A great end to the series

What's great about it: Excellent graphics, good campaign, and amazing multiplayer.
What's not so great: None really, overall improvement on Halo 2.
"For all that were worried about Halo 3 not living up to their expectations, worry no more. Halo 3 has built upon what Halo 2 was and made it better ten fold. The single player game is engrossing, yet some may say too short on the easier difficulty levels. The story is well told, but could be explained a little better, everything can be figured out just by paying close attention though, so no worries there. The game itself has many new weapons and as far as multiplayer goes many new things have been incorporated. There are a few of the old maps from Halo 2 which have been given a graphical overhaul and some of the layout has been changed. The new maps are well designed and will be sure to keep players finding new things well after the game was originally purchased. The new ranking systems for multiplayer are very easy to understand and the in-game menus are user friendly. The glitches that existed in Halo 2 have been eliminated and overall Bungie has created the perfect game to end the series."

What's great about it: Great visuals. Highly anticipated.
What's not so great: Gears of War online is more fun.
"I'm not a dedicated Halo fan so my review is probably a bit skewed. Looks great, seems alright. Not as fun in multiplayer mode as Gears of War."

Almost Disappointing

What's great about it: They Changed the Multiplayer Maps
What's not so great: They Really didn't update the graphics.
"The only reason to buy this game is for the online multi-player. The campaign itself took only 9 hours to beat on Heroic and I explored a lot. They fixed some of the Halo 2 bugs but the graphics only saw a minimal upgrade. The online play is the saving grace."

What's great about it: Online gaming!
What's not so great: short story line
"This maybe the best Halo yet. I normally like the games for the online gaming and playing with friends. This game brings so much to the online scene with new weapons and new maps.
With new features and styles of gaming, Halo 3 brings an all new meaning to online gaming. Play in teams or on your own against the rest of the planet as the better you play the better you are ranked.
Customizing your player above and behind the normal. Express yourself differently than the next guy.
I recommend this game for those who like online battle scenario games."

What's great about it: Halo 3 is the definative XBOX360 next-gen shooter. The campaign, multiplayer, forge, offer hundreds of hours of fun.
What's not so great: May be hard to jump into mutiplayer if your not an experienced halo player.
"Halo 3 is the next best game to hit XBOX 360. Hundreds of hours of playtime are offered for only 60$. People will be playing this over XBOX Live for years to come because of the exceptional features bungie has provided. Halo 3 is the best FPS to date."

The Right Stuff

What's great about it: Uses a very wide variety of new guns and equipment that helps launch this game from its predisesors
What's not so great: With all the detail in every enviornment in the game there is a chance of getting confusued as to where to go next.
"This game takes the Halo series to a new level of game play. I've been able to follow the trilogy since it was first released and I have been starving for more and more. This game has the graphics and game play that you would expect for a next generation game, and has a large amount of downloadable content for those online fans. I have yet to really explore the multiplayer realm of this game but from what I have seen there are some crazy maps to play, all of which look beautiful and are large enough to hold up to 32 players without it feeling too cramped. This is truly the best of all the Halo games and I would suggest buying it right away if you haven’t already. (For those who don’t have a 360 the Halo 360 looks pretty sweet and it’s the same price as a regular 360!!)"

What's great about it: This game has, hands down, the best graphics ever. The online play is addicting. Make sure to get Xbox live with it.
What's not so great: I have yet to find any flaws, and I have beaten the game twice

"A very good game on xbox 360. It's awesome on xbox live. I'd say the only bad thing in this game is in campaign, the marines, the bots or w/e, can't drive for beans. You'll be in front of them a lot. Otherwise this game is very good. If you have an xbox 360 you should deff. get this game."

What's great about it: Great multiplayer, cool armors
What's not so great: Short Campaign
"For those who love first person shooters, nothing will beat Halo 3 on the xbox 360. It still retained the things that made it great (to the point that there would be a few times you think you are playing the original or Halo 2 game) but when you jump on a new vehicle, playing a new game type or wielding a new weapon and seeing other players in different cool armors, that's when you will realize that you are playing the best game for the xbox 360."

"The graphics are very nice and the new features are cool. However, the campaign mode if very short and online matchmaking takes forever (Bungie claims they are aware of this problem and are trying to fix it) For all the time spent by Bungie and all the hype it got pre-release, it could have been better, but the game is well worth the money for Halo fans."

What's great about it: Multiplayer won't get old for awhile. Maybe years.
What's not so great: You'll have to stop playing to go to work.
"This game was a great buy. You'll be able to play it for months without getting sick of seeing it. Every online game is different. The graphics aren't the best on xbox but for all that was packed onto one disc it is quite impressive."

"This game lives up to the hype. This installment definitely steps up the bar of first shooter next gen games. The Campaign mode is more than enough to keep you comin' back for more. Legendary mode too hard? Team up with 3 other friends on Xbox live and let the frenzy begin. You can also keep meta scoring on the campaign to see whos got the most points and who steals all the kills. The online play is almost another game. Be prepared to spend countless hours on slayer, capture the flag, king of the hill, and many other custom games. And with the ranking system you always know where you stand. You can also access your player profile online and see how many games you've played. You can also view all of your stats. But that's not all! The theater allows you to view and save any game you've played. You can watch from any player or from any view. You can save video clips or pics and post them to your profile. Got an amazing headshot? Know everyone can see it! Bottom line, buy Halo 3. This game will sell the 360 this year."
