What's great about it: size, stylish, good sound
What's not so great: center channel underperforms, definitely need added subwoofer
"I bought these speakers about 3 months ago to complement the rest of my entertainment system. I did my research and made sure they were highly recommended, which they were and I can vouch for. The speakers look good, are small enough to hide anywhere, and are easy to mount on the wall. The sound quality is very good based on their size. I used monster wire and the sound is clear and free of distortion. Cons are: you need a decent subwoofer(understandably), the center channel underperforms, if used with a high end receiver, expect a loud clicking noise when you fast forward dvd/br. Also, these speakers perform better in a smaller room. I cant say that they are the best speakers I have ever heard, but I am pleased with them and do not plan to buy new ones. The speakers have a 5 year manufacturers warranty."

"Listen...these are easily the best speakers you can buy for the size...they sound awesome and look awesome...I bought the 5 nanos and the 8" Mirage sub for $399 on sale in the winter..probably one of the best purchase's i have made....I have a 9 channel (dual sub output) reciever...so my next purchase is a center channel, another sub, and one more nano for the 7 speaker sound...after that, I'll buy new windows"

What's great about it: Decent sounding speakers.
What's not so great: Not as bad as Bose, but still a bit of a scam.
"OMNIPOLAR 360° sonic dispersion pattern? That's just a fancy way to say "We pointed the speaker up". The "technology" that you are paying for could buy you a nice set of Klipsch's. You can get the same "360 degree" effect from ANY speaker simply by pointing it at the ceiling, besides, when is the last time you felt the urge to constantly move around your living room while watching a movie? Speakers are put up against a wall or in a corner for a reason, they are never in the middle of your living room with your friends and family standing around them, that's why it's called surround sound, because the sound surrounds you, your not supposed to surround it. A friend of mine did buy a set of these, and when I pointed all of this out to him, he felt pretty stupid.
I've been in the audio biz for a while and don't get me wrong, these do sound nice, but they sound a lot better if you point them TOWARDS you."

"I was looking for a great sounding 5.1 speaker package that was with in my budget ($750 for speakers & sub) and i struck gold when i found these 5 speakers that were on sale for $499 and came with a free!!! mirage 8''in. sub the system is hooked up to a $800 receiver which helps it sounds amazing in my living room with anything we watch,,blu-ray, video games and tv....can't go wrong with a 5 year warranty on speakers either..."

Big Sound From Small Package

"I connected these "Napoleons" in little time. I love the gold plated binding post and the detachable speaker covers. I read a lot of reviews for this set before I bought em and I must say that everything said was true. They sound just as good as they did at Magnolia when I auditioned them. Very flexible as far as set up goes. Great sound stage for my music and just as good with movies. I've only had these speakers for a day now so I will wait till their broken in to be more critical. I have heard many good speakers but these are special because of their ability to disappear and really create an immersive listening experience that you can't get from other speakers for this Price range. Mirage is a good brand"

"These Nanosat pound for pound match up, but the cost is better, then what I see at Best Buy on Bose, Kiplsch, Sony, etc. I went from dated Sony's, to the Mirage, and the detail the speaker delivers on the sound is outstanding."

What's not so great: no faceplate
"My family room opens up into my kitchen with my 5.1 rear speakers in between the two. With the 360 pattern design of the Mirage speakers even though I am outside of the surround sound center the sound quality remains top quality. I can stand in my kitchen and not lose any quality. The set does come with brackets but no faceplates. It was easy to mount my speakers but the speaker wire conduit was not covered."

What's great about it: Excellent sound - even at high volume, Mounting Brackets Included, Great Price for High End Speakers
What's not so great: Center Channel Speaker Could Be Bigger
"The sound is great from these speakers, even with the volume turned way up they sound great. The mounting brackets don't give you a lot of space to work with when putting them on the wall but they do the job and they are included in the package. Pair these with the Mirage Sub Woofer to enhance the sound. If you are looking for high end speakers but on a budget these are a great buy. If you have some extra cash I'd try the package with the larger center speaker - sometimes the center speaker doesn't have enough oomph and the bigger speaker would probably take care of this. All in all, great speakers at a good price."

"I have had these speakers and the matching sub for 2 years now and they have performed incredibly. I replaced a very large set of very expensive tower speakers thinking I would regret it, and to be honest, I havent missed the towers at all. If you are looking for a great home theater setup this would be a great way to start. Music is very clean, and movies are simply jaw dropping. You won't believe the sound they produce. Even if you dont need small speakers you won't be disappointed."

