What's great about it: you don't need to be close to a place to plug it in
What's not so great: you need a good network to connect to
"Well i've been using this thing for about 6 months and it's worked fine... EXCEPT when there is a bad connection to a network. If I was asked if i would pay 100 bucks for it, i would want to pay less. I got mine on sale for $75 at best buy and it's great. Another thing is that what i've noticed is that if you have a computer and you're on it or someone else is on the network it is much slower. Now i'm not sure if it's just the games or if its the network so just heads up if you're going to buy this. Other than that it works great. ;). Peace Out!"

What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: price and uneeded
"Instead of buying this you can bridge your xbox through your computer. Also you can buy a simple usb wireless adapter that does the same thing for much less."

What's great about it: wireless
What's not so great: price
"compared to other wireless usb network adapters, this is tooooooo expensive, but it works, as i always say, its ms and they make stuff to math their console, but you have to pay for it
apart, if you dont own a good router, sometimes youl get disconnected, its like a lil more sensitive than a pc adapter, watch out !!"

Why is this not built in?

What's great about it: It allows you to play X-Box online with others.
What's not so great: You HAVE to have it.
"The only reason I would recommend this to a friend is because if you cannot hook up a wire ALL the way through your house, you're out of luck. This also applies if you don't have wireless internet or a really long cord. Its unfortunate that both PS3 and the Wii have this same feature built into their console. No wires, no plugs, no set up. Plug in and play anywhere wireless is available.
The cost is absolutely ridiculous. Its $100 for something that is built into other gaming consoles. This adapter does nothing but plug into the back of your console. That's it. No fancy lights. It doesn't make you breakfast. It does nothing more than weakly capture the signal of the internet when its down the hall from you or in the same house. I'm not trying to pick up my neighbor's internet and it still gives me 1 or 2 bars when I'm 50 feet way. Consider it an automatic price that has to be tacked onto the cost of the console if you don't meet the conditions above. Go get it...only cause you have to. Use the cords if possible. It can really save you some money."

What's great about it: easy connectivity
What's not so great: price
"This wireless adapter is pretty good. It connects easily to your router. You plug it into the back of the console and then it instantly connects to any router within its range. The only bad thing is the price. I mean 100$$$$. WOW! But get the product anyways because it is really worth it. See you on LIVE."

What's great about it: Easy to install and set up
What's not so great: No WPA2 security support, low reliability
"This adapter functions well enough to get you connected. However, the security type is misrepresented as WPA2 capable when it only supports WEP and WPA security. Aditionally, the adapter fails to power-on during system start-up and requires you to unplug and plug in the adapter to initialize it (this may be just mine, but it is mentioned in the support section on the product web site). Other than that, as I said, it does it's job, though there are other options available."

What's great about it: No cables to route through your house
What's not so great: A little expensive
"This is the solution for the modem/hub that is upstairs while your console sits downstairs, and well you dont want to run 100' of cable through your house, under the carpet and essentially poking through your ceiling. The range is amazing, basically sets itself up. My XBox is at least 50+ feet away and downstairs and I always have full bar connectivity with my 2wire modem. And it clips to the back....unseen. A must have!!"

What's great about it: It works and its out of the way, isn't that what you want?
What's not so great: The many hopes that shall be cut down by lack of knowledge.
"First...and O most certainly foremost. Also have a wirless internet router, or its a paper weight. sorry. Other than that, not much to really say about it. (umm...looks cool.) But do not worry...wirless routers do not cost WAY to much.
A+ does what you want...there you go JUMP IN"

What's great about it: wireless gaming
What's not so great: you have to have an extremely good wireless router
"When I bought this product I was excited to use it, but my hopes were slowly destroyed when I found out you had to get a gaming wireless router otherwise the game freezes and you get penalized on the game for leaving. I would recommend getting a Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming Adapter before getting this."

What's great about it: Setup & Speed
What's not so great: Price (Grrrrr!)
"Not a fun purchase to make but a "must-buy" if you are an Xbox360 owner & want to run via a wireless network! Microsoft is still laughing all the way to the bank on this one. But,hey! Maybe they will take some of the proceeds and add "turbo-charged" wi-fi on the next gen of xbox's!"

What's great about it: The fact that its wireless and its works great!
What's not so great: of course the price sucks but i definetly say its worth it.i hate spending a lot.if it does what it says then its fine.
"I use a linksys WRT160N router. I tested the connection before i got mine and it works great...maybe a few lag outs..but theres always something that doesnt go right, but this is really crazy hi tech stuff so theres gotta be some interference. but i love playing online with my friends and even my family. Make sure your using WPA and not WPA2 (its not compatible with xbox) if its WPA2 just change it to WPA by going to the router settings. Any linksys router should work with this product."

What's great about it: very very easy to set up and use, small, hooks onto the back of your x box 360.
What's not so great: pricey, wish it came in black for the elite console.
"Not much i can really say. The adapter is required if you have a wireless router. I never haver any problems with it and it works great."

What's great about it: Easy to Set Up
What's not so great: not a single thing, except maybe the price
"I was kind of skeptical at first with the wireless adapter. I broke down and bought it because I want live with my xbox 360, and I didn't want to have to go through the trouble to run an ethernet cable +60 ft under the carpet in my house. So I bought it and get it up and running with xbox live, and surprisingly to me, it is running very well. I have not encountered any connection problems or lags yet (knock on wood). I recommend purchasing this product"

What's great about it: Wireless Connection
What's not so great: Stupid Expensive
"Unfortunately, I had to pick this up because I had no other alternatives to connecting to Xbox Live. Running an ethernet cable through my house would be the logical thing to do, but since I move my 360 from room to room, I needed something portable. The wireless adapter connects to my router rather quickly, and rarely does lose connection. It is only in one part of my basement, about 60 feet away and 30 feet under where my router is-does the connection get slow (naturally). Bottom Line: It works. Just find an alternative before throwing away $100."
