Wake up in style with this CD-playing clock radio. Hear TV audio, the weather, a favorite CD or radio station as you start your day. CONSUMER ALERT: This TV has only an analog broadcast tuner and will require a converter box after February 17, 2009, to receive over-the-air broadcasts with an antenna because of the Nation's transition to digital broadcasting. The TV should continue to work as before with cable and satellite TV services, gaming consoles, VCRs, DVD players, and similar products. What's great about it: Dual Alarm
What's not so great: Everything else
I purchased this radio to replace a Timex with a broken CD, but after two days am returning it. Timex features missing from this one:
* Nature sounds for sleep mode and third alarm
* Sleep button that has three volume settings below the set volume, so that you can have a background volume for going to sleep and full volume for waking up
Features Sony has that the Timex didn't:
* Ability to select track from CD for the alarm
* Weather band
Problems with this unit:
* It also has TV band, but only until the Feb. conversion to digital--little sticker on the box to warn you of this.
* AM reception is terrible
* Believe it or not, the sound from a Timex is MUCH MUCH better than from this Sony.
* We put it across the room so we have to get out of bed to hit the snooze button, but the backlit green screen and black numbers can't be read across the room.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this to listen to at work after seeing some one elses. It was compact, but offered a lot of features that would allow me to be entertained while working. We cannot watch TV while working, but we can listen to it, and this offers TV Band. I did not know that they had removed the headphone jack. This was very disappointing. The older model had a headphone jack, but apparently somewhere down the line they decided to remove this. Needless to say I have to return this, we can listen to any media devices as long as we have headphones on. First time I've purchases an audio system only to find out there's no headphone jack.

What's great about it: Load with features. Small compact, 3 brightness settings, mega bass control, 4 bands,
What's not so great: depends on the viewing angle, sometimes the display is not readable.
I purchased 10 of these for my employees. Each rave about the features and sound quality, however everyone has complained about the viewing on a bed side stand. Pretty much that's it. Great sound but the volume is a manual control, not digital. The 4 band system is nice also.
I would recommend this to a friend!
