What's great about it: Good display, easy navigation What's not so great: no serial connection
"I've been using the ipod adapter for a while now and it's performed well. The only downside is that it only displays a few lines of text for searching and doesn't have all the info that goes with the songs sometimes. This may just be more noticeable since I have a Double DIN system and most people hook up to a standard single DIN that only has one or two lines for text. The only way to improve would be to have an adapter specifically for the touchscreen recievers for ease of use and for video as well."

A Must For JVC Decks
07/03/2008

What's great about it: Simple, Easy Install, Hide Away Installation What's not so great: Menu Navigation Can Be Cumbersome
"This adapter is a must for owners of JVC Decks. Once you learn what buttons do what from the deck to the iPod it’s really easy to navigate. The adapter disables all control functionally of the iPod and forces you to use the deck for control. The Sound quality is excellent, Just remember to set the deck input to changer for it to control the iPod."

Best ipod conrole

What's great about it: Easy to install. Comes with all necessary hardware. Compact & easy to "Hide Away". "iPod-like" navigation (Very Good!). What's not so great: Never found 1
"The KS-PD100 is a great add-on for compatible JVC decks. It acts and controls your iPod as if you were using the dial directly on the iPod itself. It also honors all control data you configure within iTunes. For instance, if you sync an entire album to your iPod and the tracks shouldn't have a silence between them, setting "Gapless Album" to "Yes" in iTunes results in gapless playback on your JVC. Very Nice! The only things I would have to say that I don't like about how the KS-PD100 works is that once a playlist or singular track selection has ended, there is no "one-touch" method for replaying that album or track. You have to navigate through the entire iPod tree again to find what you're looking for. It would have been nice to have the tree stay where you last left it or on the track you're currently listening to, just like the iPod does. I minor annoyance so I just deal with it. Lastly, it would have been cool to have a mobile dock included. It's a little hard to find a home for the iPod in my car."

Works Great

"Sound quality through this adapter is MUCH better than using an FM transmitter with my Ipod. The cable is long enough to allow loads of flexibility in where the Ipod can be located. I have mine in the glove compartment. Using the controls on my JVC in-dash cd player works great for common tasks like volume control, play, pause, and skipping ahead/back. For more advanced Ipod functions like navigating menus and changing settings, using the deck is not nearly as intuitive as using the Ipod's own controls. The only downside to this adapter is that while it is connected, the controls on the Ipod are disabled, so you do not have the option of using them as well. But a side benefit of this is that there is no reason to have the Ipod anywhere visible in your vehicle. So if you get out of your car, it can be left connected, out of sight, rather than having to disconnect it each time you leave the vehicle."
