What's great about it: great game that is challenging
What's not so great: a great game that at times may be too challenging, but is that really a con?
"I bought this game about a year ago, along with my DS Lite. I finished the main course of the game in couple of months, and thought there was nothing more to do. Boy could I be wrong. Every level of the eight worlds has three large coins that are hidden. These coins can unlock new routes to power us and new levels. A year after "finishing" the game, I picked it up to realize that I did not find every coin. For the last couple of weeks I've been playing the game while waiting for a class to start, and I am still no where even close to being done!
Total awesome."

What's great about it: Classic feel, new levels, new additions
"I got this game when it was first released, and it had me hooked. It plays just like the oldermario games, only it looks better. They definately need to make another mario game like this. Buy this game and/or mario kart if you are new to the DS."

Great game for DS

What's great about it: different power ups, tons of levels
What's not so great: game was a little short and easy to beat
"This game was really fun. I like all of the new things that mario and luigi can do and all of the new power ups. The only negative is how short the game was and it was kinda easy. But i would still recommend this to anyone."

What's great about it: Lots!
What's not so great: You can only play this game with nintendo DS
"I looooove this game..I couldnt believe when it came out a couple of years ago, I had to go get it right away!!
But with new things coming out all the time, I'm not into Nintendo DS but things like WII and it's sad that you cant play this game on wii. I really wish I could play it on wii...I think a lot people would love that too!"

What's great about it: Great Graphics for a left-to-right scroller game.
What's not so great: None at all!!!
"This is one of Mario's new releases which did score a #1 top hit for the Nintendo Ds.With its unique gameplay and controls theres no telling how great a Mario game can be.
Controls:
The controls are very nice and useful.Easy to use stylus lets you go beyond any Mario game.It's just great!!!
Game:
Ever since this game came out, it remained the same price as $34.99.Which, I can't complain because this is one of Mario best releases yet,along with Mario Hoops 3 on 3 and Mario Party Ds.The gameplay like I said,is just amazing.Very fascinating for a Ds game,which you hardly find these days.
In-game features:
The mini-games are very ineractive and yet,so addicting for all Mario Fans.With the ability to be able to use wi-fi and connect with another friend nearby...and being able to use the stylus.Single Player though,you hardly use the stylus,which is not that bad when it comes to mini-games.
Overall:
This is a big heads up to all Mario Fans.This game is outstanding from graphics to gameplay.This is one of his best releases yet.So,if you happen to run into this game and you dont have it,I recommend you get it.5/5!!!"

"this game i bought is very incredible to play with excitement and joy to either have on the road or in your own house while playing this game you can use touch features on the touch screen and enjoy many different capabilities with it (I enjoy playing it EVERYDAY-EVERYWHERE i go)!!"

What's great about it: Loved the minigame and 2 player option, great graphics, quick loading
What's not so great: Slow loading when playing with 2 players (and other player doesnt have this game)

"This game is a lot of fun, I can remember playing Super Mario Bros. on the first Nintendo system when I was a kid. There are some cool new additons to this game. My nieces love to play it too and have almost beat it. Lots of fun, would definitely recommend this game."

What's great about it: good graphics, same gameplay concepts
What's not so great: touch screen only used for items and minigames, no yoshi, mario vs. luigi lags often,
"This game is been around for a long time and has never changed that much. Usually, the storyline is the same and the graphics improve slightly. That's a different story for this game. The backgrounds are colorful, the map is 3D and the fireballs actually have flames around them. You can also teleport to different maps easily using the touch screen. I love this game although it does get boring after you've beaten the game. The only fun after that are the minigames and Mario vs. Luigi, but you need more than one player for that. Other than that, this is a good one-player game whether you've played mario before, or you're just starting to play."
