What's great about it: Cannot be beat in this price range. Period.
What's not so great: Not the first choice for studio recording, but passable.
SM58's are the best *dynamic* mics you can buy for performing in this price range. They will take a beating on the road, too. Great sound, live. If you are recording vocals in the studio or at home, you could move up to a condensor mic. Before the surge of lower-priced condensors and no-name import dynamic mics, the 58's ruled, bar-none. Solid mic. Shure builit it's empire on this line.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: One of the most popular mics of all time at a steal
What's not so great: I'm on a budget and can't afford two yet
You all probably know what it is but if not, most bands have either used them or are using them.
But for $75.00 and free shipping, no one else even comes close to that price. I was kind of worried when I ordered mine that the price was an error which I still think it might be, but I received it and it is the real deal.

What's great about it: sounds great
The Shure SM58 is the workhorse stage mic. I use it as an extra mic for my podcast recordings. At $80 it was a no-brainer.

What's great about it: Solid performing microphone, at a reasonable price.
What's not so great: Pretty heavy, need a solid stand to hold it. And no mic cable included.
This is a solid /durable microphone with great performance, on sale at $75 with another $10 MIR; its a deal. The only negatives for me are the fact that it is heavy; due to its build quality. The other negative is you have to buy a balanced XLR cable, since there is nothing included in the box.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: legendary name. solid, reliable mic.
What's not so great: cap isnt durable at all, volume is low.
this is a good mic but i think a lot of why this mic is so popular is because of the name. dont get me wrong, its not bad at all but compared to newer, similarly priced mics, this isnt that great. it does have a nice warm tone to it, but not everyone wants that. i wanted a clearer sound. also, this mic seems to have a much lower volume than other mics which is weird. but overall you cant go wrong with this mic. im not mad that i bought it but its definetly not my favorite. all i can say is dont buy this for the name, do some research first, then if you still want a 58, go for it.

What's great about it: that was the best microphone had been seen
wonderful mricrophone ever make by shure. I request that who use microphone tho single karaoke and I requset to use thi microphone vocal
