"The game is awesome. I would say halo 3 is the best of all of all three halo's. Live mode is sweet blowing up other people in the world. The graphics on halo 3 is the best of all the games i have played. This game by its self wants tons of people buying a xbox 360 along with the game. A great buy"

What's great about it: ITS HALO
What's not so great: Campaign not that well written
"This game is great...the multiplayer is amazing, everything from the ranking system to the maps, the forge, everything is perfectly blended to make for a great multiplayer experience that will not get old for a long time and playable over and over. However the single player aspect this game lacks...pick up Cod 4 or Gears of War for a great campaign mode. The graphics are amazing the sound quality is also very good, playable characters now include the arbiter...worth it right there..., and the AI isn't stupid and can be very deadly very fast...legendary. If you are going to play the campaign i recomend to get some friends...3 for the best experience...that means you'll of course have to have the 4 controllers that can expensive. Overall this is a great game that could get game of the year but is lacking a little if you don't have it yet get it...it makes Xbox what it is."

What's great about it: GRAPHICS,MULITIPLAYER ONLINE,STORYLINE.
"IF YOU DONT ALREADY OWN THIS GAME AND HAVE NEVER PLAYED IT OR ARE DEBATING ON GETTING IT, DONT WAIT ANYLONGER, GO BUY IT. YOU WONT REGRET IT. THE GRAPHICS ARE AWESOME, BETTER THAN PART 1 AND 2. AND THE ONLINE EXPERIENCE IS CRAZY. What's great about it: Holy wow. Where to start... Forge, Multi-player. Fun for hour upon hour.
What's not so great: Lags. Just a bit though! Not enough to take away from gaming experience.
"Wow. Fun multi-player. Awsome online. Great things like Forge where you customize maps. Thousdands of things ONLINE and many, many maps. Theater mode, wow. So many things to do, you'll be having fun for eternity, if not longer. If you don't have this game, GET IT. If you have it, you agree right?"

What's great about it: Great graphics, online matchmaking is awsome, wapon selection.
What's not so great: rare glitches, campaing is too shor and easy

Meant for online play, very so so campaign play

What's great about it: Online multi-player option is exceptional. Incredibly fun when playing ONLINE
What's not so great: Graphics are so so, solo campaign feature is SHORT
"This game was meant for online play - and that's it. If you played the campaign solo feature of this game - it's very short and customized to make any newbie to the Halo genre comfortable. The over-marketing and over-hype of this game put my expectations up too high. For a FPS game, it's very so so and unless you play online against other players - this game is very bland. So if you don't intend to take advantage of Xbox Live Gold (they give you a free trial card) - then I suggest another FPS. The so-called "gore and violence" is toned down "Star Wars style" and I think the rating of "M" is slightly over-exaggerated. Other than that, I was really disappointed with this game due to the over-hype and over-marketing."

Overrated but good casual fun

What's great about it: Fast paced, matchmaking system, theater, large teams
What's not so great: Bugs, Weapons are imbalanced, limited movement, few maps
"The game is casual and here is why: 1) You can only move in a single speed making it easy to lead and kill people. Not to mention that you cannot take cover or roll and dodge. Your character and other characters do not make noise when they run despite being in full armor and carrying clanky weapons. This makes no sense and removes any need for stealth. Any serious game should have noise be a factor. 2) The weapons are terribly designed. The sniper gets 4 shots before you get out of the scope meaning you don't have to be that good to kill with it. Not to mention besides the power weapons most other weapons take a long time to kill a person. Yet the power weapons just take one hit to kill, maybe two. This means that someone with a normal weapon vs. a power weapon will have no chance at all and encourages spawn killing as newly spawned players start with nothing more than an assault rifle that takes a full clip to kill someone with. 3) Luck of whether or not people spawn behind you determines a lot of battles rather than skill with the weapons and evasion.

It is pretty easy to pick up and play so it is very casual gamer friendly. The matching system will place you with people of the same skill level as well, so you don't get destroyed as that would be no fun. The ability to play ranked with your friends is a great touch and so is the theater. Being able to share clips with your friends is very cool. While the teams can be large there are very few maps to play. There are maybe 3 or 4 per game type and with the randomness I usually get the same 2 over and over. I got bored of Halo pretty fast because the same maps have the same tired strategy and it felt too repetitive.

What's great about it: almost perfect
What's not so great: can't choose what game type or map on live
"This game is just amazing, I used to be a sony person for a very long time, but i had an x-box and the day i got halo 2 it was amazing and i new i had to buy a 360 jut for halo3 it is just amazing. I don't even touch my ps2 now so i highly recomment this game, even if your a sony person"

"Pretty good game, but BS and GOW are better. Also, the game has an annoying habit of losing your "saved" data. I think that Bungi has lost its edge."

What's great about it: Great story mode, fun online, nice graphics, sound and controls are great
What's not so great: story mode is short, whioe the graphics are good they are not as good as the xbox is meant to handle
"I wanna start off by saying this is a great purchase for halo fans and noobs alike. Halo is truley a sight to see in HD. The stroy mode is engaging and fun. Although its short it is fun all the way through. The multiplayer is insanely fun. There are a bunch of different play types. You have the normal capture the flag and slayer/team slayer, but what is really fun is the new addition, forge. With forge you are able to manipulate the world and its surroundings, making for fun multiplayer matches or cool machinima short movies. The sound quality and system performance is great. No glitches hiccups; runs really smooth. Now the graphics are truley next gen, but games gears of war have top notch detailed environments and character models. Bungie missed a huge oppertunity to impress with character animation. The pros deffinitley outway the cons. This is a must have for all 360 owners."

"After the letdown of Halo 2 i was hoping that Bungie would redeem themselves with the final installment of the Halo series...and man did they. This is by far the greatest of the 3 Halo's, it brings great graphics and legendary gameplay to the table. Definatly a must-buy for all Xbox 360 owners. Hoping to take it online soon."

What's not so great: I haven't thought of one yet.
"If you liked Halo 2, then hold on tight because Halo 3 totally surpasses its previous versions by a longshot. I use to own Halo 2, but I wasn't real impressed, but with new maps, and new weapons, Halo 3 brings a whole new element to the game. I'm addicted to it now, Halo 3 moves so much smoother. Play it on Xbox Live to see how fast you can move up to ladder."
