I would definitely recommend this product. We don't use this often, but once in a while for a party we will make some breaded shrimp in it, and it comes out perfectly. It's easy to use, self explanatory from the buttons on the front, relatively light weight. Overall, this is a great product and no regrets buying it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

After a little trial and error, the fried food comes out great every time.
However on the first use, the knob on timer broke. It looks like inferior plastic is used in construction as others have said in reviews. Too bad, as otherwise it is a fine unit for the price.
I notice that most Best Buy stores have stopped having the unit on their shelves.

it does a good job cooking BUT THE HANDEL IS JUNK WE USED OUR FRYER 2 TIMES AND THE HANDLE BROOK IN PEACES

I love this compared to my "fry daddy". It's dishwasher safe and the oil compartment is separate to make it easy to change/clean. Cooks food great!
What's great about it: easy to use and clean.
What's not so great: small basket

This fryer cooks perfectly. The only problem I have encountered twice already is the handle on the basket. It is make out cheap plastic and has cracked twice. I have returned it once now I have to contact the manufactuer because I am out of my return policy. Other than that it cooks great and is easy to clean, diswasher safe parts.
What's great about it: cooks great, easy to clean
What's not so great: poor workmanship
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Basket to small, shuts off to soon and I dont like the fact that my food may touch the elements but the food was cooked well. I did like the timer.
