What's great about it: online gaming
What's not so great: single player is a bit boring
"This game is probably one of the most exciting games that I've ever played. This online experience is unmatchable. With new enemies every time, you can't get bored. The weapons are excellent, the graphics are excellent, the online experience as a whole is excellent. This game is the one game that I keep going back to, aside from a few childhood favorites. If you're looking for a game with phenominal multiplayer action, this is the game for you. Best game released on this game console by far."

What's great about it: xbox live
What's not so great: game play
"the game play is really bad with only 9 levels and which are easy to bat in hardest mode possible. but live play is the best and is better if you got friends. there are a few problems with live though like when people leave no one can replace them. but our then that it is a good game."

What's great about it: Endless playability

"Awesome game. After Halo 2 I thought the series was dying...I was so dissapointed with that game...then came this. Halo 3 is ridiculously addictive, especially on Live (I've missed work because of it). The only bad thing is I can't beat the thing on Legendary..."

What's great about it: Overall great game fun for player of all ages.
What's not so great: Multiplayer mode can cause uses to experience slow game play or lag.
"Halo 3 is a great game. It combines the beauty of Halo 1 with the online multiplayer madness of Halo 2. The graphics are insane, and it is without a doubt one of the most highly played game on Xbox Live. However a Gold Xbox Live membership is required for online gameplay, the online fun is well worth the 5 or 6 dollars a month."

"Bungie wraps up Halo in a great way with a clear plot. Graphics and sound are a 6 out of 5. HDTV and 5.1 or 7.1 are needed. Soundtrack is the best yet. What's great about it: New custom game modes in matchmaking
"I played H3 for a good amount of time when it first came out, but it has been sitting on my shelf for the last 6 months. However, they've added some new custom game variants to the matchmaking playlist and added achievements to them as well (if you like that kind of thing).
My personal favorite new game type is called "Grifball" (if you've seen Red vs Blue you'll see the association). Basically, it is a 4v4 match that has everyone running around with gravity hammers and swords, it's an assault mission so you win by taking the bomb that starts in the middle of the field and planting it in your opponent's base. It has a very football like feel to it, because you and your teamates have to block for your bomb carrier until they can find a seam to run it in for the score.
Like I said, I hadn't played H3 in months, but this weekend alone I just logged probably 15 hours.
It's also rekindled my desire to also play some of the other custom game variants like "Infection" and "Rocket Race". There's nothing like a good zombie game type to get hyped."
