What's great about it: very similar to my old draft N router
What's not so great: trial and error of getting the right channel to work on all computers with good connections
Bought it at the store knowing the outlet price was $37 cheaper! Like I said I came from an old Belkin router. So the set up was very similar. Since I have an older draft n desktop card, a new N USB adapter and then a G laptop its been a challenge to get them to sync and speed up. I'm still trying to find the ultimate channel for speed and connectivity for all to use. Many options but an older N card and a G kinda of limit what I can do. I'd bet on a pure N network, this thing would hall!
Would I recommend it? Too soon to tell but I do see an increase speed and in bandwidth. Whether or not it stays that way is the question.

I bought this a couple of months ago to replace an older Belkin router that needed to be reset too often. In the following month or so, we suffered from problems sending e-mail, problems with XBox live and a few others. I was reluctant to blame the router as my previous Belkin was pretty good. I finally got fed up and did some serious debugging. All efforts pointed to the router. Remove the router, each problem was gone when connecting directly to my cable modem. The problems also disappeared when I reinstalled my old Belkin router. Belkin tech support threw up their hands. Too late to get my money back, I bought a highly rated (per Best Buy customer reviews) NetGear Range Max. All problems disappeared and performance increased. The NetGear was also less expensive and was included on the XBox Live compatibility list. Sorry Belkin, but Best Buy should not even be selling this product to good customers like me.

What's great about it: Easy to install

I bought this router in hopes that that the N speed would make a difference, but never saw it. With firmware installed on unit it would disconnect about every 11 hours. Speaking with their tech support I installed their beta firmware which seem to fix that problems, but caused the routers wireless to no longer work with all my wireless units. Slow connection with ps3 and partial connection on Xbox live. Would not purchase again if I knew then what I know now...

This router is great! It was an easy setup and is great for my gaming on Xbox Live. I have 2 wired computer 2 wireless laptops and 1 wired xbox 1 wireless wii and it handles it all at once. I would recommend this item to anyone who has multiple computers and games a lot!

I purchased this rt, thinking it would be a good up grade from my WRT54G linksys, I thought Wrong!, my Family that live about 50 yards from me Complained that they lost signal from me after i changed to this Rt. I tried setting it up 5 diffent ways locating it diffent areas of the room near a window away from a window, up high and table hight.,they are not connect!,I also have 2 Xbox 360's I can only run 1 @ a time, if connect to Xbox live, other Drops and both, I guess i'll have to stay with Linksys.

What's great about it: Setup Process was Easy to connecting two Routers. Did without the CD. Right it works great
What's not so great: Connectivity was Issue after connecting two Routers.
I recommend Belkin N1 Router for courage but connectivity will be an issue when joining two routers together. I setup Belkin N1 as Access Point.

What's great about it: PC is okay
What's not so great: Problems connecting to xbox live.
ever since i bought this router it had problems connecting to xbox live. i could figure it out until today. this router is always giving me truble with conection to xbox live. and when i do get on xbox live it wont let me download any of my shows because it has trouble connecting. it also has a bad NAT system. the NAT is what always gives me problems. this was okay for PC but not good for xbox or xbox 360.

What's great about it: Nice External display

I bought this router and returned it the following day.
Unlike other Belkin products, this router failed to perform even the most common tasks. i.e. Wireless connectivity. This router has many issues with its firmware to the on screen software. Its issues expand in many different angles.
For instance, if you log on to the settings of the router and exit the page without logging off, you'll have problems logging back in. Therefore, in each case you must restart the router by unplugging the power cable. Everytime you change a setting, you have to restart. Due to firmware issues, the router does not stay connected to the internet for more than an hour. I have read a couple of online reviews where people talk about having to provide a wired router. Then you have to re-route the connection to this router to have wireless internet, otherwise it will just keep trying to connect to the internet.

I had tried upgrading the firmware to the newer one on the Belkin website numerous times, but the router still failed.
On top of that, the router keeps blocking your home network if you have a network setup for sharing and streaming files and video.
Now I know why Belkin has a lifetime warranty on this device.

What's great about it: Easy installation, Fast, excellent speed
What's not so great: Laptop drops connection if restarted from Hibernation
I bought this one from Best Buy and returned home almost by 10:00 PM. So I wasn't sure if I should connect at night as I earier had lots of trouble with Netgear. But this one was up and running in 30 min. after opening the box. I initially didn't set up security. I wasn't sure how long it may take and how much my laptop wireless USB may support. But when I did setup the security, it was very easy and it still runs both computer and laptop without trouble even while running online vedio clips or playing online songs.
Only when I close the laptop and reopen the screen/cover, it keeps showing signal connected and dropped again and again. All I do is disconnect my wireless USB (Linksys) and re-connect. And it starts working again as normal. It connects to PSP without trouble. My house is not very huge but I will be shortly moving to larger home. Hopefully, this one would still work fine.

