"Love the weapons, graphics, vehicles, campaign and online play. You just have some problems online like redbaring, lagging out, your internet isn't compatable with some one else's, or the game restarts finding you players online."

What's great about it: Amazing graphics; new guns, maps. Forge and Theater are fantastic additions. What's not so great: VERY glitchy, some similar map variations, basically same old Halo.
"If you liked H2, you will certainly enjoy the upgrade to 360, mostly because of the graphics. Gameplay is very much the same, except for the switching of reload from X to RB. Same old point-and-shoot until they're dead stuff. Online is very glitchy, and one person's lag brings down the connection for everyone. Some of the maps are clearly variations of H2 maps, which is not a big deal considering the glitches and linear gameplay. On the other hand, the positives of this game strongly outweigh the negatives. The graphics are stunning in 1080p, and the sound follows with the visual appearance. The addition of new guns such as the gravity hammer and Spartan Laser adds a whole new level to the game. Now for the two best additions: Forge and Theater. The Forge is an amazing tool for anyone who was used to the lack of editing power in console games. It lets you take a pre-made map and edit all of the items (weapons, vehicles, etc.). You can even edit a map while your friends are running around killing each other on it. The Theater is just as awesome, allowing you to watch a real-time film of any of your most recent matches. You can even take high-resolution screenshots and video clips of your best kills. Overall, it is a very impressive performance once again by Bungie. The only thing is: you have seen most of this before. This is why the game has gotten old, at least for myself, within the first couple of months since release. If you are saving up for just one premier shooter this fall/winter, I would suggest looking to Call of Duty 4 because of the innovation and replay value that you cannot find in Halo 3."

"A solid game and basically the reason that I purchased the 360. I enjoyed the original Halo for my old XBOX, and decided to give Halo 3 a try because of all the hype and talk. Solid campaign mode and the online is very deep and varied. Many different online game modes that include solo, team, and two on two fighting. Great graphics and the sound (on surround sound) is also quite good. When you purchase a 360 make this either the first or second game you purchase."

"Halo 3 has it all. Co-op campaign, single player campaign, Forge, split screen even in online ranked games, death matches, and videos.
Single player comes back with avengeance. Play on the hardest difficulty and you will have a nice challenge. It is a little short with only 9 chapters, but very fun and worth playing. You can set up co-op with up to 4 people (including yourself) which makes it a lot easier, (and you still get the achievements) but still pretty rough on the hardest difficulty. There is a video mode where you can actually play back what has happened in the games (even in campaign, which is a good way to look for the hidden skulls), pause, change angles and explore with the free roam camera. Forge is a way to set up your own maps. You can not create the terrain, but you can move objects, flags, spawn points, territories, whatever your fancy is. You can even play a game while creating things at the same time. It is a lot of fun to do.
Finally we come to what everyone wants to do. Death match! Online vs. games are a lot of fun. It is set up like Halo 2 where you play against people with the same (or similar) skill levels. You can play ranked games in parties and if you have too large of a party you can set up a social game. This is all a lot of fun to play around with.
Achievements for this game are decently well done. You will be playing most of the aspects of the game for awhile in order to get them all. The point arrangement could have been a little better in my opinion, but not detrimental at all.
Get this game if you like Halo, first person shooters, or fun!"

"Although the game play was very much like Halo 2 there are a few key changes and the storyline is more compelling. The changes are a few different weapons, four grenades instead of two, sniper rifle and battle rifle are harder to use(which may sound like a bad thing but it's not), and equipment (bubble shield, trip mine, anti shield generator, etc.). The differences don't seem to change the game all that much. Bungie definitely used the motto 'if it ain't broken why fix it' so if you liked Halo 2 then you're bound to like Halo 3."

"Ive been playing this game for about 3 days. I like it and it is so addicting. But it is just like the other 2 halos. ther us nothing special about this game. I guess it has a good sotry line but i dont even like the new levels they made. The old levels were twice as good as these. This game is very over rated. Ide saw the only cool part is the custom game thingy. I gues the new weapons are cool but still could hav been carryed out a little more. I was expecting a lot more out of this game. Sorry guys im sure there is ganna be a lot of people disagreeing with me but i am just saying what is true."

