For a basic front loader you cant go wrong with this Frigidair model. It has several basic settings such a towels, perm press and delicate as well as specific timed settings. The timer is fairly accurate although the moisture sensor will override your setting choice on most settings leaving you with no countdown timer once you have started the load... This means that you just have to wait it out, however, using this dryer with the front loading washer means most loads will be completely dry in around 40 minutes. The drum light is a nice feature although I don't know how useful since I don't do my laundry in the dark. The drum easily holds a queen size comforter and I have had as many as 10 towels in at one time which all come out dry and fluffy in under 45 minutes. The unit will also retain the options chosen for each setting based on its last use. This means that if you dry most loads on perm press on medium high and have one load that is delicate, when you go back to perm press it will still be set to medium high heat. This is actually a nice feature if you have children and many many loads of laundry. This feature is even more appreciated on the matching washer where you can change things like water temp and soil of the clothing. Overall if you can live without the bells and whistles this is a hard working, family friendly, easy to use unit.
What's great about it: Basic front loading dryer, easy to use, lots of basic settings and no issues.
What's not so great: No real extras
