What's great about it: less dropped signals
What's not so great: no power switch
doing research on line I saw on the web, read the reviews and decided 2 take a chance and I'm glad I did. returned my modem 2 twc after reading the reviews I didn't even know they were charging a fee. no letter was sent nor by e-mail by twc greedy b*star*s!!!! These companies have us by the ball* live long and prosper. now 2 wait and see how long this modem holds up? LoL. Oh just call twc customer serv let them know the make and modell and they will do the rest.

This modem is tons better than the black cable modem that I was leasing from Oceanic Time Warner. Very reliable -- it has never failed on me since I installed it. And since I own the modem I'll be saving $$$ in the long run.

Great product for a $100. Especially after you take Into account the $7 you save per mo. The cable company charges for their rental. It pays for itself for sure, enough said!

There's not a lot to this device. It's a cable modem so you basically plug it in and use it. I bought it to replace the company provided all-in-one modem/router/WAP. Works great, speeds are at least as good as what I got with company-supplied equipment.

What's great about it: Replaced my comcast modem! Now I'm saving money monthly without cable fees anymore! This modem works perfect!
What's not so great: A bit pricey, but its worth it!
So far the best and high speed modem! The signal was great! Easy to set up. It is worth spending the money to avoid the monthly rental fee from comcast!

What's great about it: Gets you the most out of your Comcast Cable

I replaced my 10 year old Motorola Surf Board Modem with this new 3.0 version. I use it with my Net Gear 900 Dual Band Wireless Router. The Lan connection increased from T100 to T1000 and is blazing fast thru my Ethernet. The wireless connection is also very fast letting me download everything very quickly. We have 4 computers, several I pads, A smart TV, Xbox, and other wireless devices running all at the same time with no lag. It was very easy to set up and only required one brief phone call to Comcast to activate it. I highly recommend upgrading to this modem even if your old modem is still working like mine was.

This was purchased to replace the modem we were renting from time warner cable. This was much cheaper in the long term then rent for years. Make sure you google the other features of this modem.

I bought a SB6141 two years ago after my prior Motorola modem began having issues. Seems the last two owned have not held up. The first one of the three was great and only began to fail when technology outpaced it, otherwise it was still purring along. When first installed the SB6141 ran great but after 1 year I noticed intermittent disconnects and reboots. The situation slowly worsened over the next year until near complete failure. I initially thought it was my Netgear router being that it was older than my modem but that was not the case. Cable technician came out and checked lines, tweaked a few things and all was perfect, Not. What I began to figure out was that after sitting for awhile the modem would work but as soon as a load of internet requests was made it would cascade into full failure. At it's worst I could only get 1 or 2 web pages to load before it lost connection. Once I replaced it with a Zoom 5341J all is well in the home and so far so good. See ya Motorolla I refuse to waist any more money.