What's not so great: Difficult compatibility on some computers
This router is a great one, with good range and quality of connection. The only problem I had was in connecting my roommates computers, they never would connect. Probably just a firmware issue

What's great about it: easy set up

This router is ok for computer, PSP, and nintendo products with an ok signal and set up. Display on front is nice to have, but can be too simplistic and the lights look like they are on representing a connection when they are truly not. Xbox live users avoid this product. NAT problems, meaning that if you try to join games with friends this router will not be able to join. It will just give you can't connect to host errors. Once you turn NAT off on the router set up you cannot access router settings at all again, only way to recover settings is to reste the router by pressing stupid reset button on the back and reinstalling router settings. I will be trying the linksys equivalent next and will see if that will be better. Router was ok for just simple connections NOT XBOX360 LIVE COMPATABLE!!!!!

my computer is upstairs and my ps3 is downstairs. i tried to find some feedback on ranges but could't. so i talked to a couple of friends who had a linksys wrt54 g and bought one. set up was as easy as the belkin. initially i had a reading of 80% on the linksys. but for unkown reasons my ps3 crashed after 2 min. online and i never got back on. i fooled around with this thing for an hour and never got passed a 50%. so i returned it and purchased the belkin n1. what a difference. now my ps3 has a 90% reading and the lowest has only been 86%. if range is important to you, avoid my frustration and spend a little more money. as in most cases in the computer or high tech world you get what you pay for

I had thought all routers we're the same until I purchased a new computer about a year ago. I had a Linksys router and they are not compatable with Macs. After some research, I was told about the Belkin N1 wireless. I went to Best Buy, spoke to a non-eager, but very, very helpful associate ( I HATE EAGER SALES PEOPLE....SO PUSHY), who was very pleasant and made my decision easy. Problems solved. I would recommend this Belkin N1 Wireless to anyone especially those who have Mac computer(s).

What's great about it: If you have MAC belkin is the way to go
I have a MAC book and I used to have the LINKSYS wireless router and I was never ever able to keep a wireless signal, finally I went into Best Buy and talked to one of the Geek Squad members and they informed me that MAC was more compatible with Belkin so I bought the router and have not had any problems since!!!

What's great about it: Looks good, easy setup
What's not so great: very poor signal for the price
Setup was easy, my wired desktop was connected within several minutes of opening the box. My PS3 got a clean signal for the first hour, as well as my laptop, then later that night absolutely nothing! I put my laptop right next to the darn thing and nothing (This might be the N1 laptop card though). Anyways, I'm returning both today. I don't recommend this purchase.

What's great about it: it looks good
What's not so great: its settup is easy but not as easy as the belkin g,
i had the belkin wireless g router first and it worked ok. i tryed to connect a ps2, nintendo wii, and a computer at the same time with comcast internet and it kept kicking me off the nintendo wii. So i bought this belkin wireless n router and tryed to connect all three items again and it did the same thing. then i tryed to connect a xbox 360 wired and a wireless dell insperon and i was like 20 feet away and its signal strength was poor it wouldnt even connect most of the time and the laptop has a wireless n network card installed in it already. this product SUCKS i wouldnt recommend it to anyone. i also happened to connect an apple ipod touch to it and it worked ok. if you want my advice DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT. i will not buy this product again

this router was awesome for an 1 to 2 hours i thought i made a great choice then later that night on xbox 360 it was so slow just to connect to a game on call of duty 4 took at least 15 minutes by then id have many kills so today i am returning this router and buying a d-link extreme gaming router ill write a review on that later

What's great about it: Super Fast, Hardly ever loses connection, nice display
What's not so great: Black glossy surface can get scratched easily, dust magnet
About two years ago I purchased this router. First of all, I was amazed with setup. It was so easy, and all the wires were labeled, it's easy to setup even if you're not that good with computers. The router worked perfectly, up until about two weeks ago, I had a problem, but it was my fault. I interrupted the router when it was updating its firmware. This router has a LIFETIME warranty, so I simply packed my router in a box, and shipped it to Belkin (no reciept needed!). In less than a week I got a brand new router! I get about 216 Mbps with my computer in my family room, whereas with my old one (Linksys) I got 54 Mbps! I love Belkin and will always try to buy their products when I can.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I would give this product zero stars if that were possible. I have a Dell laptop with an Intel agn wireless card and Windows Vista. I spent several hours on the phone with tech support, and the closest we came to success was a brief connection between router and laptop with no internet access. I returned product for a Linksys router and had it up and running in 5 minutes.
