Easier to use, less expensive, and a much better look and feel than the regular Harmony remotes. It works with my whole setup, which includes a Samsung TV, old Samsung VCR, Comcast DVR box, XBox 360, and even Apple MacBook. The remote can even sense movement around it, so when you're looking for the remote in the dark, it lights itself up as soon as it feels something. It's also much more comfortable and smaller than I thought it would be just looking at it in the packaging.

What's great about it: works with everything
What's not so great: sometimes doesn't switch input on tv, but hit help button and fixes it immediately
I have an Xbox, Apple TV, Sharp Aquos, Cable/DVR box, DVD/Surround sound Panasonic, and Extreme Mac HDMI switch, and it works flawlessly with all the devices. I was wary of it working with the Apple TV and HDMI switch, but it actually works better than the Apple remote. Also, we have gone from 5 remotes to 1. Definitely worth every penny. Even if you don't have an xbox360, it has more options than the base Harmony remote.

What's great about it: controls everything besides bluetooth
What's not so great: It uses more juice than a common remote but no big deal buy lithium batteries
I paid $89.99 and it was well worth it.Now its only $79.99 nice, if you have the xbox 360 this is a must have DVD remote.It's the best out for now anyway.You won't regret it.
Controls my,Xbox 360,TV,Stereo,DVR,IHome radio,etc.

What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Can be tricky to program
I've had this remote for about 6 months now, and it is one of the best additions to our home entertainment center. My wife can operate anything and everything she wants to with ease. My in-laws can even watch TV or DVD's or listen to the radio without any problems any more. The initial set up was quick and easy. The fine tuning took a little longer, but it's worth it to have the remote set up just the way you like it. I would definitely recommend this to ANYONE! It's also nice not having to turn on a controller to navigate your xbox dashboard. Works well with the NXE and even the Netflix application.

What's great about it: Extreme ease of use, controls more devices than 510 series for same price
What's not so great: nothing
I previously owned a Harmony 1000 series, but couldnt justify the price for what it did. This xbox remote controls almost as many devices and with more ease. I actually believe this remote works better than the 1000, i was always troubleshooting it when changing between devices. Also, with this remote, one can memorize where the buttons are instead of having to keep searching for them in a touch screen. Therfore,i ts a large advantage to be able to feel the buttons instead of having to keep looking for them on a touch screen. I would recommend this remote more than any other harmony remote, a great buy. And it works great with your xbox.
If shopping between remotes, go with this one over the 510, but if you want to spend more money for the "cool" factor, than look towards the 1000.

What's great about it: Easy set up - unbelievable database of components - works great with XBOX 360
What's not so great: Like to have a charging base - Battery life not so good~
Mainly purchased this to be able to control the Nexflix instant viewing on my XBOX 360 - but it truly is a remarkable remote in all aspects. I was amazed with the fact that Logitech had my Olevia TV and Impact Acoustics switch box in their database. I expected my Denon receiver and Oppo DVD to be there - but I was surprised that everything I owned was supported.
Set up was very easy - I downloaded the latest version of the MAC software from Logitech and man, was it easy to use! Just enter the Manufacturer and Model of your equipment and all aspect of your legacy remotes is programmed into the Logitech via USB. Then, you decide on the activities (such as view TV, play DVD, CD ... etc,) and and answer a few configuration questions and you are complete. The data is downloaded to the remote via USB. Once you test it, if you find an error, you can make a few changes on the remote, or make changes via the software. Pretty cool device.
The batteries that came in the device lasted about 1 hour - they were installed and the remove had a demo in the packaging, so not sure how many uses it had before I got it.
I really would like to see an updated version with a charging base - maybe the next one will include that.

What's not so great: Have some inconvenient features on controlling
This is a very useful remote. You can control your xbox 360, TV, DVD player with only one remote. It is very easy to set up, the disc comes with it helps you step by step.
However, the battery life of it is short. Also, I hate about the thing that when I switch from xbox 360 to TV, it shuts down my xbox 360, or vice versa. But overall speaking, it is a great deal.

