What's great about it: Good if you can't connect via ethnet
What's not so great: Expensive for what it is
"I wouldn't recommend wireless if it is possible for you to use a wired connection. Wireless can sometimes be a hassle, especially if you have many walls in between your router and wireless adapter. And it's not as fast. I'd recommend moving your router to you Xbox and getting a cheaper PC wireless adapter for your computer. Also it is pretty expensive for what have should have come included with the console for free!!"

Great Adapter

What's great about it: Works Good
What's not so great: Price is a bit high
"I have had this adapter for over two years and it works great. Its easy to set up and keeps a good connection all the time. Also, its small so its not clunky. One thing that stinks for people with other system colors than white is it looks very odd on them, but that is only noticable when you see it from the side. If you have it on a tv stand shelf no one will see it."

What's not so great: Price,
"Yes this overpriced wireless adapter is usefull and it does work even after 2 years of daily gaming. one note if u want it to last longer then 6 months."Don't play with the cord". i don't know why but it's vary weak and most people strech it out and then it stops working. no the products fault. Overall vary happy with it."

What's great about it: Range
What's not so great: Price
"This thing is amazing. I have it about 50 ft away from my wireless router and through a few walls and get awesome reception. Makes it alot easier than running tons of feet of ethernet cable. Is expensive though."

What's great about it: easy to setup
What's not so great: very short range, not worth $100
"i paid $100 for this dumb thing. i put it in my xbox and i have one to no bars. i called the provided number where some service dude told me that the limit was 30 feet!!! i asked him if he was kidding, but to no avail. anyway, my main point is the Linksys - Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming Adapter, found on the second page of the computer catagory if you search wireless adaptor, is a much more logical decision. it costs the same, picks up a much better wireless signal and connects with an ethernet cord. so i recomend getting that, and perhaps using it again on whatever microsoft comes up with next, seeing how it connects with a universal ethernet cord."

Worst for mac users

What's great about it: Easy to set up
What's not so great: Does not work at all with Mac AirPort
"I bought this product on 2/6 and i thought it was going to be good. How ever, after a week of waiting it finally came to my house. I set it up through airport on my mac and it recongnized my network, but when i went to TEST CONNECTION this thing screwed me over. The test wouldnt last half a second and all it said was FAILED. There was nothing wrong with the setup this stupid thing, no matter what i would do, would not connect with my network (which by the way had four green bars). I returned it after just three hours of having it."

Great Wireless Adapter
02/04/2009

What's great about it: Very easy to set up and use
What's not so great: N/A
"This adapter is great. Couldn't be any easier to install and set up. I had a choice of either buying this or 100 feet of ethernet cable. I always have a 3+ signal bar. I use a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router and they communicate great together. The $99.99 price tag is a little steep but well worth the money for it. I wish I had decided to buy this sooner."

What's great about it: Made for xbox and i can be away from my computer
What's not so great: Overpriced, but computer wireless adapters are just a bit cheaper and look cheesy
"Although other computer wireless adapters are cheaper by a tiny bit, they are cheesy/ghetto looking. The 360 adapter is great i believe, you get what you pay for. It can be hard to find but worth it."

Decent product but not at all the only solution
01/21/2009

What's great about it: no hassle, small size, made just for xbox
What's not so great: overpriced (computer wireless adapters arent this much), many people who dont need it have one
"its a good product but too many people are spendin 100 bucks they dont need to spend when they have the solution at home to get wireless on 360
if you have a laptop you can get wireless through that. just connect wirelessly to the net on your laptop and hook your laptop to your 360 via ethernet cord.
the best solution and about 70 dollars cheaper is to get a wireless network bridge. what that does is basically pick up wireless signal and allow you to plug it directly into anything that takes ethernet but doesnt have wireless so it basically acts as a wireless adapter and they work great with the 360."

Best Xbox 360 accessory...when used w/i its limits
01/21/2009

What's great about it: strong wireless signal, no lag, one less wire!
What's not so great: Weak signal when more than one story away from router, price.
"Obviously there are mixed reviews about this item. I have used my wireless adapter in a few different situations and it has shined in most of them. I did have trouble getting it to connect at my parents house when my xbox was in the basement and the router was on the second floor. I am pretty sure that the distance was just to great, however I never did confirm it was the adapter and not the router. Take it for what it's worth. I do know it will work w/ a one story difference, and that it will work through walls. I would risk taking a guess that people having issues in these situations need to adjust thier router UPnP settings or need to do a reset of thier router/modem. When used w/i its limits I've never had anything less than a 3+ bar signal (the signal is displayed exactly like a cell phone display). No lag in massive multiplayer games (i.e. Call of Duty 4, World at War, Rainbow 6 V2...) If they would just cut the price of this thing in half, it would be a 5 star item."

What's great about it: Easy to set up, works great....no messy wires at all!!
What's not so great: Expensive! This device is not necessary if you have a laptop....do a search.
"This device is a great way to connect your xbox 360 to Xbox Live. You have no wires to worry about and the connection is excellent...if you have no interference to deal with. Overall...a good device but not necessary."

Easy to connect to your home network
01/18/2009
By sirisuperfan

What's great about it: Simple to install to your console; easy to set up your network
What's not so great: Wireless range could be a little better but most 2-story homes should have no issues
"I have been using this for a year now and it works great. Installing this to your console is as simple as plugging in a USB cable and snapping the adapter in place on the back-left portion of the 360.
Once installed setting up a connection to your wireless network is pretty simple. You simply scan for networks nearby, select yours and enter your passphrase if you use WPA2 encryption. If you do not have an encrypted home network YOU SHOULD CONSIDER SECURING IT."

Worst item that microsoft sells

What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: it has no strength to pick up wireless
"This wireless adapter is the biggest waste of money. I bought this thinking there would be no need for a cord across the house well i was wrong. The adapter does not pick up a router through one wall. It will work for a little bit and then you are kicked off i have confirmed with best buy that the adapter is the problem and a cord would work better. So please dont go out and waste your money it is not even worth the $100.00. That is the other thing the price is just outrageous it is worth maybe 20-30 but microsoft needs more money."

What's great about it: No wires no hassles
What's not so great: nothing found
"i bought this wanting no ethernet wires running through my house, and this little charm made that "dream" a reality, it works well and i usually have 3 green pings, on bad weather day 2 yellow, this was worth the price to not have to mess with another wire for my system"

What's great about it: Works in every room in my house, WIRELESS!
What's not so great: Price
"I've had this for about a year and I recently bought a new one for my other Xbox. Both work amazingly, but the sad thing is the price is still at $100. The wireless adapter is great for any Xbox 360, but personally I think $100 is way too much to pay for it."
