What's great about it: Good graphics and very fun.
What's not so great: Could be a little harder.
"I thought this game was a lot more fun and exciting than Halo 2 because it has a lot more features and is a lot more interesting because of that. I liked how you can detach the turrets and I liked the gravity hammer. I did not like that it was not as challenging as I thought it would be."

What's not so great: Campaign
"I can't wait to play online with the ranking +matchmaking updates, but sadly i cant. this is a great game online, even though matchmaking gets stale eventually, but custom games are fun."

What's great about it: everything minus the campaign
What's not so great: campaign
"good game if you are plying with your friends online or even linked up.
Bad, Bad, and i mean BAD campaign. i was very dissapointed with the ending and the story in general.
Bungie's new rank system came out today (9/23/08), it was the Title Uptade. there are new achievments and medals, but it seems the te rank system is actually worse than the last one."

What's great about it: everything
What's not so great: story mode a little short
"i've played all the halo games so when i picked this one up i thought its gonna be fun. I start playing it and major upgrade from everything that was wrong with the others. New armor can be unlocked as you go through game. Everything in this game is great. This is a must have if u are a fan of shooters."

What's great about it: Finishes Halo trilogy, amazing multiplayer, cool weapons
What's not so great: Nothing really new over past games
"If you like FPS games, this is a no brainer. If you like Halo, this is a no brainer. If you want an amazing story, inventive weapons and innovative gameplay... this game is pretty good. But online is where this game really shines as an example of what to do. If you don't like playing online, you'll still enjoy the campain mode, but you probably won't hold onto this title."

What's great about it: co-op on/offline. 16 player online games. good graphics, tons of fun.
What's not so great: none
"This is my favorite game at the moment. I was debating on getting this or Call of Duty 4. But when i found out that you can only play co-op online and not offline with Call of Duty 4, that's what made me decide to get Halo 3 instead. I later rented Call of Duty 4, but i got bored, and ended up wasting my money on that rental. Halo 3 has tons of featured game modes like capture the flag, rocket race, infection, oddball, bomb assault, team doubles, big team, head to head, 4 vs 4, co-op campaign. You can also customize levels and game types. It's the best game in my opinion."

"This really is a good game. It combines great online mulitplayer with online and split screen coop. The graphics look pretty good, but I expected better from Bungie. The story seems a little lacking throughout the game (almost like they didn't have a full story but they had to make a full game). Overall I give Halo 3 a B."

What's not so great: not quite as long lasting as COD4
"This game is one that every serious gamer needs to own and perfect his/her skills at. I have yet to find another game that plays better at lan parties with friends. The online ranking system, while not as good as COD4's in my opinion, is one of the best out there. One can even play co-op online now. The achievements are difficult enough to as to not make the game seem boring, although the skulls are one of those ones that I wish they would just leave out of games. The graphics are great, the appeal still remains for a long time, and it's one of those games you'll pull back out someday and enjoy playing during some summer you have nothing better to do."

"just like all those b4 it. this is a great game. the AI is more interactive. in other words. the same tricks dont work throu out the game. the online run is fun. you can eather go in match makeing or run the story with 3 of your other buddies. halo is its own world. it has a fallowing like no other game out there!!!!"
