What's great about it: 2-line modular phone line protection
What's not so great: Can't find a single outlet version of this type
This protector has phone line protection jacks and is a fairly small unit. The only similar item I know of is an Ace Hardware single outlet surge protector with network phone line jacks. After exchanging it (Ace Hardware model) I finally realized it was never going to work with my 2-line phone wiring- but the Best Buy Dynex model does- great! At first I thought it was a little big and excessive just to protect my phone (I've had two get blown out by lightning) but sure enough I managed to fill up the outlets with other devices that could use protection too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: small and able to protect where you need it
This is an excellent product. It has a small footprint (it hugs the wall outlet).You can use this for any outlet where you need protection and expandability. I am using mine in my kitchen and I love it. This can be handy anywhere.NO regrets onthis purchase and I might even buy some more of them!

What's great about it: Love the warning light if the outlet is not grounded properly
What's not so great: Can't think of anything yet
Bought the Dynex surge protector about a month ago to protect some
valuable electronics. Can't beat this unit for the price.

What's great about it: Simple plug-in, price, it just works!
What's not so great: No flaws so far!
Needed low-cost, 3 outlet surge protector and the Dynex filled the bill. Needed a protector where the outlet blades were at the top back of the surge protector (not center or bottom) so as not to block the adjacent outlet. Just plugged it in (ground & status LED's lit up) and its been working fine since day one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Simple, value for money and handy.
What's not so great: No manual. Don't understand what it means when lights on.
I travel most of the time. Surge protector that is not bulky certainly be my choice. I just wish that the package, or a simple manual would explain what the lights mean, if red and green or are they suppose to be off or change color when there is no ground or if surge is safe or whatever.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Compact, portable, great price, 3rd prong is correctly oriented to add outlets without hiding the other one
What's not so great: Can't figure out how to reset the "surge" light after a surge!
I bought this for my traveling pro video setup and use it at the office the rest of the time.
It's small, lightweight, portable and was reasonably priced.. well worth the $$$! And now with some sort of power issue in my home office, I noticed that the d "surge" light is on... only problem is, I can't figure out how to turn it off (I even unplugged it for a while).
So.. it seems to work... make sure to keep the manual (if it had one!) :-)
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Uses one outlet not two, cheap, phone line and power protection
What's not so great: No Cable Protection
I bought this to go along with our new 32" HDTV we purchased the same day. Seems to work fine with it, just plug it in the wall and then plug in your electric devices. As simple as a surge protector can get.
I would recommend this to a friend!