I purchased this remote to use with my home theater system and my XBox 360. The Logitech software made setup easy and I was able to setup up different programs that would turn on consecutive components. $100 is a little pricey, but cheaper universal remotes are not even on Logitech's level

Great product, Very easy to use once it is set up, and very easy to set up.
Had a little problem with it switching inputs on TV as mine takes a minute to warm up and receive commands, but re-programed the remote and everything works wonderfully!

This is the best purchase I have made yet. Got a new receiver and was worried about the wife being able to control everything so I got this remote too. Now she just hits one button and everything turns and for her. My other 4 remotes just sit in the droor. Everyone that has an Xbox360 should have this remote.

What's great about it: Ease Of Use, Great design

The remote is very comfortable in your hand! It is very light and all of the buttons are easily reachable while just using one hand! The back of the remote is covered in an anti slip, rubber like material that feels pretty nice. My only concern is the bottom of the remote is pretty thick so that it can accommodate the batteries but as the case of the remote goes up toward the screen, the overall thickness of the remote goes right down to almost nothing, which is a little worrying and I wonder about the overall durability of the design. Other than that the remote does honestly feel sturdy, the buttons have a nice click to them when you press them down.
The thing that scares most people off of buying these universal remotes is the programming of them. I am very computer and tech savvy so for me setup was a breeze. I wanted to see how easy it was for some to setup who is not tech savvy though. I deleted everything I had done in terms of programming and asked my wife to give it a go! The remote comes with some very nice software which allows you to setup you remote via the web! The amount of devices that this remote can control is over 80,000 and that grows every day as Logitech is always upgrading their database of products! Once you have the software installed it is time to connect the remote to your computer via the USB cable that comes packed with the remote. Once you are in the software the setup is very easy! My wife had the remote up and running in 15 minutes without help from me.
The first thing the software will ask you for is information about your devices. It will list tv, dvd, game console, cable / satellite box surround sound receiver and so on. All you do is type in the model number of your devices into each field and the software will automatically program the remote for those devices. The cool thing about this remote is about to come though. You can set up activities with this remote.
An activity could be watching cable. The software will ask you what devices do you use when you watch cable? Well the first thing you would select is the tv itself, and then the cable box. I also use a surround sound system as well so I told the software that I also use the surround sound. You will then be asked what settings your products are set to, for example. My surround sound is set to cable and my tv is set to HDMI. Once that has been done you have set your first activity. Well what does that do for you? Imagine all of your equipment is off and you want to watch cable or satellite. You would press the activity button that is located at the top of the remote and all of the activities that you have programmed will be displayed on the LCD screen. You would select watch cable, the remote will then turn on all of your devices and change them so that all of the settings are correct, like tv set to HDMI and surround set to cable and thats it! All of your devices are turned on and you are ready to watch tv just like normal! The remote will have already programmed all of the most popular buttons from all of your remotes into the harmony 520.

The LCD screen shows the most popular button choices from all of your remotes. There is a scroll button underneath the screen so you can through the pages of buttons! The Remote is so easy to use! You can customize to your heats content though! With the software you can make any button on the remote do anything that your other remotes can do! If you are like me and want to customize absolutely everything then this is for you! If not and you just want to be able to do the basic things like change a channel, change the volume, use your DVR etc then all of that is setup for you! You can make it as easy to use as you like, set things up how you want them setup or you can use the settings that the software chooses which is pretty much everything, everyone needs anyway!
You can program up to 12 activities on this remote. If you are watching cable and then decide that you want to play your game console then all you would have to do (as long as you have programmed it) is press the activity button and press play games, then your tv would change to the correct setting as would your surround sound, and your gaming system would be turned on! Any devices that would not be needed to play the games, like your cable box would be turned off! It is absolutely fantastic! At the end of your session when you want to turn things off and take a break, just hit the power button and all of your devices will turn off with one button press! Talk about convenience!
I know what you are thinking! $99 for a remote control! Thats crazy! Believe me I was skeptical at first and did not think that this universal remote would work very well! I had bad experiences with cheaper remotes, the ones where you have ti enter in 3 digit codes! The Logitech Harmony 520 is nothing like those old remotes at all! My life is now so much easier because of this remote, I am so glad that I took the plunge and went out to buy this remote! My wife loves it too! The remote is easy to setup and very easy to use! If you have a lot of devices and have a lot of remotes, you will be able to eliminate one of your headaches once and for all by buying this universal remote from Logitech!

