trilogy!!!
What's not so great: It's the FINAL installment in the Halo trilogy...
"The story is finally complete. Halo 3 delivers an excellent game with great graphics, a good story, and fun game play. It also has a great multiplayer with lots of different maps and game modes. I gave it a four star rating because I do not think it lived up to all of its hype, but that doesn't stop it from being one of the best games of '07. Well worth the money spent on it because it has a good multiplayer that gives it a lot of replay value. This game does a good job of filling in what has been going on in the series so far. So whether you are a fan of the series or someone who is playing a Halo game for the first time, you won't feel lost as to what is going on in the game. It is obviously recommended for any fan of the series, but I would recommend it to anyone who has not played a Halo game before because in-and-of-itself, it is a great game."

What's great about it: Great graphics, fast paced, lots of action!
What's not so great: Too short and too easy!
"I am kinda' upset. I LOVE Halo but this one was SO much shorter than the other ones!! We beat it in under 8 hours. It was really easy! You can't duel wield needle guns anymore (for those who care), so they suck now. The ending REALLY lacked a "WOW" factor for being the end of the trilogy. I expected so much more and was seriously disappointed. The game was fun and really full of action but there was only 10 levels. Yes... 10, that's it! I would recommend buying it because... well because you have to but, see if you can't get it at a cheaper price! $60 for under 8 hours of game play is a bit steep! Good luck!"

What's great about it: Great Multiplayer, Improved graphics, more equipment, Improved Campaign
What's not so great: Storyline can seem a bit disjointed
"For those that liked or loved Halo 1 and/or Halo 2, you will love this game. It is the same basic gameplay, but much more fun in so many different ways. There are a slew of new weapons, and an entirely new array of equipments (such as bubble shields, grav lifts, etc.). The online gameplay is just as addictive and fun as with Halo 2, if not better. The single player campaign is improved as well, including a second character (The Arbiter) throughout the game, allowing seamless transition into co-op. Plus, the graphics are better, so what's not to like? The storyline is the only thing that is a bit difficult to follow for those who don't know much about the first two Halos, but then again, that's kinda what one would expect.
Overall, this game is amazing and an absolute "must buy" for anyone who owns a 360."

What's great about it: GRAPHICS/NEW WEAPONS
What's not so great: DUAL-WEILDING/CHARACTER CHANGES
"I would have to say it's the best Halo yet! The only things I don't like are the changes to character appearences and voices. (First time you won't be able to recognize Grunt or Elite voices.) But the worst thing is the dual-weilding =(. The dual-weildable restrictions on guns (plasma rifles, etc.)
The #1 change is the new and improved weapons (plasma rife is significantly changed.) The graphics are also just plain outstanding. I definatley recommend Halo 3 to anyone who loves Halo. (the changes may be slightly dissapointing.)"
