What's not so great: Touchy volume controls.
The clean setting cannot be beat. 40 watts is more than enough for most gigs. The overdrive/distortion is a little weak but with a good pedal and the amp set on clean, it sound great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: the clean channel, reverb and presence controls
What's not so great: haven't found anything "not so great" It simply ROCKS!!
I've been looking at this amp for a while. I shopped around and played a lot of other amps in its class and I always came back to the Deluxe. The clean channel is absolutely amazing! True Fender Bliss! the reverb and presence controls are fantastic as well. at 40 watts it has plenty of power. I had the amp on 5 in my living room and it knocked a light fixture off in my kitchen....Sweet! this amp is very touch sensitive and responds great to the picking attack. I have heard that people don't like the drive channel but I think it sounds great too, although I prefer to push OD/DIST pedals through the clean channel. all said and done this amp kicks some serious butt!! you will not be dissapointed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Oh my!! The clean tone is amazing!! Sounds great with my overdrive!! Plenty of volume!
What's not so great: Built in overdrive is a bit fizzy sounding. Recent $$ increase
Do not underestimate the output of this amp. Even at 40W, there is PLENTY of volume to spare. The clean tone on this amp is incredible! I use it with a PRS SC245, Gibby Les Pauls & 335, and a custom Telecaster and it sounds great with everything I have plugged into it. Takes effects pedals very well and sounds great with my overdrive/distortion pedals (OCD, Timmy, Fulldrive 2).
The built in overdrive channels leave a bit to be desired, but the clean channel makes up for this shortcoming. I just use the clean channel and let the pedals do the overdriving. Fortunately I got this amp before the prices raised so the cost was less of a factor, but I would still recommend it. I haven't played anything in the price range that I have liked any better.
