What's great about it: Very accurate, fast at recalculating
What's not so great: Average battery life
"I've used this device many times on long distance trips; I no longer need maps! However I highly recommend to carry the charging cable that fits into the standard voltage outlets in cars, the battery can run out pretty quickly. Turning down the brightness and volume will help.
You can save many locations, and finding gas stations is a breeze!"

What's great about it: I never get lost
What's not so great: Sometimes roads are not updated, and can't find some places.
"After buying this i drive confident cause i know i won't gte lost. Sometimes the maps are a little off, but its because of new construction. I have been having trouble with the window mount not wanting to stay in place for a long period of time. Overall, unit is great except for some minor things."

"I have had my 340 for two years without a problem. I have traveled 1000's of miles with very few mistakes on the part of the unit. Recently I encountered a problem and Garmin updated my software without a problem. I'm now back in business. This is a great unit. Garmin is the best! And the price now is half what I paid!"

"I have had my GPS since last Christmas and I have very few complaints. This GPS is easy to use and the text-to-speech is a great feature. The only complaint I have is that the suction cup device that comes with the unit will not stay on my window. I have tried several different ways to fix the problem, but ended up attaching the permanent platform to the dash and attaching it that way. The other issue I had was when I let the battery run completely down. I couldn't get it to charge up again. When I finally did, I also updated the software. Now the unit is really slow and dies whenever its removed from the power source."

"This has to be one of the best purchases i have ever made at Best Buy!i have had it for about 2 months now and it has brought me ever where i needed to go. if you are thinking about buying the garmin streetpilot 330 spend the extra $120.00(you'll be glad you did). The text to speech feature is the main reason why i purchased the Garmin streetpilot 340. so believe me when i say garmin is the best and real easy to use then the streetpilot 340 is the way to go!!!!!!!"

"i prchased this for my drive to florida and let me tell you it worked awesome. it actually shaved time off my drive time about 2 hours combined both way's. it had all the places i wanted to get to in poi and was a joy to use.for the money i highly recomend this unit. took it out of the box and put it in my car without doing much to it and it was so easy to use."

"This product works great for travels in well populates areas. Once you get into the country a bit we have found addresses do not always appear. It does have a USB cable and software to update locations however we have not used it yet.
The hotel and food locations buttons work great when you are looking for some place close to stop when in new locations."

"The Garmin c340 is easier to use and just as functional as the GPS system in my Acura. When we bought a new car last month I decided to buy the Garmin instead of getting the much more expensive GPS system in the car. I can truthfully say that the Garmin is much easier to use and just as comprehensive as the Acura in-car system. We travel a lot and I totally rely on GPS. I have used the Garmin several times now and it is terrific. I bought the c340 model because it does exactly the same as the 2 next more expensive models. The c340 just does not have Bluetooth (have no idea how to use that anyway) and it does not have the MP3 player (I have a CD player so why do I need the MP3?). I would recommend this system to anyone."