This is the best purchase I have made in a very long time. After being very frustrated with the amount remotes in my house I decided finally to get one. At first I was a little bit nervous about spending that much money on a remote but once it was purchased I quickly got over it. Set-up took about 10 minutes and worked flawlessly the first try.

What's great about it: Turns on ANYTHING that has a remote!

This remote literally does it all. I use it to control my, Xbox, A/V receiver, TV, cable box, DVD player, Computer, stereo, lights, and air conditioner. It is very simple to set up. You plug it into your computer via USB and type in the names and brands of your devices and the remote does the rest. When I press "Watch TV" It turns on my TV sets it to the proper input, turns on my cable box, turns on my A/V receiver and sets IT to the correct input. ONE BUTTON! The same to play Xbox or watch a DVD. The only problem is that I never NEED to stand up again.

This is by far one of the best products that I have ever purchased. It is really easy to use and, quite frankly, idiot proof. You push one button to turn on your TV and 360. you push another and it will turn on your sound system, TV and DVD player. This is the all in one remote. This will be the last universal remote you will ever have to buy.
The most difficult thing about this remote is looking up the model numbers for all your devices. But that is easily fixed by going to the devices' companies' websites.

What's great about it: love the overall functionality

Bought this remote for myself since I was tired of having a remotes for my tv, vcr ,DVD player,and xbox 360.It is certainly a purchase I don't regret. I do wish it could of been a little cheaper though.logitech sure did and awesome job designing this remote ultimately.I hope to be using this remote for quite sometime to come.

I saw this online and picked it up right away. It is easy to set-up just load the software and plug the USB cable into your computer. I love the fact that the IR code datebase is updateable so as new devices come out you can still control them. I work for a top AV company that installs many high end control systems and this remote has plenty of bang for it's buck. If you have more then one remote and a XBOX 360 then you need this remote.

What's great about it: This thing linked every component together.
What's not so great: Does not control Bluetooth items (wii,PS3)
My GF bought me this device for my birthday and I must say it was the best thing I have ever received. It linked my cable box, 360, surround sound, and fan all together. I push one button and it will turn on what I want to do. Watch TV it will turn on the TV, Cable box, and receiver. Play 360 it will select HDMI 3, turn on the 360, turn the receiver to Video 2, and turn on my fan. It is a effortless item that is worth its weight in gold. Customer service from Logitech is the best too.... Install the software on the computer, type in the model numbers, synch the cotroller via USB and your done. I would buy this again and again if I needed to.

ive been working with 6 different remotes for a long time now. one for my xbox, x box hddvd, directv, surround sound system (which is the pioneer xbox version), my tv, and playstation 3. i was able wo put all of them on the remote, and never have to use the other remotes for anything.(excluding the ps3 because its a bluetooth remote, but 2 is better than 6) the software makes it easy to set up and the help feature on the remote makes it easy to correst problems. its been much easier to work with just the one and not have to find the tv remote to change the input, or the surround sound one to power it on and off. this is definatly a must have if you have alot of remotes that are a pain to keep track of

I always wanted a universal remote but never really thought they would deliver as promised, plus the price of them. This remote has changed my mind, besides all of the equipment it controls this is the best purchase I have made in a long time. It does everything it says and more. If you are a 360 owner you would be stupid not to have one. This is worth every penny and more. I would give it 10 stars if I could.
