Like the other review with 1 star, I also bought this dryer in November of 2006, and sadly less than 2 years later, the heating element broke. I will not purchase a whirlpool dryer again, a product should not break in less than 2 years. It spins but does not heat or dry the clothes, which is what a dryer is for... so now it is useless..."

We bought this dryer in November of 2006, and sadly less than 2 years later, the heating element broke. We had someone come look at it and he told us that we were better off buying a new dryer. I will not purchase a whirlpool dryer again, a product should not break in less than 2 years. It spins but does not heat or dry the clothes, which is what a dryer is for... so now it is useless...
What's not so great: Heating Element breaks!!

I'm very disappointed in this purchase. I did alot of comparison shopping before I purchased this dryer. I also had my previous dryer for 10yrs. So I purchased a whirlpool thinking it was a long lasting dryer, when to my shock after having it for 15 months it stopped working. I had a repairman come in and look at it and he told me the motor had to be replaced. I'm upset and will not purchase another whirlpool product.
What's great about it: Quiet
What's not so great: the motor stopped after 15 months
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just got this dryer yesterday and am very happy with it. It looks really nice, it runs real quiet and it gets the clothes dried in a short amount of time! I would definitely recommend this dryer to anyone!

Replaced older dryer with broken belt. Works great, a lot better drying time then old one. Great value for price paid!

GREAT DEAL WOULD SUGGEST TO EVERYONE! this along with the dryer is a perfect combo for an inexpensive alternative to all of those other high priced units that do just the same thing!
What's great about it: Very good price you get a steal with this and the matching dryer

This is a great purchase. I bought this with my boyfriend as our first dryer for our apartment. It's absolutely great! Dries anything in record time and is very quiet compared to most dryers. It even gets all my extra large and thick bath towels dry in one load! Definitely worth the money.
What's great about it: great all around dryer
What's not so great: nothing I can find

this dryer is very nice....it cuts down the drying time into half compared to front loading dryer...i had the front loading one..not only did it give greasy stains on my shirts, it took so long to dry the items..i exchanged it with this model...i am very happy...excellent job it does....
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the best dryer ever!! lt's like having the laundry mat in my own house! You can dry super loads and still used the energy efficient way! It drys the clothes all the way and you dont even know its running, best part about it, drys it in record time!!!!!