"let me first say this is a great game and a nice sequel to halo 2. if you're familiar with the storyline and you're looking for conclusion here you'll be ... somewhat satsified. as for gameplay and graphics, that's another matter.
the gameplay is standard halo fare, you have a few new weapons and vehicles, as well as a few new abilities as well. the chief can now rip turrets off of their mounts making mobile destruction via turret possible. you can also deploy equipment now, such as shields, grav lifts, flares, auto turrets, mines, etc. shields can be helpful in a pinch, but most of the other goodies aren't that impressive.
halo 3 still suffers from some of the flaws of the previous entries in the series. mainly repetitive level design in campaign and goofy, yet omniscient, enemies. on the easier levels enemies often know where you are without having to resort to seeing or hearing you, this is lame. on legendary enemies always know where you are, even without having seen you, and "harder difficulty" just means more of them.
graphically the game looks like halo 2 with a better framerate. get up close to any textured object and the ugliness quickly reveals itself. when we have games that look as good as gears, and now the much cooler call of duty 4, this game just doesn't hold up. it's definitely a step up from halo 2, but it's a short step.
final thoughts: if you're a halo fan then you've probably already bought this and are deeply in love with it. if you're not, then sadly halo 3 doesn't have the power to make you a believer. the single player campaign offers a modest amount of fun, particularly if you're taking on legendary with some buddies online, but if you didn't care for halo before not enough has changed to make you love it now.
bottom line: a decent game with many rough edges, but if you love halo then you'll certainly be loving this."

"Ok i'm not a Halo fanboy so i can give you a objective review. This game was over hyped to many people fell into that hype. I have played the first two, and the third one was nothing realy all that new. The camp was fun to play threw alone and with three other freinds that is right you can play with three other freinds. THe camp was a bit bland tho you just walk around then shoot stuff then walk around some more get into some vehicles and shoot some more. This was not the best way to rap up this story. I wanted more then just walk and shoot. the online game play is the same as always you have to deal with a bunch of winey jerks almost makes it unbarebale at time. Stil fun to be able to make you r own maps some what. I wish that they would ahve done more with that. they only thing that you can do is change weapons and vehicle. You can not move and of the structures. That was a bit of a disapointment. This game was great the play threw I find my slef not playing it any more, and i ahve moves on to othe games, and revisting other ones. If you like the first two you will like this one. Great game just not all that it lives up to hype wise"

"Well, how can you go wrong here? Halo's single player co-op was one of the MANY reasons I bought H3. This game blew me away! Also, saving clips and screen shots and then sharing them with other friends was just amazing. Forge was insane too, I had been looking forward to that in the longest while. I was not disappointed. Must have for any previous Halo players or any regular FPS fan."

"I really enjoyed this game. Nothing is lacking in storyline here, and I left with a satisfied feeling. Every aspect of this game is incredible! As always with the Halo franchise, the multiplayer is great and the levels are fun and creative. I would like to note the addition of forge mode, where the player is able to alter a multiplayer level to their liking. My only con is that the game seems to be short on the easier difficulties, with some levels being noticeably easier than others. Have a great time with this!"

"Although I am a Playstation 3 fanatic, I must say that Halo 3 was outstanding. I am disappointed that Bungie/ Microsoft won't allow it to go multi-platform but whatever. Any way, this game has many new features including: better vehicles, gravity hammer, spartan laser, amazing maps, and all of the bonuses of Halo and Halo 2. I would recommend this game to everyone. Young people, old people and Wii people. This game is amazing and everything abkout it is fun, except the single player (but who gets halo for the single player anyway). In other words, If your looking for the BEST multiplayer game out on the market for a console get Halo 3. But if your looking for a great single player game with pretty good online play on the consoles get Resistance Fall of Man. But if you are a PC gamer get Counter Strike Source, that has the best online play of any game on any platform of all time. But as for Halo3, it is currently the best console multiplayer game on the market and is definatly worth the money."

What's great about it: Campaign, Endless hours on Xbox Live, Staying up all night getting achievements.... I could go on forever What's not so great: Ending was good, but not good enough.
"Best game out there. You will have so much fun with this game. Playing with all your friends on Xbox Live, Pwning Noobs, and getting the achievements. You want a game that when you get good no one could stop you? Well, this is it. Making your own games in forge, playing custom games, and then matchmaking to earn your ranking to be the best. Campaign is awesome and not too long where you would get bored with it. Get this game, it won't let you down. Oh.. I also reccomend Gears of War thats another amazing game."