What's not so great: Incredibly stupid mounting bracket.
"Okay, lets get the negative out of the way - the mounting strap thingy that is on the back is totally adequate if you are going to mount it on the wall, but if you wanted to mount in on the side of the entertainment cabinet and turn them to face the room the bracket will only allow you to turn it approximately 45 degrees. May not be a problem for 99% of people, but should be noted.
Now on with the rest of my review...I have owned these speakers for over a month now and have put every kind of sound to these speakers and have to say that they are the BEST SOUNDING SPEAKERS MY EARS HAVE EVERY HEARD - Hands down...They are small in size similar to the Bose Accustimass speakers but sound a LOT better.
Others have noted that they sound strange when used for the center channel. I will agree that they do sound different for the first hour or so, but after that you will be amazed at the things you hear now...
I was watching a Eli Stone in High Def the first night I had them installed and was hearing the echo in the courtroom they where filming in and can honestly say I never heard that before...Music - comes alive and I am hearing notes and instruments I never knew where there...and the movies - JAW DROPPING - all I can say is if you add a nice subwoofer to the mix be prepare to be knocked off your seat. The very first thing I played after hooking them up was The Transformers...OMG!!!
If you are looking for something small and packing a huge punch - these are YOUR NEW Speakers..."

"I've had this set for a few weeks now, and it was one of the best investments I have ever made. These replaced a nice Pioneer system I've had for about 8 years now and hated to get rid of. I loved my front tower speakers and the sound. But my wife told me it was time to move on. She wanted something small and simple. I was very worried when she told me to find something small cause I didn't think I could find anything to compare to my tower speakers. I did a lot of research and started with a Bose Lifestyle system, but the more I looked into it I just couldn't see paying that much for a system that didn't sound that great to me.
After much more research I landed on these. Although it is very hard to find reviews on them, what few I found were good. Then I went to Best Buy and listened to them and fell in love. These are awesome speakers. Believe me, I have put them to the test. So far they have handled everything I have thrown at them with flying colors. They handle music like a champ crystal clear like I am listening to it live. Don't get me started with movies. Best home theater I have had ever. Sharp, Clear, I feel the movie, and am a part of the movie. This is an awesome set. I highly recommend them to everyone."

What's great about it: Great for surround sound Movies
"These speakers are excellent for Audio and even better for Movies. It took me quite awhile to decide between these and the Bose system. Simplicity in hook-up plus the ability to to provide a better surround when playing Blu-Ray Movies thru a PS3 Player and Pioneer Elite with Dolby Digital optical hook-up is Amazing. Also, a decent Sub-woofer is needed. We decided on a JBL 10" which completes the set-up. My wife and I are totally satisfied with this set up when connect to Sony's 50" LCD."

Amazing sound for movies or music

What's not so great: No bass without a sub, then again this is a sub/sat system.
"I've had these for 6 months now and couldn't be happier. There was some skepticism at first, naturally but several auditions later had me convinced. I used several movies both old and new for my evaluations, including "Twister"and "Field of Dreams". James Earl Jones' voice is difficult to reproduce with full size speakers let alone with tiny satellites. When paired with the S8 sub James Earl Jones' voice came through loud and clear, with plenty of "heft". Next up was "Twister" in a word WOW! I heard sounds I hadn't heard before. I was on the fence before this audition I took these home that day along with the S8 sub and replaced my Klipsch floorstanders and book shelf surround system. I got these home and mounted them on the walls near the ceiling except for the center which I fabricated a shelf for and placed it directly under our wall mounted plasma TV. My wife appreciated having our floor space back. The center channel is fine just make sure to leave it in an open area otherwise the sound will be compromised. In other words don't put it in the entertainment center. These speakers are just as impressive for music listening. The sound stage is wide and distinct. A result of the 30% direct/70% reflected sound. I have since purchased 2 more Nanosats and have a complete 7.1 setup that takes up no floor space yet completely saturates the listening area with great sound be it music or sound effects. These are just amazing speakers, period."

What's not so great: Not good for center channel.
"Purchased these about 6 months ago and have been very happy, easy to mount, and the price is great. Ended up buying a separate center channel (Definitive 1000) as the small 360 degree design does not work well for the center, but no big deal, ended up with a 6.1 system. The single rear speaker does add a lot of sound even though it is matrixed from the two side speakers. I'll even tune in NASCAR occasionally just to hear the sound circle the room."
