Okay product but not great

What's great about it: Can clean if using the right cleaners
What's not so great: CAN NOT FIND PARTS EASILY
"The Hoover can clean but I would not buy again. To hard to find parts. When you do find them they are very expensive when compairing to the total cost of the machine. Its better to just buy another one. After awhile, the tanks that hold the water and cleaning solutions gaskets leaks like crazy at the bottom and I don't leave liquids in the tanks when not in use. I have bought two replacement buckets so far. To buy this part it is approx. $45 to $50 dollars plus shipping! Maybe I just get the lemons. Not sure. I like Hoover but I would not buy another machine until they change the design to the bucket part that holds the water and solution.
Otherwise, the machine is nice. It cleans just like any other system would if you use the right solutions."

What's great about it: love the stair attachment and the suction is great
What's not so great: it's heavy to carry around when you have stairs :{
"I bought my Hoover just before Thanksgiving so I am a lil late on my review.....I live in Ga where there is plenty of rusty colored clay than just dirt so when it rains and you have a dog and kids coming and going the carpet gets really ugly looking which does not take long. Bought Hoover and was LOVING the results it gave my carpet especially my stairs where the traffic was heavier. I had compliments from everyone who came in my home that have seen my carpet before and have seen the clean results now. I actually wanted to lay on the carpet for once knowing that it was clean :D anyway, awesome steam cleaner would recommend....."

What's great about it: Cleans my house!
What's not so great: A little heavy
"I purchased this machine as well as the Hoover cylconic at Best Buy last night. I was a little hesitant about buying this machine after reading some of the negative ratings, but I'm very happy I did!
Putting this machine together was easy! I can tell the machine worked because the dirty water container was very gross!
I am very satisfied with my purchase!!"

Best Carpet Cleaner Ever

What's great about it: Easy to use, Cleans well, Light weight
"I love this cleaner I have gotten it replaced twice because the wheels stop spinning. But I bought the service warranty so I've gotten a new one. I've used some of the other cleaners and they don't compare to this one. This cleaner cleans as well as having a professional come in and clean it. It's price is afforable."

What's great about it: Cleans everything including my tile, easy to clean, the carpet dries so fast
What's not so great: It shows me how dirty my carpet really is
"I love this cleaner! If you are in the market...go buy this right now. I have carpet and tile, and the Steamvac All Terrain cleans it all. My favorite part is that I don't have to throw away dirty pads every time I clean! My carpet looks good all the time now."

What's great about it: cleans great, easy to operate/fill/empty
What's not so great: heavy
"Previously had a Bissel pro heat that worked pretty well.Lasted about 3 years till I lifted it upstairs with water in it and spilt on the motor. Had a few minor problems - leakage, handheld brush broke off. Went out and bought the Hoover all terrain since we have a lot of tile also. When I got home, I read some of these reviews and almost returned it. Decided to try it and was very pleased! I recleaned carpets I had just cleaned with my bissel and it did so much better and removed lots of dirt. I had no problems with leakage, or putting the clean water container on that I have read on some other reviews. I certainly recommend it."

What's not so great: Everything!
"This is the worst Carpet cleaner i have ever owned. very cheap. 1st use the dirty water tank Handel broke the brushes do not hardly touch the carpet or floor. a bottle of resolve works better. i am scared to touch it because something may break on it! BIG WASTE OF MONEY."

"After careful research I found that half of the reviews said the same thing about how this product breaks. But I decide to give Hoover the benefit of the doubt. They do make great vacuums but as far as carpet cleaners Hoover (pardon the pun) SUCKS!
After just a single use my Hoover carpet cleaner began to leak water back onto the carpet both from the dirty water tank, clean tank, AND the detergent bottle.
As I began to remove the dirty water tank the tank SPLIT!!! and water water everywhere. The latches locking the dirty tank in place also broke. The spin brushes don't spin nearly fast enough or make sufficient contact with the carpet to agitate the fibers thoroughly. All the same problems I had were just like the other reviewers described and with the same exact parts in the same place.
Needless to say I was furious! I just paid $300 for this thing and it couldn't even last through a single use!! YOU SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT AND ALL HOOVER CARPET CLEANERS AT ALL COSTS!!
I immediately returned it to the store and exchanged it for a much much cheaper carpet cleaner made by Bissell. Much cheaper but Bissell knows more about carpet cleaners than Hoover. The one I got even has more suction power and better agitation than Hoover."

A bit troublesome

What's great about it: Beautiful attachements, seperate compartments for clean and dirty water
What's not so great: Takes time to assemble, doesn't suction water well
"I could have made a mistake in assembling it which is probably why it didn't suction water well but that brings us back to the point that it is not easy to assemble in my personal opinion."

Love the performance, when it isn't broken

"When the steam vacs came out, I was one of the first to run out and buy one, of which I found it to be fabulous and very easy to use. I was recommending it to everyone! Then as some time went on, a small part broke and so I brought it back to be serviced. To my suprise, they couldn't repair it but instead, gave me the option of picking out the latest and greatest Hoover Steam Vac, of which I picked out the one with the similar price. At first I thought great, a brand new steam vac, but as time went on and 4 New Hoover Steam Vacs later- all with its own separate issues, I am not finding it so Fabulous! The latest thing that happened was after a one time use, the liquid soap dispenser fell off and the bottom brushes stopped rotating. I take care of my steam vac with the utmost care and am puzzled each time with its problems. I do say I keep going back to the Hoover because of its great performance, but am tired of bringing it in to be serviced.
My next exchange may be a different Brand!"

"We have rental properties and this steam cleaner is a life saver. It is heavy to lift but easy to move around the room. It does not have it's own heat source for the water but if you put the water in hot... it seems to work great."

"This product is amazing. I never used a carpet cleaner before in my house. I own a dyson, and I thought that got my carpets clean, however this unit pulled more dirt out of my carpet. It was amazing. It's easy to use and durable.
Some of my favorite features of this unit:
A) Tanks on the outside, easy for me to get to and clean and replace liquids.
B) Auto Rinse- I feel that I get all of the soap out of carpet
C) Auto height adjustment- the unit adjusts the height automatically
D) Heated Cleaning- I was told by a best buy associate that this gets around 90% of the water out of the carpet. That's way better than I was expecting. The associate told me that Hoover blows the heat off of the moter onto the carpet to spead up the drying time.
The biggest downside is the weight of the unit, but they are all that heavy. All I need now is a Floormate so I can do my kitchens and bathrooms!"

Worst carpet cleaner EVER

"I had a Hoover Carpet cleaner for years. Was time to replace it and get one that would scrub. I wasn't excited about paying $300.00 but had been happy with my last Hoover. Within a month or so I realized this was the biggest piece of junk I had ever purchased. The plastic pieces kept breaking and falling off. The handle on the bottom tank broke, the lever for the height adjustment broke. the plugs from the upper tank broke. This is only within the first month or so. After dealing with this for about a year I broke down and purchassed the cheaper unit for under $200.00. The cheaper one is much like the unit I used for years. I am much happier with the new purchase."
