Perfect sound and fit

What's great about it: I barely feel them in my ears. Strong sound with great bass.
What's not so great: Like any earphones of this type, they tangle easy.
"I don't go jogging, I sit at a desk all day. So there's no problem with them staying in my ears. When I went to Best Buy to buy these I knew I wanted to get the best I could for the lowest price. Meaning I wanted to spend as little as possible while making sure they were comfortable and sounded good. I was tired of garbage earphones. The minute I walked out of the store I plugged these into my ipod and I remember the feeling I had when I heard the music... it was loud, a lot of bass and I swear I could feel the music, literally, I could feel it in me.
I have been using these earphones for about a year now and I am going to buy another set for my wife."

Comfortable, not bad sound

What's great about it: Good price point, sound is above average
What's not so great: Will blow your ears up if you aren't careful
"Use these headphone with my PC at work. Music plays quite well, despite being a little light on the lower bass end for my liking. Wouldn't consider it a deal breaker on these headphones however. What I do miss, is an in-line volume control. If I'm playing my music and I get an IM coming in a full-volume, my ears nearly come off my head. Took some tuning on my pc to get that all managed.
Overall, at this price point, maybe the the Skullcandy buds sound a little better, but probably not much. I'm rather picky about being able to pick up low end bass, but wasn't expecting sub 20hz ability from a $25 set of headphones, and they deliever as expected there. It's not my Klipsch speakers, no doubt, but for general purpose, use at work headphones, they've fulfilled my requirements well."

What's great about it: the sound is good
What's not so great: the headphones
"the right cord is three times longer than the left one. The plastic ear piece rips and falls off easily and the headphones will not fit into your ear without the plastic ear piece. i would not recommend these even if they were one doller. the sound is good but every thing else didn't work."

What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: Tangle Easily
"Philips did very well with these headphones. The headphones have great bass. These headphones are designed to be light weight. The only downfall is that they tangle so easy. However, most headphones of this kind do this. I would recommend these for sure."

Best ear phones ever!

What's great about it: Sound, Quality, Design
What's not so great: Ear piece end VERY easy to lose.
"I LOVE these earphones! I have had them for two years, and am very happy with them. They sound great, and is really like you have surround sound in your head. The end pieces are very easy to lose, and I have not been able to find replacement ends, so I am going to buy another pair of these earphones. Besides that NOTHING is wrong with them in any way. If there is a complaint other than that, people just don't take care of them, or use them properly."

What's great about it: Philips is a great brand
What's not so great: They do not fit in ears well
"Ok, so Philips being a good brand, I expected these to be a good pair of earbuds. Whats annoying is they do not fit in your ear and then stay there... maybe its because I have small earholes.... so if you have small earholes steer clear"

Dancing to great sound
06/15/2009
By Galadrielle

What's great about it: The sound is spectacular and these headphones are comfortable.
What's not so great: They tangle easily.
"These headphones are far superior to the standard flat earbuds, as they fit neatly into my ears. As a belly dancer, I like the way they are worn behind, and not in front of, my neck and upper body. I wear them all the time when I practice, although I must be careful when practicing veil work while wearing them. The sound is excellent, and I find these headphones a good investment for all who appreciate hearing their music clearly."

Good, not great product

What's great about it: great sound
What's not so great: falls out of ears
"These headphones had great sound, you could really feel the bass in the song you were listening to. But if you smiled with these buds in your ears, they'd fall out or make your ears hurt. Good headphones, but not something I would buy again."

Sounds Like A Frikin Boes "Wave"
05/01/2009

What's great about it: Awsome Sound
What's not so great: Keep Away From Any Water
"I've had a few pairs of this ear bud and love the sound, I also have a Bose Wave in my bedroom, they both sound great. I'm deaf in one ear so finding a nice bassy pair of earphones is hard (I can still feel bass with my deaf ear). That's why I always buy these. But I do have one problem, when I workout or clean the kitchen they can end up getting wet, and after say, a weak they start to lose sound quality. My guess is that well since there's an opening at the bottom, water can get in and evaporate causing humidity inside the ear bud. If you work in a dry place, then I completely recommend you buying these over a more expensive brand, if you don't then you shouldn't bother getting them"

What's not so great: EVERYTHING!,

Good set of headphones

What's great about it: Sounds good
What's not so great: Rubber pieces are easy to lose
"I've had multiple sets of these earbuds, and I'm very happy with them. I feel that the sound is very good.
My only problem is that the rubber pieces are removable, so that you can use different sizes depending on your ears. That's great, but they come off TOO easily, and I end up losing those things all the time. In fact, I probably wouldn't have had to buy half as many if I hadn't lost those rubber pieces. I've only had one pair of them get a short.
I'll keep buying them though."

