Good picture, average software.12/27/2007

What's great about it: Good picture, good lowlight capability What's not so great: microphone didn't work with AIM, software not great, handled movement poorly, not all video effects came with product.
"The picture from this webcam is very good; no complaints. It handles low light very well. Unfortunately, the camera didn't handle movement well with lots of blurring. The microphone doesn't work while using video chat via AIM which is annoying because I have to use a separate plug-in mic. Webcam software was not comprehensive and lacked indicators to monitor frame rate and overall webcam performance. There was no software guide so I had to figure out the software on my own. Also, some video effects features did not come with the installed software and required a download from Logitech's website."

What's great about it: Clarity, features What's not so great: hard to place in standing position
"I've had one of the cheaper logitech before I had this webcam. The difference was like night and day. Colors were correctly captured (no green or yellow tint). I didn't even have to change the settings. Works fine in the dark.
The camera / video function also works very well. The microphone also gives great clarity. I can capture small fun videos of myself.
The cons would be that you have to put this on top of a monitor (mostly laptops). There is no way to put it on a desk to point at something else. So if you plan on only using this for showing yourself to others, great. If not, find a stand"

"This webcam has made such a big impact on my life because my little 4 year old cousin has leukimia, and she is going to have a bone marrow transplant, and from there, she will be in isolation. Since no one can be near her except her parents and her brother, we needed to find a way to communicate. Luckily I already had this webcam to use so we can all talk to her without being near her. This webcam is a major part of my family's life because my cousin loves to see all of us, and would be so heartbroken if she couldn't see us. This product is awesome. I have been using it for a couple of months and it is already worth the money. I have used it so many ways. For example, I put it on a ocmputer in a different room once, did a remote desktop, and spied on my little sisters when I was in my bedroom upstairs. They were playing dolls, it was so cute! This device is extremely useful, and great for the price."

Easy and cost effective09/19/2007

"My sister just moved to California with her kids and so we both bought this - it was cheap (least expensive) webcam available. Easy to set up, and once set up worked well with Skype. And delievered a pretty crisp picture. I would definately recommend it. I think the most important aspect is VGA resolution on live cam - and it has as good resolution (live) as the more expensive webcams. And I don't think most people need the extra features those come with. Sound also seemed to be very clear - noise reduction worked fine."

"I love this webcam. I used to have a really awful one. This makes SUCH a difference. Def. worth the money. The only problem is that sometimes I find the coloring to appear to be too white. I think this problem has to do with the relation of the webcam to the lights in the room though."

"I have got to say, that this is the best Webcam I have ever bought. The main reason I bought it was because I was moving out of town for a few months, and wanted a more personal way to talk to my girlfriend. When I first used it, I instantly fell in love. The picture quality is impeccable, and the sound is crisp. I went back and bought two more for my parents and my sister. The price is generous for a product of this caliber. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a very high quality product within a relatively low budget."

"i really like this webcam. the picture and sound is good. it''s very easy to install. my only complaint is that sometimes there are slowdowns during videos. but i think all webcams are like that. also, i think slowdowns happen if your running multiple programs at once or if you downloading updates for windows or other programs while the camera is in use. even though my PC has 1 GB of RAM, slowdowns do happen occasionally, but it only does it for a few seconds. if your PC has less than 512 MB of RAM, this webcam probably won't run too well. anyway, this is a great webcam for the price."

Great purchase for the price09/09/2007

"Bought 3 of these webcams for me and my two daughters to use. It's fairly easy to install and get started. All other programs you have running must be shut down in order to get the best use of the webcam. I like the fact you get a wider view range and it does work in low lighting. You can expand the screen for a full view. Sometimes there may be an echo with the sound, but that may be due to the microphone not being set properly. You can also manuever the camera's position on your monitor and you can tilt the camera when you have it in your desired position. You can also take pictures with it and email them. There is a slight delay, but that does hinder its use."
