Heating Element Broke

"Like the other review with 1 star, I also bought this dryer in November of 2006, and sadly less than 2 years later, the heating element broke. I will not purchase a whirlpool dryer again, a product should not break in less than 2 years. It spins but does not heat or dry the clothes, which is what a dryer is for... so now it is useless...""

Dryer's Heating element Broke

What's not so great: Heating Element breaks!!

What's great about it: Quiet
What's not so great: the motor stopped after 15 months
"I'm very disappointed in this purchase. I did alot of comparison shopping before I purchased this dryer. I also had my previous dryer for 10yrs. So I purchased a whirlpool thinking it was a long lasting dryer, when to my shock after having it for 15 months it stopped working. I had a repairman come in and look at it and he told me the motor had to be replaced. I'm upset and will not purchase another whirlpool product."

"Just got this dryer yesterday and am very happy with it. It looks really nice, it runs real quiet and it gets the clothes dried in a short amount of time! I would definitely recommend this dryer to anyone!"

"This is a great purchase. I bought this with my boyfriend as our first dryer for our apartment. It's absolutely great! Dries anything in record time and is very quiet compared to most dryers. It even gets all my extra large and thick bath towels dry in one load! Definitely worth the money."

"this dryer is very nice....it cuts down the drying time into half compared to front loading dryer...i had the front loading one..not only did it give greasy stains on my shirts, it took so long to dry the items..i exchanged it with this model...i am very happy...excellent job it does...."