Terrible headphones
03/12/2009
By bunkin

What's great about it: Relatively cheap
What's not so great: Sound bad, hurt your ears, constantly falling out of my ears, cord length to actual earpieces
"I needed a cheap set of headphones to listen to my Zune at work. I thought this pair would fit the bill, but as soon as I got back to work and put them in my ears I was immediately disappointed. First, they sounded terrible. I was listening to an audio book and it sounded like the narrator was talking through a wet paper bag. Then they kept falling out of my ears. I realized the reason for this was because the cords to the actual earpieces are different lengths. I discovered that this is something some manufacturers are doing now because the cord is supposed to go behind your neck so it doesn't interfere with exercising. Problem is, since the cord to the left earbud is shorter it ends up having to support more weight (because it's so short it has to support the weight of the main cable) which in turn makes it more susceptible to falling out of your ear. On top of that, the earpieces are pretty uncomfortable. I ended up taking them back and exchanging them for the JVC Gumy headphones. They're half what these costs, sound better (but not exceptional), and feel more comfortable in my ear. I would not recommend this product at all."

"I love them they are the best earfones i ever owned. the only bad the thing about it is the rubber bud you can loose easily if u dont take care of them espeically if you go to sleep with them. Other then that the sound is awesome maybe to good, you cannot hear anything. Riding a subway cant hear the train nothing. Super Bass. MOstly for mens ear. doesnt fit women or small ears"

Best earbuds I've ever had
01/27/2009
By RobertoPF

What's great about it: Deep bass, sharp treble, very high quality sound, very crisp. Perfect fit for mans's ears.
What's not so great: May not fit women's ears, as the shape of the cone requires a rather large ear opening.
"There are many reviews here complaining about the size of the cone. For me this is not a problem, as I have medium to large ear openings. The buds sit perfectly snuggle, and the sound is astounding.
Bass is deep. Treble is crisp. The surround sound gives you a magnificent effect of depth. I recommend trying this earbuds with Gotan Project's "El Capitalismo Foraneo", which has sound echoes that really highlight the surround.
Best earphones I've ever had, and I've had quite a few, including several expensive ones. Tomorrow I buy another pair for the office."

Nice sound, fall out of ears

What's great about it: The sound is great.
What's not so great: They fall out of your ears if you sweat a lot
"I really liked the sound of these. The cord is long enough that it my mp3 player can stay in my pocket with out pulling out. The only down side is these fall out of my ears when working out. I found that if I wrap the cord around my ear they stay in a little better."

Great Sound, Poor Fit
01/19/2009
By jlh5205

What's great about it: Sound quality
What's not so great: Design, fit
"I recently purchased these headphones a few days ago and just returned it today. They have very high quality sound, that wasn't a problem at all. They definitely said it with the virtual surround sound. The buds though are a weird design that are quite large and they just kept falling out of my ears. They'd stay in only if I really shoved them hard in there but after a while I'd start getting headaches and it would get very uncomfortable. I exchanged them for smaller ear buds which have just as great as quality but more comfortable. Maybe if you had large ears, then definitely buy them, but if they are small, I'd stay away."

What's great about it: awesome sound
What's not so great: cant possibly be called headphones
"umm. . .has anyone else looked at these?? how big do your ears have to be for these to fit these inside?? i love the sound though, and can hear it fine if i drape the cord over the top of my ear and listen that way. but honestly now that i thnk about it. i have never EVER owned a pair pf phillips headphones that were comfortable, will never buy from them again, skullcandy is the best way to go for comfy, cheap, good sounding headphones"
