What's great about it: Styling, handle remains cool, large inside space
What's not so great: Cheap quality knobs, poor quality timer, slow to toast
We received this as a wedding present, so we can't complain on the price. We too experienced problems with this model once the warranty expired. The timer knob broke and the cost of replacement part is half the price of a new oven. We had to use pliers to set the timer, but now the timer itself doesnt work anymore. It's slow to heat. The bump out in the back is nice for pizza, but we don't ever need that much space so from a practical sense it is too big. Looks real nice, but quality is lacking.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Looks great
What's not so great: slow too toast, timer gets stuck and closing door takes two hands
What a piece of junk. I can't believe how bad a product this is for an upscale name like DeLonghi. It does look great and is a nice size but everything else about it is garbage. The rack gets stuck when the door is open. What fun pushing it back in when it's still hot. The timer occasionally got stuck leading to burnt food. The toaster function is extremely slow. After 16 months it just totally stopped working. I had contacted customer service when it was still under warranty and they told me to send it in for repair. Are they kidding? An $80 item would absolutely be cheaper for them to just send me a new one. They are counting on that very few people will actually bring it in for repair.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Nice appearance and large capacity
What's not so great: No convection feature, toasting time is long.
I think this toaster oven is too much money for what you're getting. The timer broke right after the 1 year warranty period and now the only way to turn it off is by unplugging it. Also the plastic "chrome" knob has stripped. I would have expected more for the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: It looks good and the door handle stays cool.
What's not so great: It is very slow to toast
For the price its not great. The styling and finish are good but it is very slow to toast. The timer stopped after less than a year. For the price, it should be better. Of course toaster ovens don't last very long anyway.
