"i got this for my Birth day in 2007 and i have played on it every day since then it's the best purchase i ever made! (besides my bird chickens dog rabbits mice and horse of course)but once in a while i turn it on and i have a game in it and it says that there is no game card inserted so i just turn it off take out the game put the game back in and turn the DS on again and it works. the only game that that has happened with was the bee movie game. but still i would rather go outside and play with my chickens and in the mud then play on it thats just the type of person i am. but it still is pretty awesome!"

What's great about it: portable, on-the-go-fun, runs both DS and GameBoy games,durable
What's not so great: it would probably be a good idea to get a screen protector
"Best portable gaming system ever! Totally worth the $129. Great games like Nintendogs, Supermario64DS, Naruto Ninja council 3, Avatar the last Airbender. I've dropped it like 7 times and it still works, It went on vacation overseas and kept me game-happy the whole way without breaking. It comes with a charger and spare styluses incase you loose them. It would probably be a good idea to get a screen protecter incase you get carried away and overdo it with the touchscreen. Scratches aren't fun.

What's great about it: Touch screen very precise, very bright screens, durable plastic
What's not so great: White color can get dirty easily
"I thought the Nintendo DS was like a laptop-shaped Gameboy Advance SP so I didn't buy the earlier model. When the Lite came out, I still procrastinated until a couple of weeks ago. When I got it, it was very sleek and extremely bright. When I was playing in the night and the lights were off, the bright screens lit up the whole room. The charger is very compact and the indicator to show that it's charging doesn't interfere with showing the power level. The plastic shell of the DS is very durable in withstanding scratches and dents. The only problem is that when dirt or smudges come on the screens, it's very noticable so you have to clean them often. Also, after about a couple of months, your buttons can get gray with dirt and the L and R buttons can also get dirty, and it's hard to clean them off. Other than that, it's a very reliable system."

"i had a ds for a while now,
and it's great!
they're some games that are pretty bad,
but most of them are really good,
sure you cant go on the web like a psp,
but some games let's you connect online (wi-fi)
and play with other people, or get some updates, mini-games,ect.
it's battery last pretty long time, easy to carry around, and the touch pad was just a great idea!"

"I got this for my kids for christmas when it first came out and ever since then they have been addicted to there DS. "My son got this 2 years ago when it came out. He saved up for a long time to buy this and after 2 years it broke the hinge at the power botton. The plastic cracked. You would be surprised how thin the plastic is that holds the screen up. It has been great, he loved it and used it spearingly. It made a lot of our flight and car travels much easier. He wants another one - $129.00 for 2 yaers of use only when we travel I guess it is worth it?!"

"This is a pretty good system and you can play a lot of the Mario games on it as well as some other good games. Some of the games dont have very good graphics. The ds does have good multiplayer and the sceen is very bright. I would recommend this system to someone who like the nintendo products or who likes Mario games."

What's great about it: Solid construction, lasting value, many great games, unique
What's not so great: Wouldn't mind better graphics but not complaining, find it a little less ergonomic than the regular DS
"The Nintendo DS lite is definitely worth the price. You won't find the vast plethora of games that the DS has to offer on any other system. I enjoy that the games range from young to old and many of them have plenty of replay value. The lite has some perks and a few downsides. It's really subjective which one will fit you, I find pros and cons to both. Overall the DS Lite is a little better though. You definitely won't be disappointed either way though!"
