Great remote with inputs for almost every system

"I went to the reward members sale on 11-9 and they had a special price of $59.99 for the event. I have been dealing with 4 remotes. With these one you can put the other ones away. The set up is extremly easy, you go online and input the way you use your equipment and the program does the rest. It even controls my Bose system. It has a great function that lets you just press one button and turns all the systems you need for an specific activity."

What's great about it: Pretty much everything you need to combined everything into one remote.
What's not so great: Initially the price, but after attending a special night for the elite Best Buy Rewards users, I picked it up cheap

"Why deal with a coffee table full of remotes...because it looks cool? I picked up one of these and replaced five remotes, even the one for my PS2 and media center TV tuner in my computer.

What's great about it: The setup interface
"I got sick and tired of 4 different remotes. I though about spending $20 on a cheap one, but decided to spend a little more on this one. The setup is really straight forward and very intuitive. I was not expecting that. The wizard will help you get setup with all your devices, even if you are not computer savvy. The USB interface makes this task a no-brainer. It looks like a lot of thought went into making this product user friendly. I am very happy with this product, and even happier I never went with the @20 remote."

What's great about it: Easy to set up, easy to use and price can't be beat for what it can do.
"I love this product! It was so easy to set up and use. Just put the disc in your computer, input your devices, plug in the remote to your computer and upload the setup to your remote. Point and click! It really is that simple. Even if the setup isn't accurate the first time around, the automatic option to troubleshoot will fix it. I really can't believe how easy it is!
I'll never go back to multiple remotes again."

What's great about it: This remote is all you'll need for all your components.
What's not so great: Small Number Buttons
"This remote controls every electrical component in the house that has an original remote to it. Updating the remote was simple as can be with its step by step procedure. Pop in the disk into your computer connect the remote and let the step by step set up take over. The hardest part to configuring this remote was to crawl behind my 62 inch TV to get the model numbers of my receiver, dvd, and cable boxes. My wife loves the fact that the moment she wants to watch TV or a DVD, it’s just the touch of button and she doesn’t have to play with 4 other remotes. The only down fall that I have with the remote is that the numbers are a little smaller than my previous remotes. But for the money this is hands down one of my greatest investments."

What's great about it: Easy to program, easy to use activity buttons, lights up when you get near it
What's not so great: sometimes does not perform all actions to run an activity
"Had great luck with this remote. Able to cut down on the immense number of remotes I had. My wife and mother can use it quite easily.
However I do get calls time to time because the remote had not done all of the actions needed to lets say, play a DVD. The TV might not go to the right input or the DVD player that was on turns off. This is all while the remote is pointed directly at the electronics so occasionally you do get these mishaps that seem to be the remote's fault. Other than that I have had no problems with it.
And I will not consider the alternatives (another brand or going back to multiple remotes)."

What's great about it: Ease of Setup Ease of use
What's not so great: a little quirky with a couple of the setups
"I love this item....We have had the remote for about 8 months now, and it is the best thing we have ever gotten, in fact we will probably be getting them as christmas gifts for relatives this year because they are so great and we get frustrated when we go over to their house and have to use 15 remotes. We had Comcast cable and DVR before, and we setup the remote and it is ready to role, no changes to the settings or anything. We have since moved to a house where we have Dish Network, we had to play with the settings a little bit, the dvr that we got the auto settings with the logitech settings forgot a dvr button, but they make it nice and easy to find and add one to the LCD screen. Would recommend this to anyone with more than 1 remote....heck even if you only have 1 remote, this one is still nice to have."

What's great about it: Easy setup; controls everything; great value
What's not so great: Buttons are a little small with not quite the right "feel" for me
"This product does everything I hoped even better than I imagined. We have a very disparate system with an AV Receiver (Onkyo), Motorola PVR device; older Hitachi TV; and Sony DVD/VCR combo. I sat down with all the model numbers and the software made setup a breeze. I can even tweak things as needed. It runs everything - I'm down from 4 remotes to 1. Everything else is in the drawer. Perfect! Even Grandpa should be able to watch TV now without the 10 year old's help when he comes to visit!
The buttons are a little small and the feel is just a little off to me, but at the price point it's just fine and I'm sure just something that I will get used to. The more expensive models probably are better in this area, but I just couldn't justify spending that much on a remote.
Overall - it works great! I'm just thrilled and would totally buy Logitech Harmony in the future should the need ever arise. Highly recommend this device to anyone."

"This is one slick unit.
Installed the software, connected the USB cable to the remote and programmed the remote to control a Toshiba Regza and DirecTV receiver within 15 minutes.
I customized a few buttons for the Toshiba TV and that was easy also.
I purchased this programmable remote because I was unable to control the TV volume using the remote provided with the DirecTV receiver.
This remote worked perfectly and additional devices such as home theater can be added easily.
I am going back to Best Buy and purchase another for all of the equipment in my media room to replace four remotes."

"Like all Harmony remotes, this one uses an easy, intuitive, online programming method. Once properly set up, Harmony remotes make your system easy for anyone to operate. No need to know which device is plugged in where, which devices need to be powered on, etc., etc.
One drawback to this model, though, is that they've done away with the dedicated, easy-to-find "Activity" buttons featured on earlier models and placed the Activity selections on the display screen. And that leads us to the second drawback -- the display is not very legible.
Still, this is a pretty handy, full-featured control at a lower price than previous Harmony offerings."

"This remote was more than i expected it to be. I origionally was thinking of getting the model that had the touch screen. But as i though about ti the touch screen was not actually worth $100.00 more to me. I am very glad i went with this remote. I set it up in about 20 minutes. After setup everything worked great and i did not have to redo anything. The wife is actually pleased with the remote and she as i am very happy that we no longer have to use 4 remotes to watch tv. This remote is a great investment and i would recommend it to anyone."

"This thing is AMAZING! I figured I'd be working with this for days to get everything set up...it took a few minutes. I did have problems on the first attempt getting it to work the channel changing for my Klipsch home theater system, but I sent an email to support and they automatically set up the correct codes so that when I hooked up my remot to my workstation the next time it updated. I just added a new audio switch to my system and it took me 5 minutes to set up and it worked perfectly.
This should make it easier for the grandparents when they show up...just pick the action they want "DVD, TV, Radio" etc. and click the button.
AMAZING!"

"I was tired of all the remotes on the coffee table. So, when I saw the excellent review of this remote at CNET, I was first in line when this remote went on sale.
Bought it, brought it home and was using it within an hour. The wizard for setting up the remote was not the best that I have used, but it was not difficult. As long as you write down how you use your equipment, including make and model; it takes very little time to input the information.
Creating the "Activities" was easy and using them is fun. I was pleased to find that you can rename your "Activities" so that they make sense to you and others.
For instance, I use the remote in both my living room and my office. The setup program will name "Activities" names like TV1, TV2, etc. So, I was glad I was able to rename the shortcut (Activity) for turning on the TV and Cable box in the living room as "TV-LR" and the office as "TV-Office".
Can't say enough good things about this remote. Only thing I can complain about is the software. The setup program takes up alot of processing time when it is not running, makes the computer sluggish. I uninstalled it after a few days.
Looking for a good remote, buy this one."
