"This game is very realistic, it is a must get if you are into this sort of thing. But if you are more of a need for speed person, then this game is not your taste. Because every turn you go to fast around you will skid out of control and crash, and once you crash your car isn't the same for the rest of the race.
This is an overall fun game though, it has every car make and model, and you can customize every part on the car from engine to rims to exhaust and transmission."

"For the true car and driving enthusiast, Forza 2 delivers and will leave a skidmark-style grin on your face. It successfully merges great single elements from other driving games, such as damage modeling, car customization, car aesthetic design, and simulation/arcade-style driving to create a unique package that is surprisingly fresh in a genre that is done far too often. The genuine car lover will have much to gawk over with over 300 detailed and near-photorealistic cars; not to mention the thousands of layers of paint and other design schemes accessible to make the vehicle a truly personal possession, albeit virtual. Although many hours will be spent putting your best vehicles and driving skills to the test on the racetrack, almost twice as long will be spent custom-tuning, painting, and detailing your ride, which is surprisingly fun and easy to do. After your car looks and performs the way you want (or hope), the racetrack is where you prove yourself as a competent driver with, hopefully, an equally competent car. Forza 2 again triumphs with a driving experience that feels just about right. There is some damage modeling in the game (which goes beyond simple aesthetic disfigurement), the graphics move along at a steady frame rate, and the controls feel superior to any racing game I have played on any platform (although that might lend a nod to the Xbox 360's controller which allows for pressure-sensitive throttle and brake controls via the trigger buttons). All of these wonderful strengths of the game are transferred to players of varying skill levels, from novice to expert. Driving controls such as traction control, anti-lock braking, displaying the optimal driving path on the track help make this great simulator accessible to everyone. There are a few minor drawbacks, which are very minor and by no means should deter anyone from this title. One of the drawbacks is the highly pixilated texture on non-vehicular surfaces while driving. Another is the strange option of accessing your "home" in the menu at any time by pressing the "RB" button. Although it never gets in the way, it certainly would have been a bit more useful to bring up your garage with that button instead of a lengthy listing of your driving statistics. Still, these are only minor complaints and will not cause a single palpitation in the racing heart of a car enthusiast while playing this game."

What's great about it: Alot of Cars from many classes What's not so great: Crash simulation
"The driving has a real feel to it which is probably why some people don't like it. You suffer from your mistakes say if you are taking a turn to hard in a GT500 (which is obviously RWD) and the back tires slip off of the track and onto the grass then you my friend are about to spin out of control unless you are really good at driving and can calm the car back down without panicing and just pushing buttons.
The only thing I didn't like about it was the crashes. I can go backwards on the track and smash my 99' Civic Si into a 69 Camaro and it will damage the car and the engine but I can still drive it and finish the race. The only problem is my steering may be off which would make the car pull and the engine would be lacking power so it wouldn't be as fast. I wish that this kind of mistake would total the car and you would be disqualified.
Ovewr all I would recommend this game to anybody and Im sure that they would enjoy it as long as they truley are a car enthusiest, however if you are just looking for another arcade style game (i.e. Juiced 2) then this may not be what you are looking for."

"Well, let me start off by saying that the only reason I am giving this game a 3/5 is because it let me down, big time. I was expecting so much more out of the game, and I will say that I am glad that I never bought it. I played the demo, and I said "Meh its a demo the final version will be better". I was wrong. The final version is/was a let down for me. Compared to other racing games, this is probably at the lowest of the pile. Dirt owns the life out of this game. Enough Said."

"I was a PGR fan (and still am) but thought that from a realism point of view no other games could compare... Until Forza 2.
This game is amazing! So amazing in fact, that I shelled out $120 for the Microsoft steering wheel! (which is well worth it too I might add). The career game play is outstanding with every aspect of your car being upgradeable. On road realism is unmatched as well. This is definitely NOT one of those pedal to the medal all the way around the track games. It takes some time to adapt real-world driving concepts to a video game but if you keep that mindset you'll be racing in no time! I would buy this again in a heartbeat if it were lost or stolen!
(P.S. my "track selection" con above is being addressed by xbox live now as you can download content for a small price)"

"Great game and a must have for any racing simulation fan. It is cool how the damage can effect your car visually and mechanically. If you turn the game on manual shifting and shift poorly you can even damage your car! The game plays fairly easy and the leaderboards are setup for each track. The leaderboards are extremely detailed - you can see what difficulty settings your friends used and what cars at what upgrade level as well as their time for the track. If you like simulation racing this game is for you but don't expect an arcade style racer."

What's great about it: Each car handles differently. Unless you upgrade your vehicle's performance, you WILL get frustrated What's not so great: Not much variety in regards to tracks.
"This game's main feature is the "Career" feature. If you are used to games like "Need For Speed" or "Juiced" - this game is NOT for you. Forza 2 goes to any length to sticking close to realism and detail. When you upgrade your car's performance in "Career" mode - you DO notice the difference in handling and performance. Drifting is very difficult in this game, in fact, the only thing you can do in regards to sharp hairpin turns is slow down and ease up on the gas pedal (just like you would in real life). It's as very real as it gets. You start off with very limited choices in regards to cars but the more you win, the more cars you can unlock. The options for unlimited but the tracks are. I hope there is a feature where you can download more tracks online via Xbox Live. Other than that, this is by far the most realistic and best racing simulation game for the Xbox 360 bar none."

"The game is great for racing fanatics, who want the game to be realistic. The wide selection of cars is awsome and they all sound great on the track when racing. The graphics are good and very well cut. The game play is fun but gets old after a while of play. The music in this game is horrific and is terribley annoying, and the game takes time for you to make alot of money. The online mode is not the best and gets boring quickly. For the people who are looking for the fast paced street racing you may want to stick to need for speed. ONE LAST THING THOSE OF YOU LOOKING FOR EASY ACHIEVEMENT POINTS, THIS GAME IS NOT FOR YOU!!!"

"If you are into racing simulations this is the best that is out for the Xbox 360. This game is definitely on par with the GT series on the Playstation 2. The car edit feature is absolutely limitless and you can even go as far as putting Ferrari engines in other cars. The absolute selling feature of this game is the online auction. The game contains a Ebay like feature where you can bid on cars that other gamers are selling in the auction. You can also sell your own cars in this auction. If you use the car edit feature you can lock your car designs before you sell them so that the person buying your car has to keep the paint job you gave it. Or else they lose the paint job if they do decide to paint it. The racing in this game is also very well done and those who are not fans of real car physics should stay away as braking is a must. The assortment of vehicles is very nice as well and if you have Xbox live they have more cars for download online. A great purchase for anyone that is a fan of simulation car racing."

"Forza 2 has to be the best racing/driving simulator available on the Xbox 360. The graphics are beautiful and make the game even more stunning. There are so many cars to choose from in this game I still haven’t seen them all! The cars are customizable from color, to engine components, to tires and wheels. Remember this is a driving simulator so there will be some skill involved and braking as well! There are various levels of skill you can set to fit your ability. Hands down this is the best driving simulator on the market for next gen-gaming consoles."
